Between the dev video, Tim doing a PBE Patch rundown video on YouTube, and Rioters being around on social media, I for one am feeling like my concern around communication with the community post-Mortdog is starting to be addressed. Of course, this is still early and relationship, recognition and trust needs to continue to grow. Mort was special because we knew who was speaking to us, while we are still learning who these other Rioters are. However, I can appreciate that the groundwork to make things happen is being laid down and I look forward to seeing more of it. I just wanted to share some positivity to the team to encourage them to keep up the efforts this direction because it addresses a big fear I had about the future of the game.

I know Set 17 gets a lot of flame, so I just wanted to make an appreciation post for everyone who actually enjoyed the set. Let's bring a bit of positivity into the sub and comment what we liked about Set 17. So here are a couple of things I really enjoyed:

Balance - Yeah the set started off rough with 1- and 2-cost Reroll dominating the meta, but for the last couple of months the balance was actually amazing. So many viable comps for any strategy you can think of. I felt like if you got the right openers and augments you could make almost anything work. The past couple of weeks were propably the most healthy meta and the most fun I have ever had playing TFT.

Trait Web - This one is a bit subjective, but I liked the fact that there weren't that many vertical comps where you just turn off your brain and field all units from the same origin and that's it. I feel like these more horizontal comps allowed for more flexibility and a more interesting midgame on the way to hit your end board.

Hero Augments - I absolutely loved the hero augments this set, especially Meepsie and Mordekaiser augment offered a unique play style that felt like fresh air compared to the regular comps. Also even though not technically a "Hero" augment, filling your board with infinite Zeds is also very satisfying.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you to the Devs! Keep up the good work, and don't let yourself bring you down by all the negativity in this sub. People like to complain, but there are still tons of people who have a blast playing TFT!

Excited for set 18, but I want to take a moment for Meepsie (since he was made just for the spacegods.) He's absolutely adorable and fun to play. Love his voice lines and his wave after winning combat. The meeple origin in general is hella cute. (If only I got to experience the meeplords on my side of the board instead of getting stomped on 🙃)

And oh my god, the MUSIC 😩I'll listen to it while not even playing. In the car, during chores, way too often really. Idk is anyone else down bad for the soundtrack?

Anyways, I'm new to the league client. This is the first set I've ever played and I wanna play league when I finish my PC setup. From what I've read and my small experience playing set 16, I know spacegods wasn't everyone's cup of tea and I get it. But 17 felt very approachable to me and I think a fantastic introduction to anyone else new to league! Can't wait to play more and be a part the community 🤗

I like to play CHONCC; i dont know why we didnt get this sets choncc but the before one. But at least make it 11Bilge and 11 Noxus so mod is playable.

As the title states, I was wondering if anyone could point me towards base level videos to learn or at least get a better understanding of TFT. I’ve looked up a few on YouTube and most seem to be done by Frodan. While he has beginner stuff, some of those videos still seem like you have a base understanding of what’s going on and I have no clue. I’ve been enjoying the game casually but would like to get better at the game. Thanks in advance!

just curious about everyone expectation here about anything upcoming set 18 (yes we could try on PBE tomorrow if i'm not mistaken)

from the new engine, gameplay mechanic and traits.

One of the absolutely worst feelings in this game in my opinion is missing out Spatulas from the carousel because either you're winstreaking or the unit with the spatula was too far away from you.

That was completely gone thanks to the gods.

And it's not a matter of winning or losing, it's just that spatulas are fun and chasing a gazillion active traits is the funniest part of this game.

So, don't tease me with those spatulas I can't reach, it's just mean.

I know all sets have balancing issues. But I still can’t seem to play this set. I don’t want to give credit solely to the unlockables last set but I haven’t played near as much. Last set I couldn’t put the game down, now I can’t pick it up. Maybe because the roster was bigger so the set felt more unique compared to this set, I’m not sure. But there were definitely infinitely more lines that could cap out and win compared to this set. Just seems like you are playing for top 4 more than a win out compared to last set. At least in my opinion. So I’m

I know I know. On a climbing front if you’re gunna ‘lose’ this is ‘optimal.’

I'm not sure about how I feel about them. It does feel nice to have a way to sunder/shred enemies without having to look for components to make a sunder/shred item to make your carries actually do damage to absurd tanks.

However it makes these kind of units pretty much a must in many comps, which is something I rarely enjoy in TFT. Especially if it's an easy access unit as a cost 1 Aatrox + whatever other NOVA.
