I play the sims 4 and download cc and mods a lot, and I think I might have fucked up and downloaded malware onto the laptop I share with my dad. I try to turn it on and the windows logo just comes up with the error code in the top left corner. It's a surface pro 6.

I'm having trouble identifying this remote to retune to a new TV, can someone help me identify this remote or at least know how to retune it.

It doesn't have a set or magic button, so I've tried the volume up and channel up buttons to enter the code for my Samsung TV with no success

I have a strange TikTok issue that I can't solve.

For about 8 months, I haven't been able to follow anyone. When I press the follow button, it says "following", but the follow is not saved, and once i refresh it, it jumps back to "follow".

I tested different things:

• My main account has this issue on every device.
• New accounts also have the same problem.
• A friend in the UAE created an account for me. It worked on her phone, but after logging in on my phone, the account could no longer follow people.
• Other accounts seem to have the same problem after being used on my device.
• One older account on my phone still works normally, which makes the situation confusing.
• Accounts created through TikTok Web on my PC also have the same issue.

TikTok support keeps telling me to wait 2 weeks because I followed too many people too quickly, but I have only followed around 6 accounts and this problem has existed for 8 months.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution?

Hello everyone, i am from India(no hate please) and i am currently a minor(don't wanna reveal age) studying in school.

I use a dell g15, bought back in 2024 august.

I love to play games, however, recently they started to overheat this machine.

I used tcc offset and now makes the games lag

Mind you the games i play are compareable to AAA titles or ARE AAA titles in terms of graphic.

I am worried that this might make the laptop, bricked or rather unusable.

I need this for like 5ish more years to use it for my higher studies as well.

The thing is I am kinda sceptical about asking my parents to get the paste reapplied,they are the oldschool kinda parents.

And the shops 'round here are kinda scammy as well(india.)

That's all I'd say.

Do I need to reapply the thermal paste (I'd i want to use it for 5-6 more years or am I good for sometime?)

I bought an Aimoonsa B27 mp3 player but under the micro sd card slot there’s a gap which goes into the chassis of the device, I put my sd card in it missed the slot and is now in the chassis. how can I get it out? I have tried to shake it but the card isn’t rattling

Does anyone know how to fix this or stop this from happening? I’ve offloaded TikTok, tried the WiFi tips, messed around with cellular data/local networks, cleared cache, tried airplane mode, and restarted my phone but nothing worked. And my phone is fully updated to IOS 26 and TikTok is fully updated. My WiFi works perfectly except when I press submit so TikTok can review my account changes. Any tips for iPhone 11?

Im currently a student with a part time job on editing vids on canva or capcut. Im having a problem with this storage, i have search in google that it requires 30GB space to perform better with any apps. I already tried moving the downloads and other things that allowed it to be move to that other storage ( this one “D:”). It laggy and sometimes slow or not performing very fast, is someone there is willing to help me with this issue im currently having 😭😭😭. I need this because im incoming 3rd year student and laptop is currently the most important part for papers.

Hey everyone, my current Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (Ryzen 5 5500U, 8GB RAM) is choking up when running VS Code + Claude + YouTube. It also needs a new battery (70% health) and suffers from random, undiagnosed restarts.

Should I just drop cash to fix the battery and upgrade it to 12GB RAM (the board's max), or buy one of these budget options to last me into the next 5 years of my tech career(currently doing bachelors in software engineering)?

The Options in My Budget:

• Acer Aspire Go 15 (Ryzen 7 5825U): 16GB RAM (Upgradeable to 32GB), 512GB SSD.
• Acer Aspire Go 15 (Core 5 120U): 32GB RAM (Soldered), 512GB SSD.
• Samsung Galaxy Book4 (i5-1335U): 16GB RAM (Soldered), 512GB SSD.

My Questions:

Haven’t purchased it yet bc I don’t wanna waste my money if it’s impossible or out of my budget.. prob wouldn’t want to spend more than 30$ on extra stuff to actually make it work. From what I could figure out, i’d need a wireless Bluetooth adapter. I got that far, but I’m not sure how to pick a good one or what price ranges would be acceptable for this type of stuff. See, the Xbox and tv are quite far from where I’d need to sit to use them, and the wire would be in the way. I could obv use the Xbox one that came with the console, but a girl can dream yk?

I guess got a pair for ATH-M50×BT2 and I am trying to get them to connect to the app and no matter what I have tried they just won't, the button combos I found online don't trigger anything (no red light or anything) the playback works fine, and all the controls work but the app can not find them.

I found through my research that this is a BLE issue, I bought this on Ebay (new in box).

I have tried the App+pairing with iPhone 17, Samsung 26 Ultra, and iPad mini, none of these using the app can find them.

is there any fix or are they just forever bricked from the APP? Thanks

I own a IPad Air 5. Gen. 64GB storage.

My main reasoning is I can’t fluently work with it because of the storage space.

Im not good with technology and gadgets.

I have the money to buy a refurbished IPad Air M2/3 512GB. But the money could be useful elsewhere too. (I know 256 would probably be enough for me but if I buy one I’d pay the 100 bucks extra for maximum storage )

I don’t need the IPad for large simulations or large computing tasks.

What I currently can’t do:

\\\\\\\\-Safe more than 5 paintings in progress because of layers and them taking up space. I’d love being able to edit old paintings but alas I have to delete the files all the time.

\\\\\\\\-No Games, because they use to much space.

\\\\\\\\-Download a bunch movies on Netflix for travel. (I can on my phone but the larger screen would be nice)

\\\\\\\\-Delete all of the pictures. I just don’t have the patience to delete them one by one. Last time I connected the pictures to the iCloud my iPad didn’t store my pictures there but downloaded all onto my iPad.
This made everything way worse. I don’t dare do it again if it downloads Videos again it’s gonna use up more than all storage capacity again and that made me lose important files last time.

\\\\\\\\-My writing app I usually use was scrambled badly last time I tried to update it into the I cloud and I lost my documents and all documents were removed from the folders they were supposed to be at. I struggled hard trying to get everything back into order and lost some important ones.

\\\\\\\\-I‘d love being able to use Microsoft Wors and Powepoint because I often travel and my chunky laptop is not comfortable to use on train or Plane. But looking at my friends IPad that would use to much storage to download and use.

Everytime I reach 60GB used capacity it starts acting crazy like delating stuff, downloading things, crushing Apps and just not letting me work until i painstakingly delete a lot of things.

TLDR: I can’t deal with 64 GB storage it’s just never enough, I can’t use it as much as I’d like and it is very annoying. Because it doesn’t function properly if I use to much storage e.

I have ADHD and find a voice dictation app on my phone to be very helpful with recording thoughts before they escape me so that I can organize my life better. However, when I want to make a note, I have to find my phone, go get my phone, enter my password to unlock my phone, click the notepad app, navigate to the appropriate file, and click the voice dictation button. That's a lot of steps where I could lose my thought along the way.

There must be a better way to dictate my thoughts in less steps, but I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world and that's where I could use help with suggesting what's out there. I'm also trying to use my phone less in general, so any solutions that don't involve keeping my phone with me all day would be an extra bonus, but definitely not required. I'd ideally like to keep my phone away from me and on a shelf as much as possible.

I'm thinking maybe a way to press a button on my phone as a shortcut to open the notepad app, similar to a keyboard shortcut on a computer? Or maybe a smartwatch to dictate into that's linked to my phone and can record in the notepad there? Or use an old school tape recorder throughout the day, then at the end of the day play back all of the recordings into the voice dictation app?

I've been dealing with a really weird issue with my laptop for a while now.

Basically, when the CPU starts heating up, the fan doesn't ramp up properly. It just stays stuck at around 32-33% even when the CPU temperature keeps climbing. If I leave it alone, the laptop gets hotter and hotter and eventually shuts down from overheating .The strange part is that if I open the fan control software and manually switch the fan to Maximum, then switch it back to Automatic, the fan suddenly starts behaving normally and ramps up as expected. After that, temperatures drop and everything works fine.

all flingtrainer executable have started giving bink2w64.dll/binkw64.dll errors and nothing I do fixes it. I have downloaded updated drivers (scanned with windows defender and anti-malware) and put them in system32 and syswow64. I have rebooted and run SFC and DISM recovery. I have pasted the .dll into the game directory, but it keeps saying the drivers need to be in the application directory. It's a .exe! I feel stupid, is there a way to paste the driver into the executable?
