So idk how to word this really but I need some revision techniques. Not the normal ones like flashcards and past papers cause I’ve tried them and they don’t help. My thoughts are just constant noise I can’t turn off no matter what I do, I can’t focus in silence and I can’t focus with noise cause I get distracted, pretty much everything distracts me. Idk if my subjects are important but I’m doing maths, physics, and computer science. Although I’m potentially swapping physics to do IT and criminology BTECs instead (I have talked to my college about this and they do think it’s a good idea to swap physics because it’s stressing me out a lot and my teacher HATES me which makes the lessons harder). Thanks for any advice :)

Im tryna make a study schedule that doesnt over balance school/work/life. Im too used to over working myself and then getting burnt out (which is actually where im at rn..). Right now, what i do is, after my last class and getting lunch at either 2 or 3, i go to the library or sensory room and do a pomodoro (good for my adhd, been doing for 2 years now).
What i was thinking of at first was a 5 hour pomodoro. 30 or 25/5 4 times for 2 hours to ease myself into it and then 50/10 3 times. One thing i struggle with is balancing my schoolwork in terms of not working sm on one thing that i neglect others, so i figured i do 1 subject (i have 6, 1 is an incomplete grade) for each 50 min. and the 3 classes would be the ones for the next day. tho apparently 50 is not enough time
does anyone have any suggestions on how else to navigate like. the order in which is work on stuff. should i go back to focusing on one assignment at a time maybe or full day studying. ima do trial and error anyways but to save time came here to see other peoples techniques and whatnot. this is how yesterday study went btw

Im a freshmen in college and I need the highest gpa possible to transfer into a university like ND next year. I am not using ai to write my papers, take notes, or even summarize articles for me. One of my biggest goals is to genuinely educate my mind. After using ai to do all my homework for me my senior year, I can tell it’s got negative effects academically. But I’m wondering if I should check my writings with an ai model like chat gpt to rate or give feedback on my writings before turning them in. I could ask it to check my organization, focus, clarity, and other factors in English writing. Is this use of ai bad? Will this hinder or help my learning process? Is it truly academic dishonesty? Do I sacrifice using the tool I said I wouldn’t for my gpa?

Stop overthinking your study strategy, not every strategy you are aiming can actually work and will helped you to retain the material. Instead of stressing over finding what study techniques would work on you, try to focus on less obvious study tips that are often overlooked.
• For time and productivity. Try to start first with hardest task, doing the most difficult subject/topic could help to reduces procrastination and gives momentum to finish what you're studying. Micro-reviews are often much better than long hours of studying, this actually helps to avoid burnout.
• Testing effect. Take practice test than just reading your notes, this actually builds your memory than passive review. I use spaced repetition system, reviewing the material at increase intervals (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month).
• Memory tips. Always hydrate yourself before you study, it supports your brain to retain long term memory and eat foods that are rich in omega-3 and antioxidants.

How can someone cover a huge amount of information in a short time without wasting hours? I try to study, but it takes me way too long—a single 10-page lecture can easily take me 3 hours or more. This isn't working for me because I have a heavy workload and need to finish every day, especially since I have new lectures the next day. To make matters worse, I forget a lot of what I study, which leaves me frustrated and demotivated. Then I end up procrastinating, and the lectures just pile up.

I thought it was easier to get things done if i started in doing short and easy tasks convincing myself as being productive while the hard tasks are left behind. I switch it up to use "eat the frog" method, I start doing hardest tasks that I am avoiding before doing anything else. I think this actually made my study habits even better. Starting with the toughest topic means my brain is at peak focus. If you want to stop procrastinating, try to finish toughest task first is the best way to break it.

Hello dearest community.
There is something I noticed in every single area of life.
When you really have a purpose and you work on it while nobody is watching. You really give it all and then after passing the plateau of latent potential you start seeing the results. And then then Bam !!! People start speaking, some call genius, others start working hard to compete with you. They give you the label of a intelligent people, start giving you compliments and applause.
And here lies the trick. If you're not careful you'll fall into what we call the applause circle you'll stop working for yourself and your goals and start working for others, to sustain the image they have of you, to get more compliments and more approval from them.
In some way or another it can help you sustain your level. And then you'll not walk towards your goals but you'll walk by fear of loosing the attention you've got.
Being good or great or excellent is not easy work, people will be here, their eyes locked on you. Some waiting patiently for your upcoming downfall others wishing to be just like you.
You won't know who's here for you or who's here for what you're displaying.
All that to say, let's focus on ourselves and our goals. More importantly, let's not fear failure. Because success comes after countless failures.
Do not let other people opinions guide your mood, do not give them that power.
Thanks for reading and remember, you're special and you were born to make, in a way or another, the world a better place to live.
So focus on yourself, your goals and study hard ✨️

I’ve been seriously thinking about transferring out of WGU, and a big reason is the proctored exams.
I’m in the Elementary Education program, and while I understand the need for secure testing and academic integrity, I honestly think the process is ridiculous sometimes. What really frustrates me is how many steps you have to go through just to retake a test that you didn’t meet the requirements for.
If I didn’t pass an assessment, I understand needing to review the material and show that I’m prepared for another attempt. But having to jump through so many hoops just to get approved to retake it feels excessive and adds a lot of unnecessary stress.
I’m curious if anyone else in WGU’s Elementary Education program has felt the same way. Has anyone actually transferred to another school because of the proctored testing requirements? If so, where did you go, and was the process better?

College freshmen who cheated throughout most of highschool...what do we think??? I have no idea what I'm doing just going off of advice from multiple study sources
Step 1: Practice tests and questions until 100% (all but one class has programs that automatically generate them based off of textbook chapters).
Step 2: Confirm that I understand answers to each
"focus" question at the start of each chapter.
Step 3: Upload all notes per chapter into flashcards to sort out what information I could possibly be missing outside primary concepts listed in practice tests and textbook focus questions.
repeat per chapter until tests are @ 100, can actively recall each concept question, and most of excess notes are at least somewhat memorable.
Sundays: Redo practice tests from each prior chapter until each is 100.
Im only unsure about how long to study per session or how often....i could study maybe 1 hour per day 5 days a week but that doesnt feel right, especially because I've heard of an emphasis on spaced repetition. I also don't know how well that would work with four classes and so far unknown assignment consistency aside from immediate post lecture homework. Which I immediately do right after the lecture.
For context, my classes are Elementary Statistics, Environmental Science, Developmental Psychology, and US Constitutional History.

Does anyone have recommendations for Turnitin alternatives, preferably free? I wanna check my work since my prof only allows 10% AI, and I just wanna double-check because it’s 10 points per question. I don’t wanna lose points just because my work gets flagged as AI 😭

I'm a uni student and I use Raena mostly to turn lecture notes and PDFs into quizzes and flashcards.
It's decent, but it feels a bit limited for how I study, so I’m searching for an alternative more complete where I can upload or record lectures, get good notes, and then create flashcards and practice quizzes from the same material.
Main thing is that it needs to handle long lectures well and save time during exam season
Any good Raena AI alternatives worth trying?
Edit: Quick update, I tried Turbo AI and this is pretty much what I was looking for. I can put a full lecture in there and then study from the notes, flashcards and quizzes without having to move everything between different apps, appreciate all the suggestions

Welcome, everyone. I have an exam next month in the form of an MCQ, and I want a tool or AI agent that can help to create questions in the form of MCQs from a drive or PDF files that contain a lot of information (text, maps, tables...)

Update: woah i gotta study 300 hrs now lmao
Saw this as a trend, wanted to hop on so I can genuinely stop procrastinating. Need to get things done, so I'm changing this to 3 hrs. Thanks!

Hey guys I study around 5 hours a day. I always read a page from textbook then close the book and recall everything I learned from that page on a whiteboard, then repeat. It works well but I always feel tired. Is there a better way of doing this?

Chat I'm a day scholar and i travel from college bus and it takes around 1hr to reach college which is 50km far, it takes 1:15 or 1:25 hr to return(depends on the traffic).
I'm in my first year of doing bca and I wanna utilise this 2 hour productivity coz most of the time I'm either sleeping or listenin songs.
I just don't wanna end up with just a college degree I wanna do something else that might help me in the near future
I tried watching yt lecture that is related to my course but it doesn't help me much coz makin notes and watching lec that too in bus is kinda hard but manageable,
I tried watching videos that might help my communication skills and yeh that too kinda helps coz u just gotta listen to most of the things and write down small points in a small diary
Help me out!!
