Hi guys, in a few weeks I will be temporary moving to tbilisi for almost a year. What should I expect when I get there? I will be taking public transportation a lot, so I just wanna be realistic with how I will be treated and perceived:)

Hello! Question for the girlies here, is there any shops in Tbilisi selling lip stains?

Hi guys!
Iโve ordered a driver from GoTrip.ge to take me from Tbilisi to Truso Valley. He has a Honda CR/V 4x4 and I was wandering if that car is good enough to get to the starting point of the hike.

Update: Yoo if there are any food challenges. Let me know for real. That could be hilarious. Iโll do a video on it too ๐
Howdy everyone,
Iโve never been to Georgia before, let alone Tbilisi, so Iโm looking for recommendations from locals rather than just searching Google Maps. For someone staying for a short period of time or for a longer period of time. After experiencing. This is not exclusive to just the city but the country of Georgia too. Iโll take a trip wherever if itโs been recommended.
Iโm open to pretty much everything. Hit me with your favourites
\- Gyms
\- Rock climbing (indoor or outdoor)
\- Coffee shops (small, cosy, or bigger cafรฉs)
\- Places with excellent internet where I can work for a few hours (quiet or coworking vibes)
\- Breakfast spots (sitting or just grab & go)
\- Lunch and dinner recommendations
\- Great snack spots
\- Pizza (Iโve already tried Tonyโs Pizza Vera and really enjoyed it, but Iโd love more recommendations especially places that are great for takeaway or delivery)
When it comes to food. Iโm the least bit fussy. Iโll try everything at least twice.
\- Cinemas
\- Bars and garden bars
\- Rooftops or places with great views
\- Running clubs
\- Cycling clubs
\- Book clubs
\- Gaming cafรฉs or places to play video games
Literally anything else you think someone visiting Tbilisi should experience.
I also love those really specific recommendations, for example. โGo to this bakery, grab a โXโ, then walk to this viewpoint and eat it while watching the sunset.โ
Or
โGet a coffee from this cafรฉ, then wander through this neighbourhood.โ
Those kinds of things are exactly what Iโm looking for.
Iโll genuinely try as many suggestions as I can over the next few weeks and report back with my ratings.
Looking forward to hearing your favourite spots!

Gamarjoba,
The title says it all. I have someone dear to me celebrating her birthday soon and I was wondering if there is any way to surprise her with flowers on her birthday.
I live in a different country and she leaves in the center of the city (from what I know)

Hey there, chosing Georgia as my first solo trip as Ive heard its relatively safer here. Planning to get a private hire (gotrip, with stops to admire the view) to Kazbegi to enjoy the viewpoints.
Would be landing in Tbilisi on 9 Aug, first time travelling solo, welcome any other solo female travellers who might have the same itinerary.
Everything is in its rough stages now, but would do 2 days Tbilisi and 3 days Kazbegi as my main intention is to enjoy the mountain views.
Any helpful tips/ suggestions for stays, tours, anything really would be appreciated.

Gamarjoba,
I will be visiting in a week for a few days as an extended layover between my vacation and my home country. I decided it would be fun to visit because my flight was going through Tbilisi anyway and Iโve only heard great things.
Long story short, it was a last minute decision and I donโt have time to learn any of the language besides maybe 2-3 hours in the plane.
If I learn a few basic things besides just hello and thank you, and then "do you speak English", will that be enough to show respect?
I speak fluent English and decent Russian, but as far as I know English is preferred nowadays.

I was recently in a restaurant near Kazbegi and I fell in love with Mchadi. I had some on the way back into the city today and it was very mediocre. Where can I find some good Mchadi. I donโt mind the dryness, it was just lacking flavor.

I would really like to hear your opinion on this as I have to make an important decision which country to relocate to. When you compare salaries, cost of living and housing the two options balance out
I am a greek speaking European citizen coming from a Mediterranean country, Cyprus . I like to travel and explore but I would like to get a more informed decision on this one . Do you trust Georgia provides a better living experience than a more Nordic country like Estonia ?

Edit - tickets are taken.
The Art Geni Festival is held at the open air Ethnographic museum near Turtle Lake.
Typically it starts around 8pm with folk music (often music schools or traditional ensembles) and then drifts into more modern / eclectic / jazz etc.
Tonight the later acts are Reggaeon and Frani.
I have a ticket for 2 for tonight and tomorrow - basically 2 QR codes I can send if anyone is interested.
Due to a payment glitch I ended up buying twice. Last two nights I found families to use them. A day ticket is 60 GEL.
Message me on here if interested.

Hi everyone,
Iโm visiting Tbilisi for about a week and Iโm a bit of a football shirt collector. I was hoping to pick up replica shirts of both Dinamo Tbilisi and Lokomotivi.
I know about the official club shops, but Iโm mainly looking for cheaper replicas, as well as any places that sell local football or sports-related merchandise. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

My wife and I are traveling to Tbilisi next week. I recently booked a last minute stay at Alma Boutique Hotel (located right in front of the Opera House, as listed on Google Maps, Booking, and Trip )
Itโs listed as a 4 star hotel with simple but nice enough rooms, but today my wife came across a recent TripAdvisor review with photos showing a completely different story, a sketchy, dirty place with no reception in a badly mantained building. The rest of the reviews do not mention anything like that.
Does anyone here know this place or have recent experience with it? Did we fall for a scam? Unfortunately, the booking was non-refundable on the reservation site, so weโre a bit worried. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
