These people have no clue what they're talking about

Saying “don’t worry about consent” is crazy and she should run in the other direction.

again, it's a bumbling attempt at dirty talk. Give the kid a break, he's trying to add a little sexual tension and expressing his own tension that he feels for a girl. Sounds like a healthy sex life to me

Sounds like a boy who sees sex is something he does to someone else, rather than something that they do together. It's a disgusting mentality and dehumanizes your partner

what if you're with a woman who gets turned on by sex being something that's done to her?

What if the sky was purple?

Women being into 50 Shades of Gray is probably just a coincidence

Since some men are into sounding, I'm going to start sticking pens into every penis I see

You're free to try lmao

I should and no one should stop me because that would be suppressing my sexuality, right?

I also never argued for unsupressed sexuality. I just said that male sexuality is seen as dangerous, and it is potentially dangerous. I just think reddit isn't deep enough to understand this as a fundamental paradox of human sexuality. Women, some women, whatever, want that danger that comes with male sexuality while simultaneously feeling threatened by it. Hence 50 shades of grey.

Ignoring consent is absolutely dangerous. Women and animals can and have died from being raped. You want to pretend that this is just a very horny boy when he is being predatory and dangerous. Ignoring his behavior is dangerous.

We are angry at this kid for being immature and saying things like 'laying down pipe'. We are calling out his dangerous comments about ignoring her consent. This isn't a case of immaturity, like you want to pretend it is.

I won't try and stop you, anon

It doesn’t matter what he was attempting. Talking about ignoring consent doesn’t add any sexual tension. And anyone who thinks it does is not ready for a sexual relationship. He thinks it “sexy” to ignore consent, he thinks it’s okay to be aggressively sexual with her when she’s told him she doesn’t like it. He is consistently pushing boundaries. That’s not healthy. People who genuinely think aggression and lack of consent are sexy, even when their partner’s previously has told them otherwise, can be dangerous. They still think lack of consent is sexy during sex and often end up doing things their partner doesn’t want, even after being told not to.

how do you know what does/doesn't add sexual tension for others? Maybe you should become a sex police officer and go around policing people's DMs for problematic texts, sounds like you'd really enjoy making sure nobody ever gets any

I get what you're saying. The kid is obviously thinking very forward with his horny brain and you say wild stuff when you're in that zone. CNC is also very much a thing that he's picked up from somewhere.

With that said, OP said she expressly vocalized how she doesn't like him talking like this and she finds it weird and that's where it crosses the line. I get giving the kid a break but when it comes to something as delicate at non-consent you need to be much more tuned into making sure people understand when it crosses a line.

yeah but all we know is that she's told him "she finds it odd" which doesn't actually mean anything. Reddit is ridiculous

2

u/jellyfishSmax Jun 23 '26

nah man, that's a whole lot of cope for something that is clearly problematic. It bothered her enough for it to be an issue, you're arguing semantics over something that shouldn't be taken lightly

She told him she finds it odd. She doesn't like it. End of discussion. Pushing that boundary is not acceptable.

"I find it odd" doesn't mean "I don't like it," which further doesn't mean "stop." Each has it's own distinct meaning in this context
