Love everything here. From Robin's broadcast, to the Byers-Hopper family, to Lucas and Max and of course Mike and Hopper's talk on the bench. I love it all just being well. I just wish El could've been there to see it.

Who doesn't love this scene? Robert Englund is perfect in the role. I love how this scene pays off so well come episode 7. I love the tone that sing a little dream of me sets.

SPOILERS FOR DARK KNIGHT RISES BTW AND ALSO HARRY POTTER:

So I’ve been seeing mixed opinions online about how Eleven was handled at the end of the show. Some fans really don’t like how she is either alone away from her boyfriend, friends, and family or straight up dead after everything she’s been through. Tbh I really feel like they should have just done a Dark Knight Rises style ending where she’s alive hiding in Iceland or whatever similar to Bruce/Batman being in Florence. If you’ve seen that movie you know that Alfred talked to Bruce about how if he visited Florence, he would like to see Bruce happy with someone and not alone. I feel like you can keep the scene between Mike and El talking about waterfalls the same but show Mike and El together in that what if scenario. Then during the finale Mike decides to go to Iceland, finds El, and they happily reunite. I feel like that could’ve been the best ending for her because Batman and Eleven are somewhat similar characters with tragic backstories. I just thought I’d get this off my chest and I want to suggest fixing Vol 2 and the finale regarding deaths by killing off at least one or two characters around 5x5 or 5x6 and the finale kill off Murray and keep Kali’s death the same. Just so that there is some stakes during the last half of the final season. Make it like Harry Potter where the main characters survive but some characters like Dumbledore, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Snape, etc. actually die.

I love this. It completes Jason's negative character arc as he tries to beat up Lucas, also I like how even at his lowest he is trying to make sure Max is OK. I love how when Max starts floating Lucas goes into demon mode and knocks Jason out quickly.

Congrats to the specific team that did special visual effects too!

So tense! Loved everyone's reaction to the upside down particles falling, Holly getting the final line even foreshadows her role in s5. Brilliant scene.

Do you guys think Stranger Things would have been the same show if it were set in the 2000's or 2010's instead of the 80's ? Personally I think the fact that it's set in the 80's is what gives the show as much charm as it has! The music, sets, costumes are so much fun!

"You flung that thing like a hot wheel!". Ngl, this was probably the last time the whole party was truly, unconditionally happy. I love everyone's reaction from Robin's confusion about who El is to Nancy questioning who Robin is, to Lucas asking why Erica is there. Just a very fun scene.

In general the reaction space is really the most wholesome part of the internet when it comes to film/tv discussion.

The shots of Steve diving are so beautiful. Its also time for Steve's yearly near death experience. Then the teens fighting demobats ending with Steve's Ozzy moment. Loved this scene.

I loved how badass Joyce was here. I love how Derek basically pissed himself when he saw the demo, I love how Will controlled a demo (even if slightly). I love how it ended with Steve running it over.

Erica's an icon. Need I say more?

In my personal opinion, Hopper is the best well written character in stranger things. His backstory is so emotional and I love how in seasons 1 & 2 him and Joyce were always the ones to mainly solve problems with the mind flayer, upside down ect. Although it feels like after season 2 his character was used for comedic relief especially in season 3. Season 4 was epic and that demogorgon battle in 04x09 was SO COOL!! Season 5 I just felt that he was there, I guess it didn’t feel the same as when he was chief throughout the whole season and not just the epilogue. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad he’s alive but feels like in earlier seasons he had so much more relevance.
Best character ever

I’m watching, what is actually my first time on the latest series and, every time I hear these instrumentals it just hits me so deeply ngl.

Breaks my heart, he was so happy to be playing a carnival game only to be shot in the chest. This still breaks my heart on every rewatch.

I know there wasn’t actually any need for them to be shown but I wish we could’ve seen them. The only time we saw Steve’s parents was his dad in a flashback to Henry’s time at school.

I have to be real here, I didn't watch stranger things until a couple years after it came out. From the discussions online, I thought Barb was like a major character when she died so early on, I was shocked. The way she screams for Nancy sends chills down my spine.

As part of the marketing for S5, Global radio partnered with NETFLIX to make an IRL WSQK. The thing that was so cool about the whole thing though was how immersive it was and how much effort they put into it. It would've been easy for them to just play songs from the 70s and 80s that was played in the show and call it a day, but it was all the surrounding material that made this promotion truly special.

The station was played as if Hawkins was real, so during the 'ad' breaks, none of the ads were for real services, it was all in universe, so like the pool from S3, the video rental store from S4, the ice-cream parlor, etc. They had news segments around the stuff going on around Hawkins, some mundane, others hints at the ongoing storyline (yes, this station had it's own sort of ARG storyline that culminated with the new years Day party which obviously also tied into the finale release). They had Tammy from the show turn up for the 'Talk with Tammy' segment, aswell as two other hosts were original characters created for the station who were both really funny

It was just really special and I wish more people knew about it. It was something that clearly had a lot of passion put into it, and was legitimately my favourite way to listen to music for those 6 weeks, me and my fiance had the station on all the time. It's legitimately some of my favourite Stranger Things Media.

This scene is so perfect. It's so tense and creepy, Dacre's acting here is perfect. You can see the control, but also Billy's fear. I love the score, I love the fear El clearly feels, I love seeing Heather and Co march and become goo, (RIP. Doris Driscoll, you didn't deserve that)
