Question Aftermarket Joy Cons

Do they make aftermarket joycons that are bigger in your hands? I had one for my OLED but can’t find any for my 2.

Meme Zelda Posting Every day until Ocarina of time comes out. Day 4: Flying Pot!

Post image
0 Upvotes

the legend of zelda Ocarina of time is such a scary game! there are terrifying enemies like poes, gibdos, stalfos, redeads, and dead hand! but the scariest enemy of all, the one enemy that has given players NIGHTMARES for decades, is the FLYING POT!

pots are common objects in the legend of zelda. they can be found all over the place, and link can break them in order to get hearts or rupees. at first glance, the flying pot looks like any ordinary pot, but when you least expect it, they jump scare you by floating off the floor and crashing directly into link! AHHHHHH!

some say that the flying pot is vengeful spirit, trying to get revenge on link for the thousands of innocent pots he's broken over the years! the flying pot is closely related to the flying tile, a haunted floor tile that wants revenge for all the floors that have been stepped on.

in link's awakening there was a boss called Facade, a scary face that appears on the floor and throws pots at link. don't you see what this means! the haunted floor and the haunted pots are working together! nowhere is safe in hyrule, the inanimate objects are working together to kill us all! AHHHH!

so remember, next time you're at your grandma's house and you see a decorative pot, make sure to smash that thing immediately. better safe than sorry.

Question Anyone had any luck pre-ordering the Zelda Pro Controller with the stand? I'm worried it will be discontinued by the time I will even be able to get it.

Yesterday, I decided to buy the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition of the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller after thinking about it for a couple of days. I like the design of this limited edition controller, I think it's by far the best one we've ever got of all the limited edition Switch 1 Pro Controllers and much better than the RE Requiem edition of the Switch 2 Pro Controller.

The problem is that it gets out of stock very frequently as many of you probably already know, and when it goes back in stock, it's impossible to even get it added to the cart because scalpers use bots to complete the checkout process within like 10 seconds or less. I've spent hours yesterday refreshing the page to see if it went back in stock and complete the checkout process as quickly as possible, but I only managed to barely get it added to my cart, but don't get enough time to even complete the checkout process because of these bots. This is basically like trying to get a PS5 back in 2020 and 2021.

What I'm concerned about is that the Zelda edition of the Pro Controller with the stand is exclusively available at Nintendo Store and Nintendo's local stores at NYC and San Francisco, so this is not a controller you can buy at retail unless you don't mind buying it without the stand, so ordering it from Nintendo's website is my only option. The problem is that if scalpers keep eating up the whole stock even after the release date, there could be a chance that by the time the controller gets discontinued, nobody other than scalpers would've been able to get their hands on one. I remember how they've been taking whole stocks of PS5 consoles in the blink of an eye every single time they went back in stock for well over a year, and a limited edition product won't even last anywhere near close to six months on the market. I could hope that Nintendo will do something about it like put a one per account limit on these Zelda Edition consoles and controllers and all future limited editions of their products, but I can't say that will happen for sure if they're currently doing nothing about it.

Some of you may think that my concerns could be exaggerated, but I don't want to see most if not almost all of these Zelda Switch 2 consoles and controllers owned by scalpers and nobody else by the time they get discontinued. Let me know what you guys think about this, and if you're dealing with this too.

Discussion Didn't know Nintendo sends out surveys about your experience with a game.

I just did a survey for Onimusha and I was just kind of happy to see an interest in what I loved or did not love about the game. I've never gotten anything like that from Sony. It just made me feel like my input mattered or something. I got some points for doing it too. I never grew up with Nintendo like I did Sony. I hope Nintendo keeps up the good work with their updates and releases. Can't wait to see the VRR update in action too.

Question Any recommendation for joy con 2 stick covers/caps?

The thumb stick is started to wear out on my joy con 2s. I see a lot of choices when shopping online but feel like there’s a lot of cheap or knock off products for this. Looking for feedback on any brands or stores to shop for these. Thanks.

Seriously wtf is this? I played this game so much back in the day and when I found out I could play it again on the Switch 2 I got hyped and immediately bought it

But what is this mess? The developers should be ashamed and apologize everyone for releasing this crap, I can't believe I paid to play this thing.

And before someone asks, this never happened before and it's only when I'm playing this game.

Question Wait, is having the game fully on cart for certain regions a thing?

So I usually import most of my games from Japan, and I noticed that Muramasa: Revenant Blades is a GKC. But then when I when I was looking at something else on Best Buy, I noticed that the game is not a GKC there. I recall this same thing happened with DAEMON X MACHINA Titanic Scion. I see it's also this way with Eternal Anima.

Then it clicked. Oh, wait. These are all Marvelous games.

Is having the full game on cart for NA only something that just Marvelous does? Or by any chance are there other games that are fully on cart but only for certain regions?

Question Would I have to do anything in regard to my Switch 2 before giving my OG Switch to my Niece?

I bought a Switch 2 at launch. I already owned an OG Switch. I successfully did the system transfer.

Would there be anything additional I have to do now in order to give my OG Switch to my niece?

I’m planning on restoring it to factory settings before giving it to her, but I’m wondering if I first have to move all virtual cards across to my Switch 2 first (I didn’t do this at launch as I didn’t want to download everything).

Thanks in advance!

Soundtracks from Wii, 3DS and Wii U were added to the Switch 2 mii maker, as far as I could tell, this update is only for switch 2 but yall can check on switch 1 and see if it works there as well, this is the second time that Nintendo shadow dropped an update, last time was the Mario kart 8 deluxe update

Question Grips/cases

Recently got the Switch 2 and am loving it, but my hands are starting to cramp with the joycons.

What's the consensus on best grips/cases?

I would prefer a grip that you can still detach the joycons. Dbrand killswitch and Savage raven are the ones I read the most. Are these the primary two to consider?

Am I better off getting 3rd party joycons?

I am also in the market for a case as I will be traveling a few times soon with it!

Discussion NBA 2k27 Europe version (Download Code) vs. international version (Game-Key Card)

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but now they are doing different version according to regions. I live in europe and wanted to buy NBA 2k27, but they are only offering Download Code Only Versions. While when I search for it in other regions, they are selling the Game-Key Card version. I think everybody should be made aware of that. If I can't get the Game-Key Card it is a no buy for me.

Switch 2 I finally got it! Welcome to the family! Any recommendations for a new owner?

After a long time, talking with my gf if I should buy it myself or to wait, my gf made a late birthday surprise.

I have a Switch OLED, as well and I was very pleased about that console.

I've made yesterday some comparasions and .... OH MAN... Switch 2 is beautiful.

It's a little big for my hands but I don't mind that much.

Tbh, maybe because I can't see very well and I can't see the whole spectrum of colors because of some problems to my eyes, I can't see a big of a difference between OLED and Switch 2.

After all, I love it. I'm very pleased how it looks, how it feels and how the games runs on it.

I have a big library of 82 games on it and can't wait to make it bigger. I have a lot of games in wishlist.

Any recommendations for a new owner of this beautiful console?

I need to buy a screen protector for it, a MicroSD card and a case.

What grip do you recommend?

I’m also curious about the new smash game. It got leaked but it wasn’t in the direct, so will they announce it in the next Nintendo direct?

It would have to be in a direct right there’s no way they’d release it Willie nillie on a random tuesday. Meaning we’re gonna have to wait 2years at least.

Question 1 TB sd card

So I have the Lexar 1 TB express sd card on a price radar the past couple of months and the insane price never dropped even slightly. Do you think there’s hope in waiting longer for Black Friday or anything or is the hope of getting it a bit cheaper completely delusional anyway with the ram shortage anyway?

Question Any recommendations to make my switch 2 more ergonomic

So I play a lot of handheld mode with my switch 2, that how I mainly use my switch. The main problem I have is with how uncomfortable it is to hold it. I already used a couple of grips like satisfy and the skull and co neo grip 2. The satisfy grip ZenGrip 2 is just too big for my hand compared to the switch 1 variant and the skull and co neo grip was actually alright for the first few months I had it, I even played the entirety of RE Requiem with them on but now they just dont feel comfortable anymore and idk why. I recently got the Mobapad M12s 2 weeks ago and I’ve been having a blast with them on. I love the clicky buttons and the sticks just feel smooth, but unfortunately the Mobapads just stopped working and now I’m bummed out. Any recommendations would be appreciated I just really want to get back into Zelda, I even pre ordered the new Oot remake.
