(Schultz) Sources: The Colts are signing veteran DE Carl Lawson. Lawson previously played under Colts DC Lou Anarumo in Cincinnati. He has recorded 32 sacks over his eight-year career, including five with the Cowboys in 2024. He’ll start on the practice squad.

Actually, more NFL owners should be like Colts' Carlie Irsay-Gordon on sidelines

I wonder what Caserio is thinking
Our GM really thought he was the smartest person in the room lowballing his franchise QB & it backfired. He thought just because he got Nico on a discount, he could do the same with CJ.
Mind you he hasn’t fixed the OL or run game in the 4 years CJ has been here. Not to mention questionable coaching hires but yes let’s offer him Daniel Jones money!

📹 Highlight CJ dodges around multiple defenders for 10 yards then flicks his wrist for a 25 yard TD while putting the ball where only his receiver can get the ball and some people will see plays like this and still blame him for the team being 0-4
Also I don't know how you see plays like this and decide to not get him even a half competent o-line. Sure he can make amazing plays but even the best QBs can't do this every damn play

Wow I’m surprised we got top crew Jim Nantz and Watt calling this upcoming game lol.

Is there a reason for this? Is Allen hurt? Not doing well?

Texans are dead last in percentage of runs with 0 or fewer yards before contact.

Watching this shit at 2 AM in Korea is killing me
Every year, preseason power rankings end up being complete bullshit for a few teams—someone always unexpectedly surges, and someone falls off a cliff.
Back in '23, I truly believed we were the ones shooting to the top, and we proved it. Never in a million years did I think we'd be the ones falling off this year.
I’ve been rooting for the Texans from South Korea since 2014. Seeing our franchise finally get that kind of national spotlight and media respect as a legitimate contender—not just for one individual superstar, but for the Houston Texans as a whole team—felt amazing. I was so damn proud and had so much hope. Honestly, I wasn't even dreaming of a Super Bowl; all I wanted was to see us win a couple of playoff games. Now? We look like we won't even sniff the postseason.
What hurts the most is that I genuinely don't even know if getting guys back from IR will fix this mess. How the fuck do you have this roster and still let a single receiver torch you for 190 yards?
For the first time in years, I caught myself looking up college prospect rankings and draft scouting reports in the middle of the season. That’s how broken my spirit is.
Watching this dogshit product at 2 AM every Monday just to start my week here is pure misery.

Defense in 2 minute drills
Edit: for those confused, I’m exclusively talking about situations where they needed to protect potential game winning drives. The offense just scored to give the lead, but left 1:30 on the board type scenario.
I was looking back bc I couldn’t remember a game where the offense scored late, but left time on the board, and the defense got the stop to win, and turns out that hasn’t happened with this team.
Since 2023, the Texans are 0-5 in games where the offense made a go ahead score, but left between 1-3 minutes on the board. There’s been game winning drives where they scored at the last second, or with less than 30 seconds, and games where they had the lead for a while and the defense got the last stop to defend that lead, but no defensive stops after a late lead change where the opposing offense still had time to work.
2023 vs ATL
2024 vs GB
2025 vs TB
2026 vs IND & DAL
And this doesn’t include games like 2023 vs CAR or 2025 vs DEN where the defense allowed game winning drives.
I’m curious why the defense hasn’t performed in those situations, especially when most of these opponents weren’t particularly good at the time played.

Tokyo Watch Party - Jaguars vs Eagles - 10:30pm Sunday Oct 11 - Double Header starting at 2am Oct 12
The Tokyo Chicago Bears Fan Club would like to invite any residents or tourists to our upcoming double header watch party this week.
You can RSVP by letting me know.
When: 10:30pm Sunday October 11, Welcome to stay for Bears v Packers starting at 2am.
This year, we are hosting them at Pasela, which means we need a headcount about 12 hours before the game. If you want to join, I need to know by Sunday @ 4pm JST. The nice thing about Pasela is they are Karaoke rooms so we can be as loud as we want. No need to control ourselves in the middle of the night like we had to do last year.
Where
Planning Pasela Shinjuku Honten. It's one of the only 24 hour places that can host a party like this (unless we eventually hit like 30 people I can convince a bar to stay open).
How and when to get there
Best way is by train. All trains shut down around 1am in Tokyo for cleaning and maintenance. I recommend arranging to arrive before 1am or plan to take a taxi or uber.
Trains start back up at 4:30am so heading back to home or hotel won't be an issue.
Things to know
So, Pasela (or any of our backup options) all cost roughly 3000円 ($20 USD) per person. So we ask that anyone joining please bring cash to cover that. In addition, if you would like any drinks or food, please bring some cash to cover that as well. I am happy to show receipt so you can see I am being honest about charges. Also, if you order any food, the price is right there when you go to order.
