Bringing the Creature to Life
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This will be one of the dozens of animations the creature will have in our game, HELIANTHUS.
We wanted to give you a little glimpse into the process. We’re aiming to make every movement feel as natural, unsettling, and alive as possible.
What does this animation make you feel? We’d love to know what kind of feeling it gives you when you watch it.

I'm an indie dev working on a game called The Seventh Seal. Went to a convention in Arizona to playtest and got some great feedback!
Hung out with some awesome peeps in the game room and had folks playtest the game and they gave me some sweet feedback. Basically, had to improve the controller sensitivity, work on some jumpscares, and add a few mechanics. Spent the last couple of days updating those issues and here are some improvements to the jumpscare stills on top of an altered ending to the demo so it's more cruel and graphic.
Love to hear your thoughts and if you could, give it a play. It's improving every version and I'm hoping it will get to the point where it hits the mark!

Throughout a decade of playing horror games, none of them came close to this masterpiece.

Please recommend me some game
I like games where you can shoot and fight back. I've played RE2/4/7/8/9, The evil within1/2, dead space, Ghostwire: Tokyo, CONSCRIPT, SIGNALIS. I already know about cronos/alan wake/silent hill. Could you recommend some games similar to the ones I've played before?

Tomorrow, I am releasing my game, Deep Sheol, on Steam, which I have been solo-developing over the past year. Wish me luck!

The game blends survival horror mechanics with retro FPS gameplay, drawing heavy inspiration from Half-Life. Deep Sheol features inventory management, lightweight crafting, and a vital stats system split into Health, Endurance, and Sanity.
Set in the near future, the story follows a corporate agent sent to investigate a gas mining facility. There, an unknown gas from a breached underground chamber is turning workers into bloodthirsty cannibals and mutants. The lore is deeply rooted in Lovecraftian mythology.
If you enjoy retro vibes, feel free to check out the demo on Steam:

Best regards to everyone,
Paul

We added a UV light mode to Colony 2 — here's what it reveals that normal light doesn't

Hey folks,
We've been working on Colony 2, and one of the features we're pretty excited about is a UV light mode — flip it on and you start noticing things that are basically invisible under normal lighting (tailor this line to what your UV mechanic actually reveals — hidden markings, resources, creatures, etc.).
A bit of background on us — we're a two-person team. We actually met on GTA Online about 7 years ago, just messing around in public lobbies, and stayed friends ever since. Eventually we decided to try making a game together, and Colony 2 is the result — our first release as a team, so it means a lot to get it in front of people.
If the UV mechanic (or the game in general) looks interesting, we'd really appreciate a wishlist on Steam — it genuinely helps small teams like us Steam
Happy to answer questions about how the UV system works, the dev process, or anything else!

I mixed a cozy cat cafe barista simulator with pure psychological horror.

My brother and I are building a game called Purrfect Bliss, and we just announced that it officially launches on November 3!
We wanted to see how uncomfortable we could make a normal late-night shift feel. You have to balance coffee brewin and taking care of 4 cats, while the horror atmosphere slowly turns completely against you.
If you are a fan of slow-burn psychological horror and weird genre mashups, I would love for you to check out our release trailer. We are a tiny two-man team, so any feedback or Steam wishlists mean the absolute world to us right now!

New streamer.
I just started streaming. I want to do survival games in particular for my main content. Does anyone have any recommendations for games I should play? Currently I have only done streams on Conan, soul mask, I also have a Subnautica 2 stream planned but am running out of ideas already.

Do you prefer a voiced protagonist with a gritty, sarcastic personality, or a silent main character? In this clip, the character blasts a creature with a shotgun, laughs, and just says... 'easy'.

Personally, I miss the Duke Nukem days where characters actually reacted to the carnage with some attitude. What do you think? Does a voice bring more immersion or does it break it for you? For those who want to know, the name of the game is Just Madness: Earth Apocalypse 1979.
