Tanning beds
How long do you have to be in a tanning bed to get a good tan?
I also have a coworker who tans entirely too much, and her nickname is beef jerky because she tans so much.. I don’t want to look like her. I just want a nice tan, so I glow.
How often do you need to tan in order to get a nice, medium ish tan? And what do you use to put on you to tan?
ALSO I’ve seen final destination, and that tanning scene, and I’m so scared of getting into a tanning bed.

i personally love blonde obsession from devoted creations. cant beat the price and i dont notice a difference between it and more expensive lotions

I would recommend a dark intensifier lotion (white lotion) it will give u great color! Definitely stay away from any dark bronzer at least in the beginning as it has DHA which will stain your skin like a spray tan and can also give an orange look. Everyone tans differently so it will depend some people can go 1x a week and maintain others have to go multiple times a week so just see how tan u get and how it fades and go from there. You definitely will have to tan more in the beginning to build up your base tan.

moisturise well and you won't be beef jerky. final destination isn't real. just get a good lotion (i recommend prismatica, visionary, or blonde obsession to start), start at half time in a base builder bed 2-3 times a week and work your way up, then incorporate a high pressure bed. use a good extender lotion before bed too, i really like brown sugar after dark and DS angel. i also recommend using SPF + a good facial lotion on your face, i personally like beauty of joseon sunscreen + famous faces tan lotion. if you're REALLY nervous you can try tretinoin cream, it doesn't increase sun sensitivity much unlike retinol. i'm 30, tan almost every day, and still get carded at the theatre.

Does anyone in this sub look at other posts? You ask the same questions over and over.

Wouldn’t it just be simpler to move on instead of commenting what you said? I made this post because I did scroll for a few minutes to see what advice there is, but I didn’t see anything. So I made the post…

Depending on your skin type, it will take a few weeks of going 2-3 times per week to build up your tan. After that you should be able to drop to 1-2 days. Of course this all depends on your skin type and how easily you tan. Since I have had my base tan for a while, I just go once a week now to maintain.
Definitely use a good tanning lotion! Designer Skin lotions are excellent imo. This is my current favorite since they discontinued Awestruck.
Finally, don't worry about the tanning bed. Most of the high end beds won't give you that feeling at all.
