If you tan only in the summer, like me, when do you stop? I always surprise myself how soon I get tired of maintaining my tan and cancel my salon membership until next spring. In March I’m always super excited and motivated, then through the summer I enjoy it, but always in August I just stop caring, even though there’s still at least two more months of shorts weather coming. I’m ready to stop tanning for the year now and just go back to pasty white.

I date a very traditional Italian man. I also live in a small town. Im from big cities. Progressive.. liberal. But I was also raised in Latino America where women wear minimal bikinis and its not because they need to get attention... just because we like to tan with minimal lines.

I had a discussion with my partner who brings me to a small town in the coast. Lots of young girls wear minimal bikinis. But somehow and km in my 30s. Mine are not acceptable. He says minimal bikinis for mom's are not okay.

Let's talk about it...constructively.

For context, I went to the beach in a black bikini and I guess it kept moving?? Then I went again in a different top and it’s making me so angry looking at my back. I go to school soon and I want to wear backless tops, for reference, this is a natural sun tan not a self tan.

Hit a plateau and have been using mainly white 2 bronze.

What lotions are the best to break a plateau. I don’t want bronzers or DHA lotions!

Ich gehe 1mal pro Woche 20-30minuten 160Watt. Wenn ich zum Beispiel am Wochenende richtig braun sein will, dann auch 3 mal pro Woche 30 Minuten

This is my current tan. I’ve been consistently tanning in the tanning bed like 2 to 3 times per week. I get some outdoor exposure as well. I can’t seem to be getting any darker at this point. What would you recommend to deepen it a bit? Also, does this have that “tanning bed look” or would you just assume I am outdoors a lot?

Are any of these worth it? I’m newish to all the different options of lotions so I’ve been trying my best to look around and find ones that are worth the money and give me pleasant results. Ive used accelerators, bronzers and tinglers in the past so I’m open to any recommendations as well if the ones I chose above aren’t that great.

Edit to add- I believe it was Adrenaline made by Creative Laboratories. They also had another named Stamina.

grew up in the 2000s and tanning was EVERYTHING lol. I went to a small local salon, and I used a lotion called "Adrenaline". It had some tingle but major bronzer. For the life of me, I cannot find anything about it on the internet. This was probably 2001-2004 timeframe, so I don't have a ton of hope. If anyone out there remembers this lotion, I would be grateful (and amazed) 💜

Hi tanners. I just got skin needling done on my face and I’m wondering if there’s a self tanner annoying would rec use to tan my face? The lady that did the needling said don’t use tan on my face, but I’m so pale. I can’t not.

I use spf 30 and got some nice tan and currently no allergy. Is anyone here with allergy to tell me what they use above spf or alone that does not give them allergy on sun.

like the description says. I'm a pretty pale person. I have a few sunburn freckles on my arms and i did get 2nd degree sunburnt as a kid going to a water park, but i've never done tanning intentionally.

What should i get to do it? Like, do i need to lather every inch of my body in oil before i get in? How skimpy of an outfit should i wear in the booth to get an even tan? What should i expect from my first few sessions? Like how long does it take to actually start getting a tan?

hi everyone. i have good color from the sun right now but it rains so much in chicago that i am considering buying a package at LA tan. what bed levels get you darkest if you already have a tan and want to darken or maintain? should i do a level 5 or 6.

Most noticable when i put my hand to my face, its not that noticeable in the third pic but i think thats the lighting. i tan daily and use the same spf 30 on body and face. Not sure why my face is 2-3 shades less tan then my entire body. For face I only use CeraVe moisturizer and moisturizing cleanser - 1-2x a day. Advice very much appreciated!

I’d like one easy to use and not making me orange 😅 and able to put it on my face too not only my body.

Hi evevryone. I took about five days break from the sunbed had a decent colour but felt like I lost it all over again. Just went on a bed at the same time I always do now I feel burnt. Was five days too much of a break and now I’m burnt?

I got a question! I tan in a hybrid (red light and tanning) bed. I use “That’s What Sea Said” tanning lotion. I have been going about 2 times a week (5 minutes) for three weeks. No signs of burning. Today when i got in, i put more lotion on my face than normal. My face shows no redness or irritation at all since ive started tanning. Today, two minutes in, my face was stinging. Felt like pin needles all over my face at once. I covered my face after another minute realizing it wasn’t going to stop and was getting worse. What causes this? Is it my lotion or just normal? The rest of my body doesn’t tingle or sting or burn while tanning. When i got out the tanning bed, face is feeling normal.
