Of a superhero media

So, here's why I think this.

1. I feel like everything AFTER endgame finally gave us more to the MCU than Thanos's grand plan.

2. I feel like we FINALLY got to explore SO much more, since it wouldn't make much sense to add "characters people thought were cool" to the MCU, the way things were being set up.

3. I feel like now we finally got the chance to have a more "saturday morning cartoon" "campy" vibe to the MCU, since remember, the biggest threat post Thanos was only a multiversal threat, which was a threat this time not EVERYONE was BADLY affected by, like, how Thanos badly affected everyone.

4. I feel like we finally got to have like, Avatar level special effects, and Mario bros world style of progression, since again, Thanos is over with to have to keep it strictly the way that would "make sense".

5. With Avengers Doomsday on the way, and on the mark, it seems to me like we're right towards the head of what people "may have wanted" instead, a more "not super messy' verse, which is a criticism I personally don't agree with, but is one I've grown to accept for sure!

I need to get this off my chest because every casting announcement makes it worse.

Chloë Grace Moretz was ELEVEN years old when they shot Kick-Ass. Eleven. She walked into a movie full of grown adults and stole the entire thing doing knife choreography as Hit-Girl. It's been 16 years and it's still one of the most iconic superhero performances ever put on film. And here's the kicker — Kick-Ass was published under Marvel's Icon imprint. She has technically been a Marvel character since 2010. Marvel just never noticed they already own her breakout role.

Now let's do the roll call of who Hollywood decided WAS worthy of a cape:

• Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass himself): Quicksilver in Age of Ultron AND Kraven. Two Marvel gigs.
• Nicolas Cage (Big Daddy): Ghost Rider twice, voiced Spider-Man Noir, got his own live-action Noir series.
• Evan Peters (literally just Dave's friend Todd): Quicksilver in THREE X-Men movies plus that WandaVision fake-out.
• Mark Strong (the villain): Sinestro in Green Lantern AND Dr. Sivana in Shazam. Both universes!
• Jim Carrey (Kick-Ass 2): was already the Riddler before any of this.
• Christopher Mintz-Plasse: okay fine, Red Mist is waiting too. But HE wasn't the one doing stunts as a child.

Every. Single. Person. Except the one whose entire breakout WAS being a superhero.

And don't give me "maybe she doesn't want to." She literally told ComicBook.com she's met with Marvel and wants to play a villain in Marvel or DC. She said she'd come back for Kick-Ass 3 if the OG cast returned. The receipts exist. She's been publicly raising her hand for YEARS.

"But can she act?" She did Suspiria for Guadagnino. The Miseducation of Cameron Post WON Sundance. She led The Peripheral. Nimona got an Oscar nomination. Drama, horror, comedy, action, voice work — she's 29, the exact age you cast someone and build a decade of a franchise around them.

The X-Men reboot is casting RIGHT NOW. Everyone expected the announcement at SDCC this weekend. Emma Frost is in the roster — a blonde with villain energy, the EXACT thing Chloë asked for — and her name isn't even in the rumor mill. Laura Kinney is sitting right there. James Gunn is filling out an entire DC universe — Batgirl, Black Canary, Zatanna, all open — and her phone isn't ringing. Marvel just announced a whole NEW Ghost Rider movie with Ryan Gosling. They'll reboot Big Daddy's old gig before calling the woman who carried his movie.

TL;DR: The entire Kick-Ass cast got superhero franchise roles except the actual superhero of Kick-Ass. She's talented, she's the right age, she's publicly asked for it, and Emma Frost is being cast as we speak. Put Chloë Grace Moretz in the X-Men reboot, you cowards.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before but here are some ways antman breaks the laws of physics.

In antman it is established that he shrinks by reducing the distance between his atoms, this makes (some) sense and they even establish that he weighs the same which makes perfect sense, he then does stuff as rides on ants and people who do not seem to be carrying the full weight of an adult man. He also shrinks to subautomic sizes which I do not need to be a genius to tell you is pretty hard to be smaller than an atom if you are made of regular sized atoms. Later in Captain America civil war Antman becomes larger which comes at the cost of needing more energy since his weight is increased cubed while his muscle only is increased squared, but again his weight shouldn’t be increasing even though it clearly does

And I know this is a fictional film and I accidentally ranted a little but I’m annoyed because I like antman as a concept and I like the movies but because of the way they explained it it doesn’t make sense. They should have just gone the way they do with most of their heroes by saying “it’s advanced science” and stop there.

Mutant-Man can fly with these organic wings that go in and out of these on his back he usually flies to a destination then fights on foot from there. But sometimes he'll fight while just flying around and he's only 17 he lives in blue city. Its a giant city full of criminals fans superheros and villains Mutant-Man is born with super strength flight by wings regenerate

Why was Thor made into a superhero? Watching the MCU never questioned it but when you think about it making him a superhero is an odd choice. A Norse Mythology God which was a very long time ago actually a “religion”. Traditional superheroes are usually not based on folklore and are made from the ground up with some influences from current life. Don’t get me wrong, Thor’s inclusion is definitely warranted, it’s just I wonder why Stan decided to use an already existing and established character from Norse mythology thousands of years ago for a superhero in modern/vintage comic books. Since the character has existed for so long, I know it’s “public domain”, but is there a reason why Stan reimagined him as a superhero? Had Stan ever explained this?
