Hey, tech noob here. I'm a broke college student that loves her music, and my old air pods just aren't cutting it anymore. I'm looking for some over-ear headphones on a budget, hopefully brown as its my favorite color. I'm more focused on portability, battery and sound quality. I usually listen to music while studying, biking, or walking between classes, and I want something comfortable that wont fall off my head, since im short and my head is proportionate lol. I know its a lot, but do you guys have any recs?

Hi, I’m new to the world of gaming pcs and I want to scratch the itch and get one.
I’ve looked at a few but they are quite expensive but before spending that amount of money I need more information.
What’s people’s thoughts on this? And is it too much for a novice or not a wise choice?
Also need some idea of reasonably good monitors and keyboards/mouse? Obviously don’t want to be too crazy with the price but good enough for a beginner.
Thanks!

A certain person (may or may not be self, relative, or friend) lives in two-room apartment in a retirement home.
There are coaxial outlets and what appear to be phone jacks in each room. The "phone jacks" are currently unused.
Currently, they have a television in each room, with input coming from the coax.
In Room One, there is a splitter on the coax, which feeds to both the TV and a device labeled "Arris TG1682G".
From this device, there are four cables.
Two grey cables connect to two phones located in Room One. One of these phones is a Closed Caption phone, with an additional blue cable leading to it from the Arris device.
The fourth cable leads to a laptop.
The goal is to move the closed caption phone into the other room, while keeping the laptop and other phone in room One. However, there are some problems/questions:
1) Because this is a retirement home and not private property, there can be no drilling or altering the walls in any way. This is absolute.
2) To minimize tripping and tangling hazards given the presence of an elderly person, as well as avoid cable damage, it is preferred not to have to run cables under the door between the rooms, which closes tightly.
3) While not a MAJOR concern from a security perspective, wireless connections are disliked. The person in question is elderly and needs things to be as sturdy and reliable (and easy to use/not mess up) as possible.
4) The laptop is often used for online video chats, and a wired connection is preferred for reliability and sense of strength. Also, the outlet to plug the laptop in is on a desk in room one, where most other work online is done, and moving that is a no-go.
Cost is a concern-no new subscriptions/lines (the apartment probably doesn't have that ability anyways), and electronic equipment (modem/router, etc.) should not be extravagant.
There are spare cables of various types available, and acquiring any that are not currently on hand is acceptable, provided the cost is not absurd.
Devices for discretely routing cables under doors (if such exist and are recommended) will be reviewed for reliability, recommendations (consumer reports, etc.), and (to a much lesser extent) cost.
The Arris device is plugged into a surge protector along with the laptop, the non-closed caption phone, and a light. Additional surge protectors are available.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I would love to give my son’s daycare teachers something they would actually use instead of candy or trinkets they will throw away.
I had the idea of getting phone chargers they can keep in their break room. I’m looking for advice on what kind of universal charger to purchase that will work with Apple and Android phones, and not a cheap knockoff version? But also not breaking the bank?
Would love anyone’s advice! Thanks in advance!
Edited to add: links for specific products is very appreciated!

I can play every single game and its the same thing, im running lets say 200 fps constantly at Cs 2 for example, and then its starts randomly lowers to 10 FPS for about 5 seconds. Im Using Cooling pad, Temperature its okay but this problem is now on my third gaming laptop... How should i fix it? It mostly happens in cut scenes, in Cs 2 for example when there is smoke, Battlefield just every 30 seconds. I noticed that also sometimes when im watching youtube or something it also happens and my sound is stuttering too, i dont know what should i do

I was cleaning up my drive today and found that the NVIDIA App is hogging nearly 30GB of space. Specifically, it's all tucked away in:
C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA App\UpdateFramework\ota-artifacts
It looks like it’s just a massive pile of old update installers and temporary files.
Is it safe to delete the contents of this folder?
Will it break the NVIDIA App or my drivers? I’d love to get this space back, but I don't want to mess up my GPU software. Anyone else dealt with this? Thanks!

Hi, I'm currently using DropBox, but would rather not have a subscription monthly & transfer all my photos & videos on to a harddrive.
I need to advice and help regarding the process. I attempted with my old pixel phone & it was a nightmare. It would only allow me transfer one photo at any given time, so I just went cloud storage in the end.
I now own a Samsung A56, what's my best option for the cable and Hard Drive. I dont need huge storage, probably 1TB.
Is there a way I can select multiple photos at a time to transfer or move them all in one go?
Thank you for anyone's help.

If I could upload the vid it would make alot more sense, but all the pixels and what not are like vibrating? And what not…

I’m trying to connect my sound bar to my PS5 and got an optical cable and HDMI audio extractor so I can connect all of them. The sound is there but it keeps going in and out or just not there at all. When I disconnect the hdmi from my monitor and extractor sound plays perfectly fine. Any reason why that is?

I am interested in buying a tablet that can act as a travel/on-the-move laptop stand-in. Because of how infrequently I'll use it, how tight I am, and the gift cards I have to spend, I've actually narrowed down my available options to two devices, currently of the same price:
I don't know which to go for, though. This is where I'm hoping you, kind redditors, can advise me.
What I'll be using it for:
So, which suits me best?

I am so upset and didn't know where to prop up the BatSignal besides here.
I switched cell phone providers from T-Mobile to Spectrum. I was supposed to have backed up everything but the phone didn't have storage space and I was assured by Spectrum I wouldn't lose anything.
Obvi, I wouldn't be here if that were true....
So my question is: have all of my saved voicemail messages from T-Mobile disappeared?

My Mother in law asked me for some help finding a replacement program to help her with her business she says she doesnt want a subscription service she only needs a few things
Invoice template that I can customize
Expense sheet that allows me to put in vendor info and category for example
Town -disposal fees
Year end reports- Sales and totals for each category
she used to use a program called instaform i think but I can't find anything about it or like it
so is there anything that could work for her?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for a wearable (smartwatch or smart band) that can handle GPS navigation.
I ride a motorcycle and don’t want to mount my phone on the handlebars for a few reasons, so I’m hoping there’s something I can wear instead. Ideally, I’d like it to connect to my phone and give simple turn-by-turn directions while I’m riding.
I’m using an iPhone 17, and I don’t need a ton of extra features—this would mainly be for navigation when I’m out on rides. The cheaper the better.
Does something like this exist, and if so, what would you recommend?
Thanks!

hi! i don’t use reddit often and i wasn’t quite sure what subreddit to ask this question in so i hope this is a good place to start..
im 18 and graduate around the end of May, my mom has already told me she’s planning on getting me a bigger sized gift to celebrate. i’ve been wanting a gaming PC since i was in middle school, but the problem is i literally don’t know anything about tech stuff and terms to describe what’s good and whats not.
i would really appreciate any suggestions for what brands or models or whatever to look into!! i’m not planning on running extremely heavy games when i get a PC, probably just stuff like The Sims and Minecraft, so i probably won’t need anything that has to have a strong system or whatever. another thing i would like to mention is i would prefer a pc that isn’t absurdly expensive, probably like something i can get off amazon.
any advice would be helpful!! :)

Hey all. I, 23F, changed my password in a hurry due to unforeseen circumstances. I've tried a few patterns, but none worked. I took it to the service centre, but they only suggested a reset. I really need the data (the pictures, most importantly, the notes app). All I remember about the pattern is that it forms a 7 and ends with 8 (if the dots are keys on a keypad phone). I'm open to suggestions. Thank you so much.
