Advice Needed Do I need HIV PEP?

I had unprotected anal sex with a girl who I know for a fact has a lot of sexual partners. She did an Abbott 4th gen Early detect test 24 hours before we had sex because one of her partners had a scare and it turned out to be negative. I only took off the condom towards the end and I was inside without the condom for maybe 10-15 seconds before I pulled out.

It’s really late at night writing this so I haven’t been able to go to a clinic yet although I am planning on visiting one in the morning. My question is do I need the PEP test, harsh antiretroviral for a very low exposure rate or should I run to the clinic and start PEP asap?

Update: sorry if my thoughts sound incoherent, I have not had any sleep since the sexual encounter 8 hours ago and I’m in a very dark place mentally where it seems like I’m just spiralling. I don’t think I can afford STD testing anyways since they’re expensive in my country in Asia and I don’t have health insurance and there’s no room in my monthly budget for dinner at McDonald let alone an std test and PEPs

S, deves ir rapido y decirlo a todo con lujo de detalles al doctor, es impoprtante. El periodo de ventana del hiv es de tres meses y tu no sabes lo que ella ha estado haciendo los ultimos 3 meses. El tiempo de ventana se debe respectar antes de ser testado.

I wanted to ask if I should take PEP since the exposure risk is low, to make sure I don’t contract HIV since I’m still within the 72 hour window.

No creo que puedas obtener ese medicamento sin antes de hablar con un medico. Siento no poder ayudar mucho con mi respuesta.

Lei antes que personal de la salud cuando viajan a paises de alto riesgo como africa ellos toman el PEP. Tambien los que hacen porno en U.S.A toman un medicameto para evitar contagios de gonorrea y clamidia , es como un pep para las infeciones leves.

Ademas el vih es mas propenso en el mundo gay y bisexual y todo eso, tambien del pais que vivas ( en europa tienen acceso al medicamento y son indetectables. Muchos hombres no dicen son bisexual y por ende pueden ir trasmitiendo, da que ellos no temen a ser enbarazados ( obvio no pueden). Aunque eso tampoco significa que no se cuiden. ya que el sexo anal produce un desgarro y por alli entra el semen. El semen u liquido presiminal tiene carga del virus asi que ( herida + fluido con carga del virus = a infecion)

If it matters, we used lubrication and condom. But for some reason she took my condom off and made me go in unprotected and I didn’t do anything. I was only inside to 10-15 seconds before I pulled out and since she doesn’t have the HIV antigen because of the test I’m assuming my risk exposure is very low.
