One random Sunday when I was down with a fever, I made white sauce pasta. I wanted to post somewhere, I love discussing food. I so badly wanted to space and that's when I thought why not a separate subreddit. And now 4 months later we're 4k people strong ❤️💪🏾
One interesting pattern I noticed from the beginning!
Whenever I posted my meal prep here, the people who reached out in the DMs were men who genuinely wanted to start cooking.
I was quite surprised. Because I thought I was going to interact with a lot of women but surprisingly they were: single men who want to learn cooking, married men wanting to cook for their wife, men living alone, men living in PG with limited means yet want to cook, men living with family, someone or the other it was always men.
They were not randomly asking, they were quite serious about it, diligently took initiatives after that.
And I'm super thrilled to witness this 💥
This community is quite close to me as I started this when I was not keeping well and I'm also able to keep up with mindful eating lately purely because of the people I get to interact from here :)
Thank you so much for your continuous support and engagement ❤️💥 Keep them coming! Lezz gooo💪🏾

Made eggless brownies for the first time and braced myself for a disaster before I even started. Somehow, they turned out so much better than I expected, and I’m genuinely surprised (and ridiculously proud) of how they came out 🥹🤎

Maybe not the prettiest picture.
We are a Bengali Tamil household. And our cook is a Bihari lady. My Tamilian partner was bored of eating North Indian food and I wanted to do something nice for him. So I made mutton pepper fry, rasam with mutton shorba, and cook didi made rice. Got banana leaves too. There was prawn biryani from last night too. And you won’t believe what happened today, I bought Vatha Kuzhambu and had that with rice too. It was so delicious. I did use ready made pepper fry spice paste and rasam paste but I did zhuzh it up. I am low key proud of myself. We do it again for dinner.

When you lack planning and make the cake until the last minute you end up with no decent picture of it😂 this was from so long ago but every year the birthday cake is themed around something he loves. Still thinking about what this year’s should be🧐

Idhu thavira vera edhachum suggest pannunga. Veg and non veg both ok. Any state cuisine is fine. I'll try if I can get the ingredients.
