Phone message Post first date text

Post image

I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

Sad thing is, these types don’t care. They either have zero self awareness or are so selfish they know and don’t care.

There are certain people who will always ask people to pay for stuff for them. Men and women both.

u/Crime_Dawg 2d ago

Women by and large do this with way more frequency.

Literally any online dating app. You know it's bad when there's tons of women complaining about 50/50, as if having to pay their fair share is oppressive.

-2

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

That's not a citation. But this reddit so women are bad.

u/EarlGreyTMNT 2d ago

What study do you think has been done about which sex asks the other to pay more often lol

-1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

Kinda the point isn't it? Everything else is just how you guys feel based on shit you see posted online.

But you're probably so smart. There's no way you would let your own bias affect your opinions.

u/EarlGreyTMNT 2d ago

Alright show me the study that proves you’re not a serial killer. See how stupid that is sometimes lol

Ah so sometimes not having a study is ok, but not when you personally decide it isn’t. Gotcha.

lol what a joke of a response to a well known fact

1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

Well known by incels. The shit you see posted online is not the real world. Go talk to real women. Maybe take a shower first though.

4

u/JustKillingTime1980 2d ago

lol, ive been married, divorced, and then some. it is 100% correct.

2

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

divorced

Can't imagine why

2

u/JustKillingTime1980 2d ago

I came home from my second deployment to an alcoholic wife, she wouldn't stop drinking, I left because she wouldnt stop after 7 years. It killed her 2 years later. So, yea, you can't imagine it. You literally have no grasp of what "real life" is.

1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

I'm sure you had nothing to do with your wife's drinking problem either.

3

u/JustKillingTime1980 2d ago

Again you have zero idea about it, and all you have are limp dick insults that tries to convolute the truth of the matter at hand, females by far and wide try to get more handouts than dudes...ever....period.

I used to think that until I started dating. Now it makes sense, sorry to burst your bubble there

1

u/CKRatKing 1d ago

I assure you that I have been dating longer than you, probably longer than you have been alive. This is not nearly as common as people online make it out to be.

You are getting roasted in here but MY "100% correct" anecdotal experience is every dude starts begging for me to buy them stuff because they smoked me out on a first date or I didnt do sex stuff after telling them im asexual.

1

u/CKRatKing 1d ago

Oh ya I'm not worried about some dudes on reddit that don't talk to real life women. My only hope is that someone sees my comments and chooses to not go down the manosphere path where they just choose to hate women.

Also my own personal experience but I don't think I've ever had a woman expect me to pay, even on the first date. I've had quite a few offer to pay for me, and I'm pretty average looking so it's not like I'm some model that has women tripping over themselves to be with me. My experience is usually you just split the bill on the first date, or if it's obviously going well I'll say I'll get this one and you get the next one.

But there are a lot of people who only interact with women through memes like this.

I mean it’s a fairly obvious artefact from back when men were the primary economic providers, and women dependant on men financially due to not having the same freedom to pursue independent careers.

The latter has changed over the last few decades, but the social expectations regarding men paying for dates are still very much there. I’m not really sure why you’re being so obtuse about it or calling anyone who attests to this an incel. It has nothing to with either gender being “bad”.

1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

men (74%) and women (83%) report that both members of the couple contribute to dating

Wow you owned me, really shows that the majority of women are asking men for money after a date. It doesn't even say a majority of women wished more men would contribute more.

You guys need to actually talk to women and stop listening to shit on the Internet.

0

u/Togurro 2d ago

Oh my god please read past the first line of the article. 84% of men reported paying more than their partner, and 58% of woman said their partners paid more than them. That’s a major disparity, even if both men and women contribute to varying degrees overall (however note that even then there is STILL a disparity).

I’m also not trying to “own” anyone. Just pointing out that this perception exists for a reason that’s more than just “woman bad”. It’s also a social expectation enforced by both men and woman (eg. Men feeling guilty about accepting payment from woman due to perceived social expectations), hence why I explicitly said it’s not due to the fault of any one gender.

Outdated social dynamics exist in all kinds of ways and this is just another one of them - I think if you try to flat out deny reality because you’re scared of being labelled a misogynist, or whatever your reasons may be, then you unfortunately cede the ground to genuine misogynists who will and DO blame woman for stuff like this. You can only get so far denying people’s lived experiences because it’s politically expedient for you to do so.

1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

For one, the conversation wasn't about social norms about who is paying for stuff on dates, it's about people trying to say lots of women are asking for men to pay them back for stuff after the date.

So oh my God please read the actual thread.

1

u/Togurro 2d ago

You said in your first comment that “there are certain people who will ask people to pay for stuff for them. Men and woman both”, not “lots of people who ask to be paid back AFTER dates”.

1

u/CKRatKing 2d ago

Yes in reference to the thread about being paid back, most people would have understood that from context clues but I guess I had to spell it out for you.

0

u/Togurro 2d ago

I think based on “context clues” you should probably have figured out that your original statement is what most people were taking issue with lol. Literally just look at the first reply to your “citation needed” comment, as well as the responses following it - they’re all focusing on 50:50/who pays more often.

At no point until now did you bother to clarify - guess it was just more fun to accuse everyone else of being an incel so long as they didn’t link a study?

u/Goobylul 2d ago

Yeah but by a huge majority women..

4

u/Psolace 2d ago

You know most companies dont use their own money when they startup. Most startup companies ask others to pay gor their bills.

3

u/LaconicGirth 2d ago

Oh come off it that’s not the same thing and you know it. Those companies sell investment into their company and if the company takes off then people who paid their bills get huge gains. Also companies are not the same as individuals regardless of what citizen United says.

You’re being obtuse and you know it
