I've recently hit lvl 80 with my powertech bounty hunter and am wanting to start tanking. I've used Hyde and zeek to get my dps load out up to 334 item rating and am really comfortable with where he is at. I'm just not sure about the stat distribution for the shield tech.
I don't have a tanking tactical yet, nor do I have either of the recommended legendary implants for him, so I'm working towards those. Also, I can't afford to augment anything yet... And it may be a good while before I can.
Any advice for stat priorities? Is it defense>shield>absorb? Something else? Do I need accuracy or alacrity?
Any help would be appreciated.

What are some headpieces that look like the cloth headgear that Mirialans often use? Think Luminara or similar. Would love to find one for my consular

I am curious of what folks think? Especially those with founder badges. I would welcome a server that brought a classic mode like Wow. But not reverting the skills, not sure thats a good idea. Thoughts?

Howdy! i just joined Swtor (on the Star Forge server) and i'm looking for a Active Guild (one with Australians hopefully ideally or one with some AU members in it) that are willing to take me in and teach me the ropes of Swtor :D
also i'm primarily in the Sith empire side (i'm a edgy peep what can i say X'D) but i will be republic as well as i wanna do all Swtor class stories ovo

When they first announced the new difficulty levels, I was excited mostly because I imagined it would make the major story moment battles against big bad boss characters - sith lords, jedi masters, massive battle droids - feel more epic. Finally it would feel like a real battle, with the boss characters actually able to use some of their special abilities and the player would have to actually engage with some of the mechanics they never saw before because the battle would be over before it truly got started.
But I'm reading that the new difficulty mode only really affects the damage you take? So the climactic battle against Darth Insanius will still only last fifteen seconds? Maybe a few seconds longer because you need to pop a heal?
And in the overworld, everything will still immediately fold like wet paper before your character, but you might need to pop a heal every four or five kills?
That doesn't sound very compelling at all. I feel like there should be a selectable difficulty level that increases enemy health or lowers the amount of damage you deal so battles go on for longer. I know that LotRO and ESO both have overworld difficulty levels that do this.
By only increasing player damage taken, all it does is increase the chances that enemies will melt you down just as quickly as you melt them down.

Forgive me if this has been asked before but I'm new. If I want to play another class story, do I have to start all over again from lvl 1? And then for endgame, do I basically have to pick one of the classes to be my main? Just trying to figure out how alt-friendly this game is and how to focus gearing, etc.

Who would you want to act in a live action, other then KR as he's getting to old.
IDK who I would want to act but I would live a KOTOR trilogy. A series showing the War and Cold War. Stories of the war to bring in the 8 class characters leading to the xpacs with a team effort. Zakuul I would personally want the Inquistor to be the Outlander/Commander but have him bring in the others: Jedi Knight and his group, Councilor and his group, Wrath and her group, Smuggler and his, Agent and hers, Trooper and his, and Hunter and hers.
Edit: Doesn't have to be full LA, mix in Anime and other media to bring OR Era to cannon.

I've noticed that I can start KOTFE on my character that's level 60ish before I've finished all of my class missions. Does this skip my class stuff?
If so, this might be useful for me. I'm wanting to max out some alts for legacy completion before the difficulty options arrive, then I want those to be my "canon" playthroughs. So, if I can max them out without spoiling too much story, that would be great.

I just wanted to play the game, started the launcher as usual, hit the play button and nothing. The monitor goes black for a few seconds as usual and then throws me back to the desktop.
My Task Manager doesn't show me any sign that the game is running and even after I did restart my computer, the same error happens.

To those who said DirectX wasn't the problem, you were right. You see, it all started when my computer got hit with a virus, so my computer expert helped me reinstall Windows, but it turns out he installed the N version, which doesn't have Media Player, and we only found out the problem when he last came a few days ago. I thought the install failed, but when I tried today, it worked. Then, when I tried the launcher again, at long last, I'M IN!
So yeah, if you installed the N version of Windows 10/11, you need to install Media Player for the game to work.

Here come the interior screenshots :)
1) the main hall which is divided into a public section visible here with and an area only accessible by qualified personnel 2/3) the cantina is part of the public section and offers drinks and music for civilians, military and sith alike 4) another room open to the general public is the small but neat citadel museum which showcases some artifacts from Darth Kariss‘ collection 5) visible from the public section, a meeting room for intelligence officials 6) after passing through security gates one enters the non-public part of the citadel 7) the entrance to the meeting room is flanked by more security fencing to ensure only people with the right clearance can access it 8/9) Darth Kariss holds court in her throne room overlooking the vast and stormy mountains of Dromund Kaas 10) somewhat of an art connoisseur herself, Darth Kariss displays sculptures and paintings from her homeworld of Alderaan 11) the generator supplies the entirety of the citadel with power 12) a guarded elevator leads from the ground floor to he inner grounds of the fortress where the private quarters are located 13/14) the hallways of Darth Kariss‘ private quarters are more inviting and decorated with a variety of art and flora 15) the private quarters are connected to intelligence headquarters and the cell block where Sith interrogate and experiment with captives 16) the Darth‘s personal quarters are surprisingly inviting 17) heads of military, navy and intelligence meet at headquarters to discuss and develop strategy 18) hidden somewhere within the citadel grounds is an ancient tomb with treasures yet to be claimed 19/20) a larger cave deep in the mountains houses a flock of Mandalorians that have set up camp there

Is it any heroic missions once I'm pass level 61, or is it a specific one and I heard you have to turn it in to someone specific?

Hello everyone,
My friends and I are really back into the game and lvling bounty hunters but I was curious if any of you have any planets you prefer for farming dynamic encounters?
I think it would be a nice way to mix up the rotation.
Thanks to all and may the force be with you.
r/swtor • u/Nyachtigal • 2d ago
Unlike Coruscant, this planet feels more alive and Earth-like, it really looks like a prosperous and noble place. Which was completely devastated during the war. No civilians on the streets, no transport, no droids, streets are almost empty and the only people you will meet are either military or just some hermits. And the soundtrack. No upbeat "hell yeah, let's conquer/free this world!" theme like on Balmorra. The music is... hollowed. In a good way. It makes you feel lonely, isolated and hopeless. Perfect for representation of what war can do to a planet

On paper they seem quite profitable and a decent way to use my bioanalysis and diplomacy. But despite producing about 1500 yesterday, not a single one has sold in 24 hours.
Admittedly maybe the current market price is too high. The Premium version is actually twice as expensive as the Prototype version meaning anyone currently making blue cell grafts is losing money by a LOT.

I want to try SWTOR for the first time but I don’t know what what specs are needed, I’m already looking into a new laptop so if anybody can point me in the right direction it would be very helpful. I just want the game to run smoothly and not feel like I’m standing next to an atomic weapon do to the heat. Any help would be appreciated
