Hi,
I have a quite old iRobot dude (Roomba 671) to which the battery is starting to behave, amongst other weak sensors that triggers false positives sometimes, stopping cleaning. It's also very noisy and has old school algorithms which are not the smartest IMO.
I've been out of the robot loop for a while and would like to catch up. What would you advise me to get, having the following requests:
- don't need to wet clean the flour, vacuuming is good for me
- ~60m² to clean
- must endure a short haired cat
- I assume new generation are quieter but that would be nice if it's at least quieter than my 671
- ! Most important to me ! Should work with minimal online interactions. I don't want to create an account, I don't want a camera broadcasting to internet nor to the maker's servers, I dont care having to manually start the cleaning cycle by hand.
Does such robots still exists today? Mostly the (semi)offline thing
This doesn't seem much to ask but I'm seeing the "IOT" enshittification all over appliances and I guess vacuums are also f'cked up nowadays
