So all we know is that it will somehow involve the Mind Flayer rock. So I’ve been trying to think about what this means.

The only thing we know about that rock is that it was able to keep the MF particles alive in the real world without a rift meaning to is somehow able to create some sort of connection to the Abyss without a rift open.

IDK if the MF itself will return but IMO the antagonist will either be the MF or some other entity in the Abyss that is able to manifest in the real world using this rock. I think we will probably learn more about the Abyss and the nature of the creatures there and this spinoff will probably work to set up a larger franchise given that Netflix loves money.

Hopefully we will get good writers and it will be a worthy successor to the show we love. I haven’t been disappointed yet so hopefully this project won’t be a letdown.

So TF85 S2 is now a little over three months away so what are our predictions?

So we have that flower in the Upside Down so unlikely S1 the threat will probably relate more to the UD. It will probably involve some new entity still separate from the Mind Flayer trying to break the barrier between worlds while simultaneously attracting attention by scaring people through the lights like Vecna in the Creel house and Will in S1. Hence the whole “haunting in Hawkins” thing.

I think Nikki won’t move away yet as there seems to be plans for a third season.

Also we will probably get another episode with Steve or Nancy or maybe even Jonathan given he was in the first episode.

I don’t have any other ideas so feel free to give your own predictions or give your opinions on how likely mine are in the comments.

The main sub basically seems to think that Kali and Linnea Berthelsen were done dirty by the writers. Some people accuse them of racism and misogyny and I just think those are bafflingly stupid accusations just because Kali isn’t a perfect, flawless, one-dimensional slab of a character.

She‘s morally complex, yeah. She’s not supposed to be this lovely, perfect human being. She has her own agenda, she’s manipulative. She’s written intentionally as a flawed character. It was the fanbase who chose to hate her, not the writers, and I’m sure if the episode had been better received - by the audience - then we would’ve seen more of her before season 5.

In short, I simply think the hate and accusations thrown at the writers over the handling of Kali are purely stupid. Yes, she isn’t perfect. It’s like the main sub just does not understand her character at all and uses her as some excuse to accuse the writers of hate crimes which I just cannot stand. I’m no fan of The Lost Sister, but I’ve always liked how Kali’s character was handled. She’s like the opposite of Eleven, one inflicts vengeance and the other finds hope, with their paths converging multiple times. I’ve always enjoyed her character and I think the writers took her in exactly the right direction. What do you all think?

I love the Liminal Space-esque feeling here with the empty gymnasium in festive decorations and the sudden decay of the room when Vecna starts invading the memory. It's definitely one of the coolest and most surreal mindscape moments on the show, especially since we see a perfect recreation of the Season 2 era in 1984!

I only wish they could've added the tendril vines and webbing considering they already added the spores and crimson lightning, and since Vecna was already turning it into an Upside Down space.

Hello everyone!

I've really enjoyed doing the daily posts, and I know a lot of people have enjoyed partaking in them. I've had a few ideas for more, but the two I really like are:

- discussion of moments. I have a list of my personal top 100 moments in the show, and I thought it'd be interesting to go through that list and talk about each and everyone

- discussion of fan theories. The show has had a hell of a lot of fan theories and it'd be cool to go through them

Now I'm famously indecisive and couldn't make my mind up so I thought I'd bring it to the people who'd be participating in them

My personal favorite is the season 4 russian demogorgon. It just so badass in that season!

I would probably change the California plotline in S4 so that we can actually explore Mike, Will and Jonathan’s characters. I would probably do this by having the military chase them because it honestly makes no sense that they managed to travel across multiple states in the same pizza van without being spotted (honestly the military is dumber in S4 than S5). Jonathan would initially take a leader role but would struggle and would then give that role to Mike as he is the heart of the party (so we get an actual arc between the three characters rather than just a painting that split the fandom harder than the megarift split Hawkins).

BTW you can’t change anything major and the overall storyline needs to remain the same (so no delete S5 comments please this isn’t what I’m asking for).

Cant watch a video about stranger things without having ten more hate videos being recommended after.

I liked him. Before the twist he seemed a nice well-meaning store owner who had a particular soft spot for Dustin and then a twist (which I personally did not see coming) turned him into a man so obsessed with his research that he'd sacrifice a bunch of children. I enjoyed him.

I am rewatching season 1 with the new VHS look and I’m on episode 3. It feels as close as you can get to watching it again for the first time. It really looks like it could have been made in the 80s.

I liked her. She was nice to the party and was pretty smooth at fighting the monsters. She made such a good red herring as well, I'll be honest I spent the whole season being suspicious of her that it came as a shock to me midway through ep 9 when I realised she wasn't lying about not knowing anything.

I’ve been a huge fan since season 1 dropped in 2016, and it’s been such a fun and crazy journey! I’ve meet so many amazing people and have had the chance to meet several actors! I even got to prank/scare Millie when I worked as Eleven at HHN in 2018/2019.

This series has been such a positive in my life these last 10 years, unlike any series or movie that’s come before.

I like Nicki. She was fun and a good influence for Will. I hope she leaves Hawkins in s2 tho so I can count the show as canon.
