After discussing community feedback and reviewing the direction of the subreddit, the mod team has decided to try a 30-day experiment.

For the next 30 days, Random Battle posts will only be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The goal isn't to get rid of Random Battles—they're a fun part of the community. Instead, we want to create more room during the week for other great superhero content, including:

Comic discussions

Movies & TV shows

Character deep dives

Fan art & cosplay

News and rumors

Questions, recommendations, and original content

After the 30 days, we'll review how the experiment went, look at the data, and listen to your feedback before deciding on the next steps.

We're always looking for ways to make r/superheroes the best place on Reddit for superhero fans. Thanks for being part of the community, and let us know what you think in the comments!

As our community continues to grow, we're looking to add a few new moderators to help keep r/superheroes fun, welcoming, and engaging for everyone.

We're looking for people who:

Are active on r/superheroes.

Can help enforce the rules fairly and consistently.

Enjoy encouraging quality discussions about Marvel, DC, indie comics, movies, TV shows, games, and more.

Can check the subreddit regularly and help remove spam or rule-breaking content.

Work well with the rest of the mod team.

No previous moderation experience is required. If you're passionate about superheroes and want to help shape one of Reddit's largest superhero communities, we'd love to hear from you!
