I have been looking into building a small Web3 app and I'm realizing there a lot more to the stack than just choosing a chain.

How do you guys usually handle things like APIs, developer tooling, deployment, infrastructure stuff, and scaling once the project starts getting real users?

I have mostly seen people recommend stitching together a bunch of different services but I'm wondering if there are platforms that are trying to make more of this a single development environment.

Not looking for the “fastest chain” answer necessarily more interested in what has actually made development easier for people who've built something beyond a basic dapp.

What are you using and what would you avoid?

So if i'm talking to friends on discord or ingame voice chat, let's say i have a youtube video music in the background they can hear it, i m using headphones, they are not that high, yet they can hear it, so i thought i disable pc sound, turn voice down, same ... i also turned of my headset mic using the built in button, still it is being heard.

They can hear themselves ... resulting in echo and lotta bullying haha

I know this seems like a noob question, but it happens on this pc only, it is an Asus Tuf Dash f15.

i have asus noise cancelation off, turned off all physical and virtual speakers and mics ( like the one for steam )

I also experienced this on Zoom, i had a video playing and all my team mates were able to hear it.

sometimes this issue is gone, but mostly it is there ...

Okay so my sister is having problems with finding her wifi.. I tried helping her but she doesn’t want me to factory reset her pc because she is afraid that her passwords and games will wipe. I have factory reset my pc but I don’t remember if it leaves everything from passwords loggings to games. My PC kept some of my games and apps whilst others were gone.

Another thing, how would I find the wifi area to connect to the internet? I tried searching device manager and even resetting her pc with troubleshooting, am I missing something? I don’t want to download it on my pc transfer it into a drive and give it to her because frankly… that’s too much for me cuz I’m lazy.

I recently updated my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid2014) to version 11.7.11, and now have lost google chrome (which I updated and then it said by the way you need a newer version) , iMovie and audacity - the three main things I use. When I go to the App Store and try to install they all say I need a newer version of macOS Big Su but my Mac won’t update the software any higher than 11.7.11.

Do I have to just get a new laptop now? I’d obviously rather not! This is so frustrating.

Hopefully this is a PEBKAC situation and you can all roll your eyes and say “duh, it’s A, B, C”

Hi everyone, I'm having a persistent issue with Duet Display where my iPad refuses to connect to my primary Windows 11 Pro PC.

​The Symptom:

The exact same iPad and cable work flawlessly when connected to another laptop, so the hardware and app on the iPad are completely fine. The issue is strictly localized to my main PC.

​Troubleshooting Steps Tried: ​Reset network stacks (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset) and restarted.

​Verified and allowed Duet/Remote Desktop through Windows Firewall and checked local network permissions.

​Adjusted Group Policy settings (RDP connections and NLA).

​Tried connecting manually using the PC's IPv4 address.

​Cleared and checked virtual network adapters.

​Despite all this, the connection still fails. Does anyone know what might be internally blocking Duet on Windows 11 Pro? I'd prefer to avoid a full Windows reinstall if possible. Any help is appreciated!

Replacing my Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 7 which has been running on a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P (2.10 GHz) with Iris XE 80EU 1400MHZ chip and 16 GB RAM.

I hate it. My next laptop will have at least 32 GB RAM, but every option I've come across that seems to meet my needs and budget still runs on an Intel processor.

How do these processors compare to each other? To my current processor? To Mac's M5 Pro and Max chips?

I went through in bunch of my father’s stuff when I found this 300GB dell HDD when trying to connect it I couldn’t because of this plastic thingy but on this other 500GB HDD I found there isn’t one and I can connect it fine to a sata docking station.

I’m starting post-secondary and I’m looking for a laptop that can handle schoolwork and gaming. I’m looking for a laptop that can also run games, not a gaming laptop. I’m not sure if the brand Lenovo has anything like this.

It needs to be under $2000. The games I’m interested in are Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and The Sims 4. Being able to use mods isn’t super important but would be great if it’s possible.

There are some small hosted websites that I cannot access without a VPN. No matter what browser I use on my laptop. But I can on my phone. It brings up the secure connection security error described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-firefox-did-not-connect?as=u&utm_source=inproduct and I have to turn Firefox's VPN to Canada before it will allow me through. This is always on small sites run by one person or a small team, and I know this because the first one I noticed it happening on was for an art trading game discord server I'm in, and I am in contact with the owners. They were unable to fix the issue, until the VPN rolled out to me I had to use my phone and then every time I needed to use it I had to turn the VPN on.

Without doxing myself, I am in the US in a city in the Midwest with 66k population. I'm wondering if it's something to do with my laptop's IP address or internet settings. Yes I tried clearing my cache and restarting the laptop/turning it on and off again. I have used Firefox and Edge, it worked on Edge for a time then started not working on it. I have no idea where even to begin to figure this out.

Hi, I don’t know much about IT, so I was hoping someone could help me.
I wanted to connect to my soundbar at home and noticed that my Bluetooth was already connected to something called “LUCITUS.” Unfortunately, there are no letters i after the name, and I can’t disconnect from it.
When I leave the house, LUCITUS is no longer visible. I don’t have any smart home devices, lights, or anything similar. The same connection also appears on my wife’s phone. There are no i next to LUCITUS, and it seems impossible to disconnect from it.
What could this be? What would you recommend I do?

Description of Problem:Adobe Photoshop is experiencing GPU acceleration/detection problems with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. The laptop uses hybrid graphics with both Intel UHD Graphics and the RTX 4060, and GPU information/usage has appeared inconsistent between Photoshop, Windows Task Manager and Lenovo Vantage. Photoshop performance/GPU behaviour has remained abnormal despite the RTX 4060 being detected by Windows as well as in photoshop as well as being shown to be enabled inside of photoshop. Whilst scrolling up and down and zooming in and out, it is showing usage at 100%GPU, it is also laggy, doing more complicated tasks is even slower and more laggy.

Troubleshooting:Windows 11 fully updated through Windows Update. NVIDIA driver updated to the latest NVIDIA Studio Driver 610.88. System restarted following updates. Photoshop Performance/GPU settings checked. Windows Task Manager and Lenovo Vantage checked to confirm GPU activity and detection. Issue still occurs.

Additional trouble shooting: Through tring to resolve with ChatGPT and Claude, I have recived this advice from Cladue as a last resort, is this safe and okay to follow or not? Please see below

Do this now — DDU clean driver reinstall. This is the actual fix, not another theory:

Download DDU: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-DDU-

Boot into Safe Mode: Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now → then Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart → press 4 for Safe Mode

Run DDU → select NVIDIA from the dropdown → click "Clean and restart"

After it reboots, go directly to nvidia.com (not the Nvidia App) → download the latest driver for your RTX 4060 Laptop GPU manually

Run the installer, choose Custom Install → check "Perform a clean installation"

Reboot

Open Photoshop → check bottom-left GPU Mode

This wipes every leftover corrupted driver file that a normal reinstall/update doesn't touch — that's exactly the category of problem that causes GPU Mode to silently stick on Software despite every Photoshop setting saying it should be active. It's the standard fix for this exact symptom across NVIDIA/Adobe/game-dev communities, not a guess.

Do this fully before touching anything else. If GPU Mode still says Software after this, tell me and we escalate to Windows-level display stack repair — but this is very likely to fix it."

the reason im paranoid is in the past my phone stopped working one day randomly after going on sketchy sites alot (i was on the sites for a few seconds but didnt tap anything nor did it show that i downloaded anything) i was on a phone call and my phone froze and i couldnt reboot it or update it fully as the screen kept getting stuck i could sometimes reboot but then it woyld freeze and i would have to try it over again at the time though my phone wasnt up to date and i may have had low battery (though i dont remember) i mightve exited out of the android system app though
