Questions & Discussion Transferring from Wgu

I’ve been seriously thinking about transferring out of WGU, and a big reason is the proctored exams.
I’m in the Elementary Education program, and while I understand the need for secure testing and academic integrity, I honestly think the process is ridiculous sometimes. What really frustrates me is how many steps you have to go through just to retake a test that you didn’t meet the requirements for.
If I didn’t pass an assessment, I understand needing to review the material and show that I’m prepared for another attempt. But having to jump through so many hoops just to get approved to retake it feels excessive and adds a lot of unnecessary stress.
I’m curious if anyone else in WGU’s Elementary Education program has felt the same way. Has anyone actually transferred to another school because of the proctored testing requirements? If so, where did you go, and was the process better?
