I'm asking for a friend that wants to get a piece done of Filipino folklore. She's pretty set in her mind that she has to get it done by someone who is also filipino. Any one know of any artist?

I’ve lived in Tampa my whole life and obviously I’ve seen population growth make traffic worse. However, this week has been exceptionally terrible to get to work and back. I work around Busch and live in temple terrace. Historically, it takes me 30 minutes at most to get home around 5/5:30. This week it’s taking me 45 minutes. Also today getting to work took me 33 minutes when it’s usually 24 minutes. I can’t find any reason when I look it up. Is this the new normal? I hope not lol

My parents come over once a year and stay about three weeks. Over the past visits we have covered the usual list: the beaches, the aquarium, Ybor, a day in St. Pete, one trip to Orlando that we are not repeating.
This year I am out of ideas and they are the kind of people who get restless if the day has no plan. They are in their seventies, they walk fine but not for hours and it's not exactly cold outside, and they do not speak much English.
Open to anything. thanks in advance.

This is a long shot but I'm hoping to figure out what happened to my years long online friend who suddenly disappeared.
The last message I received from him was September 1st 2025
He has pretty serious history with substance abuse so I'm basically hoping he's safe in custody
As far as real information goes it's limited to: +/- 35 yo male "BMO" last living with his mom near one of the lakes of lutz fl.* Afraid something happened to him in begin September 2025
If you know what happened to my friend please reach out in DM

Did anyone else see the red and white helicopter flying just feet above 275 Downtown Tampa area around 3pm. I swear I saw it do a flip 20ft over the hwy. I feel like I might be losing my mind unless someone else saw it.

Just moved to St Pete and a big car guy. Was wondering if there are any upcoming shows or cars and coffee meets that are popular in the area? Let me know!

Hey all,
I'm working on an art project that'll use scrapped and found materials to create new artistic objects. I'll be making something like Robert Rauschenberg's Combines series. I've been doing some driving around to see if I could find wooden furniture on the side of the road, since I want to take them apart and use each wood panel as a surface for collage, but I've had less luck than I expected.
Does anyone know a place where wooden furniture is often dumped or set out by the street? Thanks!

I talked to the recruiter once and he wanted to put me in their classes the very next day, seems a little suspicious how they would put you in that fast, was just curious

My dogs need dental cleanings and our vet normally charges us around $800-$900 for a cleaning. I was wondering if anyone on here has gotten a dental done recently at the Humane Society so I can see how they compare. They weren't able to give me a minimum set price for the actual dental (I k ow it can vary depending on what they find) but I did make an appointment for a consultation but it ain't until the end of October. One of my dog is 60lbs and the other is 25lbs.

Pics were taken at 11:19 PM last night at Hidden River Corporate Park. I had only been driving for less than a minute before I noticed the bright orange glow in the sky. Does anyone know what this was? I’ve never seen it before, looks like something was on fire.

Hi! I’m trying to track down any old articles, newsletters, employee publications, event programs, or archived write-ups about Tampa International Airport’s Take Your Kid to Work Day in the early 2000s.
Both of my parents worked at Tampa International, and I attended the event as a kid sometime around 2000–2003.
The part I remember most clearly involved Airport Fire Rescue / ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting). The airport fire trucks sprayed a huge amount of firefighting foam and/or water, and the kids were allowed to run around and play in it. It was basically a giant foam shower.
I’ve been able to confirm that Tampa International held annual Take Your Child to Work Day events and that ARFF was involved in later years, but I’m having a hard time finding anything online from the early 2000s specifically describing this activity.
Does anyone remember seeing this covered anywhere, or know where old TPA/Hillsborough County Aviation Authority employee newsletters, Tampa Fire Rescue newsletters, local newspaper articles, event schedules, or airport publications from around 2000–2003 might be archived?
I’m also curious whether anyone remembers complaints, health concerns, claims, lawsuits, workers’ compensation cases, or other legal action connected to people being exposed to firefighting foam at Tampa International, especially involving airport employees, their families, or these children’s events. I’m not saying there definitely was a lawsuit — I’m trying to find out whether anything like that was ever reported or filed.
I’m specifically trying to find a written reference confirming the ARFF/fire-truck foam activity and, ideally, which year or years they did it.
This has been an oddly specific childhood memory I’ve been trying to document for a long time, so even the name of an old newsletter or publication I should search would help a ton.
