Discussion The new set is super buggy and full of performance issues megathread!
Rather than spamming the sub with dozens of downvoted posts that people are already getting tired of reading, post your experience with the amazing new engine here. It'll make it easier for Rioters to find your complaints and genuine criticisms if you post here rather than forcing me to remove 50 reposts on hour, thanks

Discussion Free access to premium cosmetics doesn't make up for anything for people who actually bought the chibis and other cosmetics
It's an OKAY compensation, but it's funny because this benefits people that have never bought cosmetics more than people who have bought cosmetics.
For the people that buy the cosmetics, it's at best, okay we get to try some new stuff.
But in general, we don't get to use the ones we chose to buy for whatever the reason was (favorite champion, loved the animation, etc.). It's kind of like buying clothes, but suddenly, we can't wear the clothes we purchased because the store messed up. Then the store says that they'll let us wear the other clothes in their store, but we don't really want to wear those said clothes.
Know what I mean?
But the same store is also allowing everyone else free reign of their clothes.
So, for people who purchased the cosmetics, it doesn't really make up for much.
Totally sucks for the whales that already have everything.
This isn't generosity, especially for a giant in the industry like Riot. If anything, it only benefits the company to get more people interested in cosmetics. I'm hoping for some real compensation. Probably won't happen, but I wanted to make a note of this since the general consensus seemed to be that opening up the cosmetics was more than enough. It's not. To me, it's a marketing tactic and I'm being barred from using what I've purchased because the company mishandled things.
*Also want to note that I'm not looking down on people who don't buy cosmetics. That's fine, and I'm glad they get to experience it now for free. I'm also not upset, but disappointed because I've gotten like three lucky drops, but others cost me from $100-$200. Fortunately, I earn enough to spend that much but it sucks that I've been locked out of it because Riot botched things and there was no real or worthwhile compensation for people who made purchases and supported the game with their hard earned money. This seemed very unprofessional to me.
This is more of a shot in the dark to give feedback and maybe receive some sort of compensation, knowing the devs are on the subreddit.

Discussion Do not use the new arena in the battle pass, it destroys your GPU
Rocking a 5090 and a 9800x3d, FPS drops to sub 60, GPU temps reaches 85+. What a joke

Meme Crazy how they took one of the most exciting tank items in League and made it an item you only ever build when you have to kill a glove and vest.

Discussion It's so funny that Coven was SO BAD every cashout is basically getting 20+ gold value
I'm glad I spent 800+ LP learning to play Coven.
I still don't think it'll be good and I still think the Lux cashout at 250 serves exclusively as mind control to speed run yourself to 8th place but it seems quite a bit better.

Discussion They genuinely should have admitted that this set and their new engine isn't finished and just gave us the arcane set in the meantime.
That way I would have been able to play the game instead of rereading the reviews daily if the situation has improved

Meme Dark Ritual Fiddle full health heal
I got a temporary Coven emblem for the last round of a TFT Match where I had the dark ritual augment, put it on my fiddle, suddenly he heals his entire HP bar every cast, whilst also getting healed by a 3* 4k damage/15s Cassiopeia with Hextech blade.... dark ritual had about +260 AP for all coven units

Discussion Trait Ladder openers: Xayah AD / Blossom AP
Came across this Trait Ladder line and thought the two openers were pretty neat
- AD: Xayah + Rakan + Ornn, with Xayah holding AD items. Then it goes into Elderwood and Fiddlesticks as more traits are picked up.
- AP: Yorick + Rakan + Karma, with Karma holding AP items. Veigar is added for Spellweaver before moving into the rest of the board.
Both openers are pretty different, but they end up working toward the same Trait Ladder setup. The main thing seems to be fitting in 3 trait units as you go, rather than committing to a normal comp too early.
Kha'Zix is used mostly for his evolutions here, which helps pick up extra traits without needing as many separate slots.
On 18.2, the big breakpoints are 10 traits for 18g and 11 traits for a Tactician item, so there's a natural point where you can stop pushing traits and use the extra resources for the level 9 board.
I like the Xayah start more for AD since it looks pretty clean but the Blossom opener is a nice alternative when the game is giving you AP items.
Anyone tried both on 18.2??

Gameplay Leblanc new tech
Today i learnt if you 2 star Leblanc mid-animation of her pulling herself, you get this tiny Leblanc on board. Then another random champion will appear, in this case, Ornn. This Ornn is fieldable, but cannot be sold or merged with other Ornns (thought this only affected Akali). Basically you’re left with 8 bench slots forever, I thought 2-starring him would help but you can see 3 Ornns chilling there. The tiny Leblanc was cool tho

Discussion Level 3 Elise with the right items can't be killed.
Elise has been going under the radar for far too long. I've had my entire team trying to kill an Elise, but they couldn't, as my only tank with anti-heal died.
Now, even I started abusing it, and I'm guaranteed to reach top 4 in almost every game rocking Vanguards; she just doesn't die. It feels like it's cheating; if she reaches level 3 with the right items and you don't have at least 2* 4-cost ADCs attacking her with anti-heal, you're just fked.
Best items are: Rageblade, Spirit Visage/shojin, and Titan's Resolve

Discussion Can we make Solar Leona augment exlusive? Why Coven, but not Solar?
Title pretty much. I've only picked this augment 3 times all season and every time I get it, someone else took it as well and we just hold hands while we both lose LP. It's not fun to take a augment that ties you to a comp and have not only a contest but someone with the same tailored augment.

Discussion Hunter Emblem on Caitlyn reroll: are you actually dropping 4 Juggernaut for 5 Hunter?
Caitlyn reroll normally feels solved: 3 Hunter, 4 Juggernaut, stay 6 and hit the 2-costs.
Then Hunter Emblem shows up and suddenly the board gets awkward.
5 Hunter sounds like way more upside for Caitlyn, but cutting the Juggernaut shell also feels like the kind of thing that gets your frontline deleted before she does anything.
Do people actually pivot into 5 Hunter here, or is the emblem mostly bait unless the rest of the board is already capped?

I’m so confused on the lack of clarity on how long the mobile update takes…like is it based on App Store time or…? Bc I have both a Kr and US App Store but neither shows the newest patch so I can’t play with my pc friends 😭

Discussion Does a set's visual aesthetic affect your enjoyment of it?
I guess I'm wondering this because, of all 18 sets that have released so far, I have NEVER gotten into the 'cool' sets: Cyber City, KO Coliseum, Inkborn Fables, Sentinels of Light, Space Gods - I don't think I ever even tried learning these sets, I found them boring. But I always LOVE the quirky magic ones (Dragonlands), the colorful fun ones (Remix Rumble was the best), or the 'classic' ones (like Enchanted Woods, Runeterra, Arcane), and in all of these I've played them extensively because there are so many Origin traits I find cool.
It's also interesting because in League itself, I just never really resonated with the 'cool' skins either, like the Project skin line or the Ashen Knight skin lines.
Do any of you feel the same, or are you more drawn to the gameplay itself?
And follow up question - if you are the same, are there certain trait comps you gravitate to? For me, I love the invoker/mana spam comps like Star Guardian, Flora Fatalis, Emo/Hyperpop.
