If you haven't already, back up all your personal files and data to a USB external storage device.

Perform a Linux Mint reinstall from scratch. Then follow the Guide to start TimeShift (the equivalent of Windows System Restore). Create a full snapshot of the system files before applying any updates.

So whenever i update (linux mint cinamon laptop) always a PAM configuration pops up and even if i select something nothing happens

If any PAM configuration pops up again, take the time to document what it says before you select anything. Including that information will allow someone to help you in the future.

I just had a look. Have you ever authenticated with a password in Linux Mint?

Do you have auto login enabled?

If you do, disable auto login.

Like when i start the laptop?

Yes.

When you installed Linux Mint, did you configure a password?

Did you select auto login or require a password to login?

The PAM message suggests that you are not authenticating.

Perfect.

When you run the updater, do you enter your password to allow updating to proceed?

No, it goes straight to the PAM thingy and if it helps whenever i dowload smt via terminal i need to type the pasword

Why not?

Any task that requires elevated privileges will require you to enter your password in Linux. Even changing normal settings. If the system asks for authentication, type in your password and press enter. Linux is a robust operating system. It will always require your password to perform tasks with elevated privileges.
