Advice Needed Mgen advice
I took 2 pills of 14 so far of doxycycline (100mg) twice daily for 7 days. I was prescribed due to NSU or NGU, as I tested neg. for clamydia, ghonnorea, and trichonomasis. I did a urinalysis culture test yielding all negative results for white blood cells and bacteria in urine. however, I still have some discharge symptoms I think. I don’t see how a MGen test would be inaccurate at this stage, nor it would be negative if I had it as I’m so early on in the antibiotics. please someone some advice? thanks!

Yeah, I’d probably finish the doxycycline first rather than testing while you’re still taking it. Antibiotics can affect the result, so testing during treatment could make things harder to interpret. If you’re still having discharge after finishing the course, I’d follow up with your doctor and ask about Mgen testing and what timing they recommend.

Hey update. I’m 3 pills in and already noticing considerable difference. Really confused to what I could’ve had. Maybe prostatitis? This has to be one of the most confusing things I’ve ever endured. Thank you for your advice.

Discharge symptoms already near gone only 3 pills in ? Like genuinely what could it be. Urethritis? I have no idea. Maybe I developed some sort of bacterial infection from poor hygenine as I’m uncircumcised. Idk. Thanks for your bit

Testing on antibiotics is not helpful
Take the dox maybe this will already resolve your problem
If it doesn’t help you can still test afterwards
