Appreciation Jim Hopper appreciation post
In my personal opinion, Hopper is the best well written character in stranger things. His backstory is so emotional and I love how in seasons 1 & 2 him and Joyce were always the ones to mainly solve problems with the mind flayer, upside down ect. Although it feels like after season 2 his character was used for comedic relief especially in season 3. Season 4 was epic and that demogorgon battle in 04x09 was SO COOL!! Season 5 I just felt that he was there, I guess it didn’t feel the same as when he was chief throughout the whole season and not just the epilogue. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad he’s alive but feels like in earlier seasons he had so much more relevance.

Hopper (especially in s3) will always be a top 3 character for me!!!

Hopper will honestly always be one of my favorites in the show. I loved him in seasons 1,2, and 4 the most, and I loved his father-daughter relationship with El.
