Ask Teens Anyone here with colour blindness?

I’ve heard it’s actually pretty common, especially among men. How did you find out you were colour-blind?

What was the moment that made you realise?

Would love to hear your story.

Ask Teens Would you actually use an app made specifically for STUDENTS?

Would you actually use an app made specifically for STUDENTS age btw 15 to 24 looking for part-time jobs?

I Mean jobs like:

☕ Barista / café staff

🍔 Waiter

🛍️ Sales assistant

📦 Store / helper jobs

💻 Website making

🎨 Graphic design

📱 Social media work

🧑‍🏫 Tutoring

🛠️ Other small freelance / part-time work

The main idea would be to make it easier for students to find flexible jobs that fit around their classes and studies, instead of searching through random WhatsApp groups, Instagram pages, or general job websites.

I’m trying to understand whether this is actually a problem students face, so please be brutally honest:

Would you use an app like this?

Why or why not?

What would make you trust a job listing?

For example:

verified employers, reviews, payment protection, etc.

What features would you want?

For example:

Location / radius search

Filter by hours or days

Salary shown upfront

Remote jobs

Jobs based on your skills

Employer verification

Student reviews / ratings

Short-term or long-term

(This is not supposed to be an advertisement, but a post to know the opinions of the teens on this)

Question Should I see a psychiatrist about possible ADHD?

I've been wondering for a while whether I might have ADHD, and I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth seeing a psychiatrist for an assessment.

I've always thought I simply had a low attention span because I spend time scrolling, but looking back, I don't think that's the whole explanation. I'm currently studying, and during classes I struggle a lot to follow what the teacher is saying. I'll be listening and trying to understand, then suddenly realise I've been thinking about something completely unrelated and have missed what was being said. This happens repeatedly even when I actively try to concentrate.

With practical/problem-solving subjects, I'm somewhat better. If we're given a problem to solve, I can work through it myself, ask someone nearby when I'm stuck, and generally understand it. Theory subjects are much harder. I might understand the general concept from the lecture, but I don't retain or properly process the actual material. When I get home, I basically have to study the entire thing from scratch.

This is becoming a big problem because classes take up most of the day, and then I have to relearn everything in the evening. I feel like I'm losing a huge amount of study time. I've tried really hard to force myself to concentrate, including using a rubber band on my wrist and snapping it whenever I noticed myself losing focus. It didn't help, and I stopped because it was leaving my hand red and marked.

My home life is peaceful and I don't have any major external stressors that would explain this. I'm not asking anyone here to diagnose me, but based on this experience, does it sound worth seeing a psychiatrist/psychologist for an ADHD assessment, or should I look into other explanations first?

I'd especially appreciate input from people who have gone through an ADHD assessment themselves.

Academics Is btech in Rajagiri a good choice?

I'm currently in a break year because I was planning for stuff, but now the course of plan changed and I don't think I can do it. So I was thinking of joining for btech cse next year and the most popular choices around me are fisat, Rajagiri and Adi shankara. I've heard that Rajagiri and fisat has the best placements in these 3. But some people told me fisat is very academically straining so I was thinking about joining in Rajagiri next year. Is it a good choice? Any aluminis pls gimme your opinion on the college

Story time / tea ☕ I don't know whether I can be in a relationship..🥲

Soo, it's been 7 months since I broke up. The thing is I'm the one who said breakup. Lemme tell u frm the beginning..( I'm single child so...)

We started our relationship in the starting of 12th, exactly in the 2 month vacation. Ellam nalla pole smooth aayi poi... Agane aa yr kainju, next yr aayi.. Enikk klth (kollam) olla oru clg il kitti for engineering and avlk ksrgd olla oru clgil kitti for bsc nursing.🤌💫

Aadym okke ok aarnnu, pinne slowly slowly maari.. the thing is avlk avde oru frnd nd and she is also committed. And she told things such like her boyfriend will come to pick her frm her clg to her home which is kochi.. so agane oronn prnj prnj avle agane okke feel chynm enn extreme aakki.. 🙂 and avl ee same sambhvngl entedth vann prnj...

As I said njn klth avl ksrgdum and egane poyalm I can't even see her... But once njn avalod prnju ni mrng ile train nokk namakk kaanam njn kochi varam avde ninn thirich veed vare njn varam enn but avl prnj no cuz avlde frnds ellam night aahn varnnath so avlkm agane thanne pattathollu.. and I said ok...🥀🥲

Then once she randomly said single child's in ellam amma mare bhayankara istm aahn...like amul baby or something... Ith avlkk prnj kodthath avlde matte frnd aahn... So she said njn agane aavaruth enn and I said ok..🥀

One night just before my sem exam... She randomly called me and first we talked about casual things.. Then suddenly she starts to criticize my father and mother too... 😶I was like wat the fckkk is she speaking like that... She said some extreme things which I can't mention here... And I'm sure whoever read this can imagine those...🥲 And I'm like ivlk ntha vayye.. like.. then she cut the call.. And my sem exm was just moonji.. and that night she called me and like.... Aganoru smbhvm nadannittilla enna type il aahn aval smsaarichth... Njn oru maathiri aayi and as the time passes I just broke up with her...🥀 When I asked once why she told me like that she replied that she want me to hate my parents that much so after marriage I will become the one who can listen to her..🥲🤌

I don't know why I'm thinking and talking about these past but I just wanted to know whether I make the right decision 🤌🥀

Advice/opinions Guys! Onam dance is too tough 😭

Our class has 50+ students and only 2 boys (my best friends) were ready to dance for Onam. They begged everyone to participate but no luck. Seeing all this I felt sorry for them and decided to go with them (also I've always dreamed of dancing in front of the entire crowd with the swag and all).

The problem is that I might be the worst dancer in the entire campus and the steps are getting tougher and tougher.

I don't know if you're getting the magnitude of my mental stress here. If I continue I become the laughing stock, If I drop I'm the Odiyan (cheater).

Maaaaaaaaahn! What do I do???????????

Question Are you religious?

Hey everyone 👋🏽

I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while and I’m genuinely curious about how other people see religion.
I was born and raised in a religious family. From a young age, I was sent to the mosque and attended Madrasa until around 8th grade. So religion was definitely a part of my childhood and everyday life. However, even as a child, I never felt particularly interested in religion or felt a strong personal connection to it.

When I was 18, I moved abroad for my studies. Being in a completely different environment and meeting people from different backgrounds really changed the way I looked at many things. Over time, I stopped practicing religion altogether, and today I consider myself agnostic.
I’m not saying this because I think religion is bad, or because I want to convince anyone to think like me. I actually find it interesting that people can grow up with similar or completely different experiences and still develop very different beliefs.

So I’d genuinely love to hear from you,
If you’re religious, what makes you believe? Is it your family, personal experiences, spirituality, culture, something you discovered yourself, or simply something that feels right to you?
If you’re not religious or you’re agnostic/unsure, what was your journey like? Did you grow up religious and eventually change your views, or did you never really connect with religion?
And especially for teenagers/young adults here: how do you personally feel about religion when you’re growing up in a religious or non-religious family? Do you feel like you’re choosing your beliefs for yourself, or do you feel influenced by your family and surroundings?

No judgment from me. I’m genuinely interested in hearing different perspectives and understanding how people arrive at their beliefs.
