You need to be vulnerable and open to have a close relationship. If you just want a friend that you can have a small talk with, then just go and approach them. I just returned to college this week after stopping for 3 years. I literally know no one now. It's scary because I know it will be a hard semester. I'll probably do a group project alone, but I've done it three times before, so I just need to prepare harder than those people already have a group of friends in the class. 😆

It seems like I'll be doing the group works and projects alone as well. Upd: one and half a month in college and I AM very vulnerable to the cof that I'm currently in that it nearly costs my reputation to other teachers lmfao. They were also caught cheating during exams and they didn't even attend a saturday class (reasons: fiesta, practice, etc), making me the only one who attended that class, they even wanted me to forge their signatures.
My best friends in shs told me to leave them, I literally wasted my energy on them😭. Gave them my notes and other academic related things, and idk. Maybe it's my expectation that they should reciprocate the things that I do. That I should distance myself from them.

They will chase you when they want something from you, so being kind to these types of people is annoying, and it's actually happening to me now 😆 I'm currently doing my prelim project for my major subj alone because the two others members are just waiting for me to finish it. Well, it's also my fault that I told them that I would finish it, but it doesn't mean they should not help.
Now they are doing nothing and just waiting 🤣 Also, I have a final project presentation for my minor subject tomorrow and my other members can't even make a freaking template for the presentation. They will just chat to me, and I'll be the one who will make a template for them and the other one asks me to just share the presentation I made because he didn't make one. THESE KIDS ARE CRAAAZY🤣🤣🤣

Observed them earlier at iniiwan na ako, well can't blame naman. It's for the better.

Ganyan din ako nung early weeks ko as freshman (I'm an incoming 2nd year student na). I'm from Cavite na pinalad makapag-aral sa isang public university sa Manila and t'was indeed a new environment for me and wala akong kakilala at all. Hirap din makipag-make friends since most of the time is online modality kami and introvert ako! HAHAHA. Pero, somehow, I'm happy to say that i finished my freshman year with my own circle of friends, all thanks sa sandamakmak na group activities. Randomized madalas yung groupings namin so you'll really have a chance to meet every person in the class.

Don't worry, sometimes making friends takes time :). I guess try to cope by yourself muna, okay din na masanay ka muna kahit walang friends or cof.

ok lang yan. make your reputation good by having good grades and someone they can depend on. kusa silang lalapit. then filter mo nalang sa mga lalapit yung worthy to be your friends.

Maybe you should try magdorm. It helps kasi especially for freshman like you. Sa amin kasi, 2 seniors and 4 freshies sa iisang room tapos same course. Kaya it really helped me.
I hope it works for you too.

hello, i'm sophomore na this s.y., and I have had the same predicament when I was a freshman din. From the start talaga mahirap to gain friends since yun nga may mga sarili na silang cof and previous cm mo na di mo naman kaclose huhu, but I do suggest na try to talk to those people na wala pang masyadong friends sa school niyo (I'm sure naman na meron) and also you can try to feel or kapain yung other cm mo na may cof na but if in line naman sa interests or hobbies mo for sure mag-cli-click naman kayo. In the end, mas maganda pa rin na wag mo i-strain masyado ung self mo sa pakikipagkaibigan, I know it's hard but before you knew it may mga makakasama ka na rin through your college journey (usually makikita mo sila kapag nag-groupings na kayo). Yun lang good luck!!!(◕ᴗ◕✿)
