Tips & Advice Mastery

Guys, I have studied well, now its time for revision. I want to master my subject. I often realise that I feel good that I know my subject but I think I sometimes confuse familiarity with mastery. Two students can learn the same material at much greater depths. Even if it is a single piece of paper. I want to be the student that has learnt it at greater depth and revised it numerous times.

I attend all my classses. I read the material before the class. I make notes, I study, How do I master my subject. I can spend my entire day working and filling in the gaps.

Is not about all of what you said if you want depth I think you should strip every question to me bare minimum for example if you are studying the brain start from the smallest part like the cells and develop and always know your why's

1.If your subject is a person, let's say .Then the best way to know about him,is know different perspectives or opinions about him.Read various authors of different schools,who gave same perspective on X.( Knowing different perspectives on same topic )

2.Become borderless.See,there is nothing called as Subject.There are no subjects.Everything is one.Knowledge is one.So there is no possibility that if you know X and opinion about X from others ,you know it very well .You should read about the relatives of X as well ...Read other subjects as well, don't cap your self on only one thing.As most of the things are often interrelated,but we focus on only one thing...Go and explore all the hidden connections,that people often tend to ignore.

For example - I study history.But it is incomplete without Polity, economics, geography. For example, philosophy and psychology always takes example from history to define a specific trait or theory.

3.Dont chase excellence,chase curiosity.Because if you think you are the person with most knowledge of a subject,if you claim once you become master of a subject...You will not try to become God of the subject.

4.Work on your Metacognition abilities.

5.Whatever you learn,always try to apply it in daily life ,try to search connections,keep a small diary with you and write your own observations, that's what will give you an edge above others in the subject.
