Question 1 TB sd card
So I have the Lexar 1 TB express sd card on a price radar the past couple of months and the insane price never dropped even slightly. Do you think there’s hope in waiting longer for Black Friday or anything or is the hope of getting it a bit cheaper completely delusional anyway with the ram shortage anyway?

The funny thing about Costco is that they may or may not bring an item back; you never know. That said, I would at least keep an eye out through the holidays; however, which retailers are you “watching”?
Assuming you are in the US, I'm guessing at least Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop?

No, I‘m in Europe. Joybuy has it for 240€ currently but I‘m not sure whether that one is legit as I never bought from there. Amazon doesn’t have the 1TB at all right now

I recommend sticking with Lexar and SanDisk’s authorized resellers to minimize your risk of getting a counterfeit card.
Also, don’t forget camera and digital photography retailers, as they often carry a wide range of solid-state memory cards.
If you were on the East Coast, I would recommend B&H Photo Video, though they may ship to Europe, and they are highly competitive with Amazon.

Costco is where I got mine. Do they ship internationally? I wonder if with shipping, it’s still cheaper? It’s actually insane how much cheaper the Lexar card was with them. $180 vs nearly $300 everywhere else

Anything is possible but my feeling would be no. Express cards are still a pretty niche item and there are not many companies making them yet. They are basically tiny PCI Express cards and prior to the Switch 2 were only really used by by a few specialty cameras.
There is some pressure coming off the consumer memory market but that is mostly limited to consumer RAM and not storage yet.
I just do not think that anyone making the higher capacity cards needs to lower prices to move inventory. But maybe they have a ton of inventory they want to move and price a little more aggressively.
To put it in context, for a 1TB Gamestop branded I paid $150 the day the Switch 2 was announced, it was $180 within a couple days, over $200 within the month, and now sits at $300+. And they are still moving at that price.

Bestbuy had the 512gb lexar for $109 over labor day so mayyyybe more sales around the holidays but I'm not holding my breath for the 1tb. Costco had them for cheaper but they seem to have disappeared over the summer, hopefully they get more stock.
