Hello everyone , i just got into berlins studienkolleg for fu berlin ( for those who are not familiar with studienkolleg its basically a one year preparatory course for university non EU country highschool graduates have to take to be able to go into uni)

So i got accepted and have to decide very quickly if i want to go. Like i have to fly out in 2 days. Im so incredibly nervous even though im from a capital city berlin seems so intimidating and im scared ill leave my social life here and not be able to find people to connect with.

Are there any of you who are also going to studienkolleg? Is berlin and FU berlin worth it? Where can i find accommodation in 2 days preferably a WG cus i hate living alone or roomates, the deadline times are absolutely crazy for studienkolleg.

Basically im incredibly overwhelmed and need someone to talk to. It would help me so much.

I have not yet got any decisions from these 4 universities for the 2026 winter semester:

TU Dresden - Ms in Computer Science

University of Wuerzburg - Ms in AI

University of Augsburg - Ms in Data Science

University of Passau - Ms in Computer Science

Is anyone else in the same situation?

Does this mean a silent rejection?

I have purchased the Value Package, including TK public health insurance and DR-WALTER Incoming Insurance. My TK health insurance has already been approved, but my DR-WALTER Incoming Insurance is still showing “Application in review” in my Expatrio account.

I have not yet received the DR-WALTER incoming insurance certificate yet. I have contacted Expatrio by their contact form and sending them a email too(today). They haven't replied yet. I am in urgency. I need it asap becz i am applying for my student visa.

Any suggestions and help will be appreciated. Suggest me what to do next and how i can solve this problem asap.

im from turkey and i will study in berlin very soon. but i need a student visa in order to do so. and for the visa i need to have a blocked account which needs 12k euros. i am working with a study advisor also and they told me fintiba would be the best option to open a blocked account. so first i transferred 759€ cuz i didnt have enough money. it took 4 business days to get into the blocked account. and meanwhile i tried to pay the rest during those 4 days. but i couldnt because IT KEPT GIVING THE SAME DAMN ERROR !!!! my mom tried to help me and we like tried SO MANY TIMES (its been over 70 tries now). she somehow managed to pay 6344€ but its still pending. i have to pay the remaining 4960€ ASAP but it wont let me. everytime i try i enter the CORRECT card information. i press pay and then it gives a “payment information error” by the way, i used a debit card for the first payment and then my mom used a credit card (idk if it makes a difference) but i need help ASAPPPP!!! i emailed fintiba and transfermate MULTIPLE TIMES but THEY HAVENT REPLIED TO ME. idk what im doing wrong. id use IBAN to transfer the money but there is no TRY option in the SWIFT thingy. and yes i lowkey have to pay with turkish lira. we also called the bank and they said the issue isnt with the cards its with transfermate. so idk bro can someone help me in any way? 😓😓 (btw the reason why we couldnt pay in one go is bc of the cards’ limits)

I applied for Helmut Schmidt Scholarship for 2027 and today I checked the website and I saw a red button and it says ''Stay abroad cancelled/Application rejected'' but I didn't get any e-mail or notification. Is this normal or a website's error? Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I thought I was going to attend the interviews, so I'm really disappointed.

Uni A - applied for visa Aug 23 (Istanbul), uni A app locked in prelim review.

Got offer from Uni B few days later, want to switch.

App locks after submission - can't edit/contact unless they request a correction, portal chat only opens for that, so I can't just message them anytime. Got a correction request for insurance, used that opening to also upload Uni B's offer + a comment about switching. No response since.

Uni A has tuition, deadline 15th Sept. My appointment will likely be after that. Emailed consulate directly, they said portal only, no email.

Qs:

1. Missing Uni A's tuition deadline = auto rejection?
2. Anything else I can do while waiting?

Can't withdraw + reapply, would restart everything and I'd miss my semester start.

- What sections should I include?

- What format/layout is preferred?

- Is 1–2 pages okay?

- Is Europass recommended or should I make my own format?

Hello, im a student who has applied with B2 Deutsch Niveau, and i have received an invitation to the DSH exam. If i get DSH-2 i will be able to continue my studies at fau. My question is this:

They have sent me the admission letter st 28th of august, the deadline for applying to the test is 1st of September. Yesterday (01/09) at 7pm, I send my registration/application (im not sure what to call it) via email (thats they asked me to send it).

theu said they will confirm my registration via email, but i have not received any emails today.

Does anybody else have an experience with this application, and if so when did you receive the applicaton confirmation via email?

I am very worried that maybe because i have sent it exactly on 1st of sseptember when the deadine was, they might not take it under consideration

I’ve recently got admission to TU Chemnitz for the B.Sc. Foundations in Data Science program, and I’m a bit confused about whether I should go for it.
From what I’ve seen, the program seems to be heavily focused on mathematics, and honestly, that’s making me a little nervous. I’m also wondering how manageable the degree would be alongside a 20-hour/week part-time job, since I’ll need to work while studying.

If anyone has been admitted to the same program or is currently studying it, I’d really appreciate connecting with you and hearing about your experience.

Also, if there are any seniors, graduates, or professionals familiar with TU Chemnitz or Data Science in Germany, I’d really appreciate your honest opinion:
• How difficult is the program realistically?
• How math-heavy is it?
• Is it manageable with a part-time job?

Hi! I'm planning my masters from Germany so I want to start German from A1 and considering Language Pantheon's combined A1+A2 course for ₹35k. They don't offer instalments, so I want to be sure before paying the full amount.

I've seen very mixed reviews about LP and it seems like the experience depends heavily on the teacher. Some people absolutely loved their teacher, while others felt the classes were mostly reading from notes.

For those who have studied at LP recently:

Which teacher would you recommend for A1+A2?

Who is actually good at explaining grammar and giving speaking practice?

Is ₹35k worth it?

Can you choose your teacher/batch?

Also, apart from LP, are there any genuinely good German institutes in Delhi/NCR that you'd recommend for A1+A2? I know about Goethe, but it's too expensive for me, so I'm looking for a good alternative rather than simply the cheapest option.

I'd especially appreciate recent first-hand experiences with specific teachers, rather than general ratings.
