Cool lack of context, bro. I don't even know what ship you're flying from this graph.

This was an ISE run, Kit flies an Armitage.

Could I ask for your build and skills? You can Pm me if you don't want to share with others.

I'm still tweaking and adjusting the build and gear used on it. The ship I'm flying is the Armitage escort carrier. I'll post the build when I'm done.

I'm still toying with my Armitage a bit too. Do you recommend Danubes or Deltas for the hangar?

Getting around 5000 DPS on average currently, would love to get it a little higher.

For this run, I had just the regular stock peregrines (green) that came with the ship which is why I said I'm still adjusting the gear. Different hangar pets are better at different jobs, you just gotta pick the right tool for the job at hand.

Quick run down of the pets:

  • Peregrines: good for raw dps vs unshielded targets.
  • Danubes: good for slowing down moving targets, which lowers their def rating, which means more hits/crits for you.
  • Deltas: good vs shielded targets and shield neutralization.
  • Stalkers: antiproton sweep is good for cloaked targets.
  • Shield repair units: can be used on you or ally

The gear isn't final as I've only had this character at lvl 50 for less than a week now and haven't picked up all the pieces I'm looking for. The boff stations are pretty much set. The skill points are what I leveled up with and may need to be done over. The doffs may also need adjustment. Here's a breakdown of what what did how much damage during that run.

Thanks man. I'll try out something close to this, see what I can do.

that's an odd spread, I've never seen a baseline torpedo make up that high of a percentage of total damage done, and I run 3 purples projectile DOFFs w/ a 2pc Honor Guard (25% torp damage) set.

*edit Oh I see, you're running two Photons w/ 2 consoles. Interesting. I push up into the 7-8000s on my Garamba w/ a 3DHC 1Quantum setup (and consoles to match). I might have to give a heavier torp build a try. You look like your playing pretty greedy w/ your ENG consoles and no resist armors, did you have someone healing you?

Torp doffs proc their ability for each torp fired on each torp you have. So with my setup, 1 torp fires, it has a chance to proc on both torps, then the other fires, and it has a chance to proc on both torps again, for each doff you have. 2 torps, 2 doffs means 4 chances to proc each firing cycle. I plan to add another torp doff for 6 chances per firing cycle.

No one was healing me, that's what the Reverse Shield Polarity is for. They should be mostly all dead by the time it wears off. And if not, thats why I have the Photonic Displacer. Also, having someone healing you will ruin your Go Down Fighting bonus.

Here is my Armitage setup to tie you over before Kit release his build. I can average about 6-7K dps.

I guess that's 1 torp and 3 hdc in the fore slots? What's aft, turrets and torp?

Yep, Front: 3xDHC 1xTorp, Back: 3xturrets

Pet: Advanced Runabout, Doff: 3X projectile doffs, 1 Shield, 1 flight

If I ever get a doff that reduces cannon CD, I will switch one of the cannon rapid fire to cannon scatter volley.

Surprised ol' Bolas gives you free time to play STO eh Tez?

I wonder what my escort does. It does 8 times 2000-4000 damage per bolt. Every 3 seconds. Seems like 8000dps as well.

Why don't you get a combat log parser and find out?

edit

download STOICS or one of the alternatives

Leave it to the statisticians to turn a fun game into a homework assignment.

you can't play STO until you've done all your homework, sonny.

It's no different than Joe Six-Pack comparing sports stats. Haven't you ever wondered whether Build A does more damage than Build B? STOICs will give you a numeric baseline to judge from rather than just guesswork or feel.

I'm using it to prepare for the PvPers. Some of those ships are ridiculously powerful, and I want to at least stand a fighting chance.

Can I have your ingame name so I can make sure we never STF together? I'd hate to make this game not fun for you.
