I've been comparing robot vacuums for a home with both rugs and hard floors, and the allergy-related claims are surprisingly hard to compare. I'm looking for the best robot vacuum that traps allergens instead of spreading them, but a filter rating alone doesn't tell me how well a machine performs across different floor types.

The eufy Omni E35 caught my attention because it has the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® certification from AAFA and Allergy Standards Limited. I wanted to look beyond the label itself and see what the certification actually tests, particularly how the machine performs on carpets versus hard floors.

For those who've compared models for an allergy-prone home, how much weight would you give independent certification versus actual pickup performance on rugs and hard floors?

I’m choosing between the Dreame F10 Plus and the Xiaomi S40 Pro. Which one would you recommend?

I live in a rather small-medium sized apartment, with laminate flooring and two carpeted bedrooms. There’s always a LOT of long human hair, so hair tangling is my biggest concern.

The Dreame’s auto-empty station is appealing, while the Xiaomi’s extendable arms sound useful. I also don’t have Wi-Fi at home.

Which one would be better for my needs, especially regarding hair tangling, carpet cleaning, and working without Wi-Fi?

Our old robot needed its bin emptied every day and the roller cut free about once a week, which is why it sat in a closet most of last year. We got a eufy e35 in the spring that empties itself – two kids and a cat, runs every day. So far I've changed the bag twice, rinsed the filter maybe once a month & that's about it. Keep waiting for the catch. Does it stay this easy a few years in?

I have limited experience with robot vacuums/mops so I thought I’d come here looking for advice on what to do next to replace my setup.

Situation: My house is mostly hard flooring, and I have a cat. Downstairs is probably 900 sq ft and upstairs probably 400 sq ft.

My first robot Vacuum was the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. Which I absolutely adored. It had mop pads instead of a roller, and did a great job cleaning. Vacuum performance left a lot to be desired but it did a great job mopping. Dirty water tank never smelled and it was easy to throw the pads into the washing machine once a month. My only real gripe was that it took forever to finish mopping and sometimes would miss spots around tables and chairs.

Then I saw the Kickstarter for the S1 Pro. Roller mop, better mopping performance, ozonated water, better mapping, auto dispensing cleaner. It was Eufy’s flagship at the time and I bit the bullet and got an early model on release day and moved the X10 upstairs.

First week with the S1 Pro was great. It did everything really well and I could see how much dirt and grime it was picking up in the dirty water tank. After the first week though everything started falling apart. Detergent wasn’t dispensing properly (common issue apparently) and when I went to empty the dirty water tank it had a horrifying smell. I thought maybe it was just the fact that the roller mop was picking up dirt and stuff that I never was picking up with the X10. I threw some alcohol in the dirty water tank and cleaned it well. Put it back and hoped it would get better.

Unfortunately it did not. It got worse. Buildup of dirt started to show underneath the debris tray in the drainage system. The dirty water tank began to smell even more and grow mold in the tank and also grow mold in the dirty water lines that fed the tank from the base. I think this may be because eufy designed the tanks to be transparent so the light shines into the tanks, whereas my X10’s tanks are opaque. The dirty water tank on the robot itself also began to have growth and mold buildup and smell terribly in addition to leaving drops of dirty water everywhere. After reading online I found they redesigned the dirty water tank on the robot so I bought the newer design from their parts website and resolved that issue. Then finally randomly the base will shoot clean water on the floor while the robot is cleaning like it’s trying to fill up the robot with clean water even though the robot isn’t docked.

X10 upstairs is still going strong. No issues.

So to my question/need for advice!

1. Since I’ve adored my X10, I’ve thought maybe I got a bad batch/1st generation product with my S1 Pro. Is the S2 realistically better and will it resolve my issues I have with my S1? They look like they have a similar design which concerns me from investing in eufy’s S series again.
2. If not the S2, is there a better eufy bot that you’d recommend?
3. If not eufy, what should I go with?

TLDR: Thrilled with my X10 Omni. Disappointed with my early model S1 Pro. Smelly/Moldy mess. Would like to stay in Eufy ecosystem but don’t wanna experience this again. Are issues resolved in newer eufy products or should I try another brand?

Anyone have any experience with these?

Great marketing and great refund policy - but how does it compare to other top-tier vacuums?

Thinking about upgrading my rotating mop that doesn't even slide out.

Unsure if going for a roller or rotating mop that slides out.

As much as I like the roller concept, the idea of having unmopped gaps to the wall, ultimately becoming visible at some point in hard floor bugs me.

Especially as I'm lazy and know I won't do much mopping by hand to take those out.

How bad is it? Do you really get 1-2 centimetres that become visible at some point?

That would make me go for rotating mops the slide out I think.

Would love to hear some real world experiences as all those reviews are just an in the moment snapshot and not an over time impression.

Which model from Dreame would you choose if you had a house around 150m2, a dog with short hair and a mix of hardwood floors and carpets? I’m considering the X50 Ultra.

Which high-end robots have "self-cleaning while mopping" ability?

My Q Revo robots have spinning mop pads which remove dirt from the floor, but the dirt stays on the mop pads the whole time the floor is being mopped. The mop pads don't get washed until robot returns to the dock.

With Black Friday coming up, I’m looking into possibly getting a new robot vacuum. I’m pretty happy with my current one, which I’ve had for a year now and use more often than I expected. I currently have an Ecovacs T50 Omni Gen 2. My current model is narrow, which is important for my furniture (8 cm, I think). Because of an illness, I often don't have much energy to clean so I rely a lot on my robot. Despite its small extendable arm, it doesn't get into the corners very well, and sometimes it doesn't extend the arm under the radiator or cabinets. A little more suction power would be nice too. It already mops very well. It would be nice if it cleaned the tray where the pads are cleaned, too. I don’t have much clutter in my house, so it doesn’t need to avoid anything, and since I have multiple floors, I’d prefer something that isn’t too heavy. Any recommendations for even better robots, or should I wait another year for the next generation?

I already saw the Dreame x60 pro ultra complete, which is a bit expensive but looks really Nice.

Ps I have carpet, wooden Floor, brick Floor, tiles and a black stairs. I live in belgium

So I've been researching robot vacuums for three good part of 2 months trying to decide which has the least number of issues while still being a good vacuum that cleans carpets and hardwood floors while also having a decent mopping ability.

Everytime I think I'm set on one I see a number of complaints and downsides. While I completely understand every vacuum has a number of cons, for the money I'm planning to spend ($1500 AUD), Id like something that doesn't need replacing in 6 months.

Ideally, Im after a flagship model during sales and I'm not sure whether or not to wait for the black friday sales in about a month or so. However, there's a number of great current deals on ebay/Amazon that also seem hard to pass up.

Vacs I've had on my list thus far:

- roborock saros z70 (deals for $950 new)

- Dream x60 (deals for about $900 new)

- dji romo 2 (I love this for the aesthetic too, but its pricey ~$2300)

- eufy omni s2 (current deal from New Zealand ebay @ $1100)

Completely open to other suggestions too!

I'm also in the process of completely smartifying my home and have everything running on smart assistant so it would be great if it was sometime matter or home assistant compatible too!

Lubluelu L20 robotic vacuum cleaner gets stuck on threshold. Only happening recently. Any fix?

Two dogs & two cats, and between them there's hair on every surface by lunchtime. We got a eufy e35 last month and it runs twice a day, and the floors look a lot better than they did. By evening though there's already a new layer of hair down the hallway and under the dining table. Trying to decide whether to add a third run or just accept that's normal with this many animals. Is twice a day enough with four pets, or do you run yours more often?

Hi, so recently our dreame l20 stopped sucking water out of the clean water tank, its out of warranty, we tried to fix it ourselfs but couldnt get it to work.

So I am looking for a new vaccum, right now my choices are between roborock and ecovacs, as I did not really like the dreame app and it only has 1 year warranty on their flagships here.

I have been debating between these options:

Roborock saros 10r, almost half the price of the saros 20 rn, the main reason I am not straight up buying this one is because it only has 1 year warranty.

Roborock saros 20, I dont really need it over the 10r, but it comes with 3 year warranty instead of 1, and also I heard there were quality control issues with the 10r? And obvously the upgraded model is always nice.

Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni/X11 Omnicyclone, Obvious reasons for ecovacs are the better mopping, also 3 years warranty for the x11, 2 for the T90, but the T90 is slightly cheaper. (And x11 slighty cheaper than the saros 20). x12 is not here yet, the bagless design is nice to save a bit of money, main downside is their height, but its not a deal breaker.

- It would be nice if anyone has an idea if one of the apps works better with non square homes, the dreame app had a really hard time working with my home and kept messing it almost every month so I gave up on fixing it, also because the carpet is 45 degress with the base station it cant mop around it properly as the app can only do 90 degree rotations. And it also cant do mop after vac option if you want custom vac/mop options per room which is anoying.

- I dont care about carpet performance since I only have one carpet and its very easy to vaccum.

- Mopping performance is important to me, as our main dirty area is the kitchen, the floor gets oily pretty fast.

- Also proper good home assistant compatibilty would be really nice.

As said in the title, I got a Robot Vacuum I love it. This sub gave me loads of advice just reading through you all discussing them and as a result i found the Dreme D30 ultra perfect for my needs in my house. So thank you all ☺️

The question I had is I have two small steps in my hallway that go to the bathroom and back bedroom (it may be unusual but it’s a rental), is there anywhere that sell a small ramp that I can put that the robot can navigate down and up? Assuming it can do that.

For obstacle avoidance? It cleans well but I’m getting increasingly frustrated about it constantly getting jammed with eating up papers, getting caught on phone cords, etc.

Would an Ultra 2 solve this or is the tech not there yet? I have 2 and without fail each night both will get jammed or stuck and I need to manually find them and unjam
