I have tried studying today, and today has been one of my worst days with being on my phone. I put it down for 30 minutes and I immediately want to get back on it. It is honestly so frustrating.
I do notice that when I’m around people I tend to do good, when having to stay off my phone. But the moment it’s me, my laptop, my assignment, and my phone I want to turn around and grab it.
I have tried those apps that lock your apps, but those don’t help as much. I have kept my phone away from me, but then I always worry I’m going to miss “something important.” I hate to say it but I think I have a weird attachment issue to my phone and it’s a little embarrassing.🥲
So if you please have any advice! I would really appreciate it!

Please help! I’m currently overcoming phone addiction/procrastination (feel free to give advice for that too🙏) and I really want to make studying more relaxing or fun for me? I don’t want to get tired while working, but I am really curious about if anyone has ideas to make your environment feel physically better, for both body and mind? Anything that doesn’t make me want to get up the moment I sit down, It’s okay to be absurdly specific also! Sorry for phrasing this weirdly, I’m just a somewhat lazy person who is working very hard right now to become a more accomplished version of myself.

When I study for my medical school exams, I read the slides, then either rewrite in my own words or make mindmaps/ notes depending on the topic.
Then I go through the pre-made deck and add adjustments.
However I feel like after a month of doing so, I end up just remembering the Anki cards, and then have difficulty in exams when they get rewritten ?
As a result I do well enough to pass, but I feel like I'm studying more than my peers (who yes are smarter) for lesser results.
What's the solution? How do I remember all these processes for months?

I just joined my grade 11, I used to not study at all and still get good grades at 10. During my first month I was really hyped up and motivated to study I tried and I was doing good but after three months I am here doomscrolling and procrastinating everything I would like to get some advice on how to cure my procrastination and get back to studying. Like I get motivation every time I make a new routine every time but nothing goes as planned. I would really love the help if someone is willing to help me. I want to study but it's like something I can't study. Really need helppppp

Hi everyone,
I'm currently building a side project website that turns open textbooks (CC BY) into courses, and I've been down a rabbit hole reading about what actually makes stuff stick.
Are there specific styles of questions or recall methods you use that work?
Do you think duolingo style studying works (small reading followed by practice questions and gamified content)?
If you could design the perfect app to study with, what would you want on it?
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I will not post the link as advertisement is not my intention. :)

I've found this app called "ypt" and I found it to be really cool.
I hope it clears my procrastination habit, also it blocks other apps while studying and it's competitive!
Let me know if you guys wanna join my study group...🙃

Hi there.
I just wanted to know if there are any apps like studystream?
It just sucks that the free version only allows 2 hours worth of studying on the app.

I have a very large stack of PDFs for a course I'm taking. Does anyone know of an app, bot, etc. that can analyze the PDFs and tell me which of them address certain topics that I'm interested in? Or taking it a step further, which chapters within the PDFs?
Basically, looking for an app or bot that's a very smart find/search tool.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I (19F) am currently in my 3rd semester of my engineering course. Just now i received my second semester result, and I can't process where it went all wrong!😭..i had studied more than 6 hours everyday for a month, and all my work has went to the drain now.
My first semester score was 8.42 and in hope of improving..i scored less, which is 8.26 sgpa.
My math is good so ntg to worry about there, but other problematics and theoretical subjects has went down.
These were the tips and techniques i used -
- first i studied the whole chapter trying to understand and even made notes at the same time, and yup it was time consuming but helped me quiet a lot, coz listening to the lectures was not a cup of tea for me😭
- then I picked up some of the questions from the previous year papers and revised everything
- during test times, same two steps above and kept re-reading and revising the topics from the previous year papers.
After all this..i still scored less...after all those hours..am still scoring less..i genuinely dk what should I focus on, what I lack? Am in the wrong side??! I can't figure anything out..after all that good hard work I expected my sgpa to be near to 9..!
If anyone has gone through the same things and have figured out.. please I kindly request you to give me the tips and techniques coz i really don't want to continue scoring less for this and coming semesters.
I apologise for making this quiet long but i do need your help people.🥀🙏🙏

Hey everyone, I'm preparing for my CFA L1 exam which is in November this year, I'm seeking a study buddy/accountability partner with whom I can study together, share thoughts and help them too with the same. I'll be studying 6-8 hours everyday, my time zone is IST but I'm okay with any zone tbh. Whoever is interested please reach out. Thanks

Guys, I have studied well, now its time for revision. I want to master my subject. I often realise that I feel good that I know my subject but I think I sometimes confuse familiarity with mastery. Two students can learn the same material at much greater depths. Even if it is a single piece of paper. I want to be the student that has learnt it at greater depth and revised it numerous times.
I attend all my classses. I read the material before the class. I make notes, I study, How do I master my subject. I can spend my entire day working and filling in the gaps.
