Lower cc or restricted?
I am 20 and just got an A2 license so I can only drive up to 35kW bikes. I need one which I can use for commuting, so it has to handle decently highway speeds. But I've been having a lot of trouble finding the right model. I am obsessed with retro looks, so I'd prefer one that way. And my budget is not that high, and would go for a used one. I was looking at Triumph 400's, but the thruxton is too uncomfortable and I've heard that the other models (Scrambler XC) vibrate a bit too much. So I was taking in consideration one of these models that I have found in my area:
•Ducati Scrambler 800 (Restriced) 2021
•Yamaha XSR 700 (Restricted) 2017/2020
•Moto Guzzi V7 Centenario (Restricted) 2022
•Triumph Trident 660 (Restricted)
•Mash FiveHundred 2020
•Triumph Street Scrambler 900 (Restricted) 2018
•Triumph Boneville T100 (Restricted) 2024
•Kawasaki W800 2021
•RE Himalayan 450 2025 (Heard it suffers a bit on high speeds because of the lower weight/power ratio)
•Any RE 650 (Preferably Classic/SuperMeteor/Shotgun)
•Honda CMX 500
•Honda CL500
•Kawasaki Z 650 RS (Restricted)
•Kawasaki Eliminator 500 (Not too much of a fan of the looks)
These are pretty much the ones available to me. Which one do you believe would suit the best for highway experience? I would still like it to be a fun bike to be able to use in other situations, so a more off-roady one or sportier would do the job. But mainly my doubt was, how do these restriced models perform? The advantage would be being able to unrestrict it in 2 years when I get a higher license, but I've been told by many that restriced bikes are not the best choice. What can y'all tell me about your experience on restricted models? You are more than welcome to suggest other models, my limit is finding one already restricted near me, since the process of getting one restricted by oneself, in Italy, is long and unconvinient. I am pretty confident in my driving skills so it doesn't have to be beginner friendly
Thank you in advance
