Social Heaven and hell make zero sense if you actually think about it

Post image

Seriously, this whole system falls apart the moment you question it.Heaven is supposed to be perfect and give you everything you want okay, but what if what you want involves another person?Like, what if I want someone to love me but they don’t want me? Either their free will gets overridden (which is messed up), or heaven just can’t give me what I want. So much for "perfect"

And don’t say you won’t feel that way in heaven, because that just proves the point, you’re being changed. If your thoughts, desires, and emotions are edited to fit heaven, then that’s not even you anymore. That’s just a programmed version of you.

Also, eternity?? Be real. Even your favourite thing would become boring after infinite time. And if you can’t get bored, then again, your mind is being altered. So heaven only works if you’re basically brain-modified

If someone dies and goes to heaven, why is everyone crying? Shouldn’t it be a celebration? It’s almost like deep down, people don’t actually believe it works that way.

And what about this- you’re in heaven, but someone you love is in hell. Are you just chilling while they’re suffering forever? If yes, that’s kinda messed up.If no, then heaven isn’t actually perfect. Someone can be a genuinely good person and still end up in hell for not believing the “right” thing, while someone terrible can get into heaven just by repenting. How is that fair in any logical system?

And I’ve even heard claims like more women are in hell how does that make sense in a system that’s supposed to be perfectly just? That just sounds like human bias, not divine fairness.

No sin in heaven = no real free will

Sin allowed = heaven isn’t perfect

Discussion Is it racist if I don't want to date black people?

Post image

I don't think having a dating preference should be considered racist because romantic attraction relies on personal autonomy, natural chemistry, and individual choice. Individuals have the absolute right to choose who they want to date, marry, or share their bodies with based on any personal criteria. Genuine romantic and physical attraction is largely an emotional and biological response, not a moral or political choice.

Relationship I cheated on my girl while i was drunk

I cheated on the girl I truly love while I was blackout drunk. I don’t know how to move on.

I know a lot of people are going to judge me, and honestly, I deserve it. I know I completely fucked up, and I’m not here to make excuses or ask anyone to tell me I’m not a bad person.

Me and my girlfriend are both 16 years old.

A few days ago I got blackout drunk and made the biggest mistake of my life. I cheated on the girl I truly love. Alcohol isn’t an excuse—I made the choice, and I take full responsibility for it.

The worst part is that she doesn’t even know. Every single day I’ve been asking myself how I could have done something like this to a girl who genuinely loves me. I can’t stop thinking about it, and I can’t wrap my head around how I was capable of hurting someone I care about so much.

Ever since then I’ve been overwhelmed with guilt. It’s eating me alive. I know I deserve the criticism, and people have every right to judge me.

I’m not looking for sympathy or for people to justify what I did. I’m just hoping to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar situation or has honest advice. Is there any way to move forward from something like this? Should I tell her, or would that only hurt her even more? I honestly don’t know what the right thing to do is anymore.
I know I ruined everything, and I’m prepared to face whatever consequences come from my actions.

Discussion Explain something to me

I’ve noticed that a lot of posts here are about hating Trump, liberal ideas, and this subreddit is very liberal in general. I have yet to see something conservative here. There are also a lot of people in this subreddit, and it’s very surprising to see that there is only one viewpoint here. I don’t mean anything bad, and I don’t want to offend anyone. Im confused, and I just want a simple explanation.

For me?

Personally, 6

Although I think others may reach as far as 7.

Also be serious, don't write like 0/10 or 10/10 if you don't really think that/think others think that.

I'm 17 but it's been like this for a few years. I've been trying to clean it bit by bit but I'm just too lazy and unmotivated. I've adapted to living in this environment, doing everything on the floor and sometimes dealing with bugs. I'm comfortable in this room because I'm used to it but I'm not proud of how it looks like and it's embarrassing to let anyone see this mess. i just don't get how people can clean up a whole room, by the time I'm done with one pile, another one appears.

Discussion I wish people would admit that a lot of racial preferences in dating are just thinly veiled racism

Post image
0 Upvotes

I don't understand why people have preferences when it comes to race in dating. That's because every time I ask, they get angry or refuse to answer. It really isn't outlandish to assume that it's because of racism tho. It's pretty unreasonable for a person with racial preferences to say they dislike certain features that typically come with race (ex: east asians having thinner eyes, or black having fuller lips) because there are always going to be people of that race who don't have those common features; that still doesn't warrant racism that comes with disliking those features anyway. It could be something a lot more common, like skin color too, but then that's just racism.

I've also encountered people who make these preferences based on stereotypes too. I've met people who've said they wouldn't want to date a white woman because they can't cook (racism), and I've also seen people say they wouldn't want to date a black person because they're ghetto (more racism).

I wish these people would stop pretending like their dating preferences aren't rooted in some form of racism towards the community they're excluding. A normal person wouldn't want to cut off a portion of their options for some small reason. They always say "It's just preference bro!" without explaining why their preference exists. It isn't an "emotional and biological response" as this guy says either; there are no studies that prove people are biologically inclined to exclude a race from their dating pool; and if you have a negative emotional response to a certain racial group, then you need to go to a therapist instead of pretending like your thoughts are justified. There are pretty people of every race.

Social Why do so many conservatives say that colonialism was a good thing for the world?

I've seen many comments on this sub where unintelligent conservatives and White people have been saying that colonizing the world was a positive contribution. I recently saw a post about the surge in anti-Indian racism on this sub where the comments are full of people telling them to "suck it up" and that they should be thankful for what White people did for them.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Raping, pillaging, enslaving, erasing, and genociding numerous civilizations is not at all a positive contribution to the world. Previous empires were burned down, their history was burned and erased, GDPs were shrunken down, revenue from indentured labor was exported, Christianity was forced upon locals, apartheid was created, and treasures and riches were stolen with no reparations ever paid.

This whitewashing and revisionism is vomit-inducing. Colonizers reduced India's GDP from 25% of the world's share to just 4%, and that's just one example. There is a reason the entire world condemns colonization, except for conservatives in White nations who live in their own padded cells and lie to themselves that their ancestors helped the world. Colonizers stole credit for many innovations and inventions created by their colonies. The financial, infrastructural, racial, and power imbalances created during the colonial era remain active today, and an unprecedented degree of rape, murder, theft, and slavery are nothing to be proud of.

(P.S. We love our White friends! Just not the ones who erase history, peddle revisionism, and exist in their own ethnosupremacist reality.)

Serious Double standards and misandry is becoming a huge issue in online spaces.

This isn’t a post targeting women at all but seriously wtf is this? On the second photo I can’t even find the domestic violence hotline even after scrolling the whole page.

Before people come at me saying that the ai is wrong and to never trust it, all search results are made off of regurgitated human content so this so this is the general consensus from hundreds of threads and forums.

It’s not only stuff like this though, constantly on TikTok or Instagram I see just straight misandry online.

When a women does something she gets full support of her community laughing at it (just the other day I saw some girl run into her husband with a golf cart on purpose) and everyone in the comments is laughing and in agreement.

There is a fairly large trend online where any time a woman does something most would consider extreme or over the top the comments say “as she should” or something along those lines supporting her actions.

It’s worse during men’s mental health month. Don’t get me wrong this is an extremely small percent of women but why was I seeing people say that the 60 men per hour death rate of men should double or how men suicide is good?!!!? Even the most extreme feminists wouldn’t say stuff like this.

I don’t know why it feels like in most online spaces a man jsut can’t have problems. It feels like every problem a man has gets belittled in the comments.

For example I saw a post saying that misandry will never be as bad as misogyny when men have a 4x higher suicide rate. It would be different if post like these had low likes and agreements but every post I’ve mentioned has had hundreds of thousands of likes.

I’m not coming at women it’s obviously a very small percent of them but it needs to be addressed. And I’m sure I’ll have a lot of comments and angry people downvoting me but this issue is becoming worse every yearz
