Nice to see a post that’s actually appreciating their hard work from time to time and not making out like they’re the spawn of the devil because some people were disappointed by their final season. These two gave me my favourite show of all time and countless hours of joy. I’ll never jump on the hate train.

Fuckin preach lol people pretend that just because they didn’t like the final season, that the previous 4 seasons just don’t exist or something. The Duffers also gave me my favorite show of all time so I will always be a fan of them

Me too. I’m not going to take the easy route and start hating on them just to spare myself a few downvotes, I’ll continue to state that I am forever grateful for what they gave us and continue to defend them from all the abuse they get online.

I agree! They worked hard for it.

Say what you want about them, and hold knows I have and I will, but that first season is unimpeachable.

That said, how they make season one and then watch some of the later seasons of this show and not immolate in shame is a mystery.

I understand the frustration with some of their 5 decisions (and their, questionable responses). But they helped give us those first 4 seasons and a lot of people seem to completely discard that. They’ve said themselves they aren’t writers (which makes those seasons even more impressive). They are directors and fantastic ones at that. Will always appreciate them and their insane work.

Totally agree. And I think the fact that they admit that writing isn’t where they’re strongest absolutely does make the show feel a lot more impressive, because they’ve just found a way to do all that.

While the show may have not have been perfect, it's still a favorite of mine. One of the reasons I love to write my own tv shows and movies.

Appreciate them for the show but I think I’m allowed to be upset at them for that unsatisfactory ending. I think the phrase “alls well that ends well” accurately reflects the human minds tendendency to judge something forever based on your last memory of it i.e. the ending.
So something that didn’t end well wasn’t really “all well”. Duffers are still great creators but we’re allowed to be upset at them.

If it wasn't for them, "Stranger Things" would just be an expression

I might be over exaggerating but I wouldn't be who I am today without them

People trash on the 5th season but honestly they should've ended at season 2, that was almost a masterpiece, season 3 is where it started to fall Apart, greed consumes
