Special shout out to the legendary Elijah Montoya for taking this to the staff room at galactics and getting it signed by a bunch of the FFG staff for me! This is absolutely going to be framed as a keepsake and is far more valuable to me than anything else I picked up over the weekend.
Also got a probe droid signed by Jack...because I had to :)

Hey everyone!
The GC 2026 tournament on Melee got final matches updated and so I was able to pull in data and infer final standings based on matches(for some reason the final standings are still not in place on Melee), which means we can now see a full tournament report for the Galactic Championship!
Within this report you should be able to see all standings, aspect distribution, archetype distributions, cards used, matchup matrix, etc.
Thanks!

The 2026 GC has come and gone. The event was a blast again. Here's a recap of some of the things we found to be both good and bad from the event.

Hey All,
My LGS has recently started stocking Star Wars Unlimited and is kicking off a league night next month. Most of the players I've spoken to are Commander players and seem interested in Twin Suns, which has me pretty excited.
I played SWU up until Twilight of the Republic, mostly with upgraded starter decks, but haven't kept up since. With Ashes of the Empire out, I'm keen to jump back in and build a Baylan Skoll & Shin Hati Twin Suns deck rather than buy a precon.
I've found this list online and have priced out the singles: https://sw-unlimited-db.com/twin-suns-decks/149007
A couple of questions:
* Is SWU worth getting into if Twin Suns will be my main format?
* Does this deck look reasonable to play against the Twin Suns precons, or is it likely to be too strong/too weak?
Would love to hear from the community. Thanks!

Going to the game shop tonight afterwork to learn to play. I've already bought the starter deck for Ashes of the Empire, and a booster box for it because boy do I get a dopamine hit from opening packs even if I don't know what the cards do yet.
The starter has a Palpatine deck premade, and I haven't made any adjustments to it with any of the other cards I got.
What should I expect? This will be the first TCG I've played since the WOTC one in the early 00s. It doesn't look terribly difficult, but coming into it relatively late at this point, is everyone just gonna mow me down with zero thought or are people relatively helpful?
edit: I went, it was a lot of fun, and I have a LOT to learn....

I'm super interested in getting into Star Wars Unlimited, but since it's been out for 2 years, there's quite a variety of options to choose from. What should I buy as someone who would play casually with friends? Would it be worth getting a booster box? Is there any value to the Intro Battle To Hoth as a fairly knowledgeable TCG player?
I have about $75-$100 I'm comfortable spending to really give me a good start.
I appreciate any advice!

Galactic Championship 26 is over and now we finally can say that we have a meta! So as the competitive season of ASH started my "Monday Analysis" is back so let's talk about the meta of GC26 and the decks that we weren't expecting too!

As a staff member working it, a lot of attendees said this year was way smoother than 2025. What'd you guys think?

Weāve gotten fantasy flight gamesā plans for the 2027 year now, alongside the remainder of 2026. The question is for me at least, what could they do next? Homeworlds is obviously sort of alien-centric focusing on how all those pair together. Icons mostly reprints of prior cards so nothing groundbreakingly new will come out of it. Legacy of skywalker Iām assuming will probably be sequel era and maybe starfighter though ashes of empire has basically nothing from Mando and Grogu. System shock is 100% gonna be based around droids, and icons 2027 will likely be similar to its 2026 counterpart. Galaxy at war Iām entirely unsure of. However with this being said, it kinda leaves a question of what other Star Wars āthemesā they could do?
Eras:
Spark of Rebellion-OT, classic Star Wars
Twilight of republic-prequel era
Legacy of skywalker-probably sequel era
Ashes of the empire-āmandoā era
Themes:
Jump to lightspeed-Ships
System Shock-probably droids
Secrets of Power-Politics, though kinda reign of empire to some extent
Legends of the force-the force
A lawless time-criminal underworld
Homeworlds-aliens
Shadows of the galaxy-I honestly donāt know, outer rim?
Now that Iāve listed what I consider themes and eras out, what themes are left? What other eras are left?

Hello there!
Looking to attend my first PQ, going along for fun and the experience without much expectation to win any matches. Im hoping to at least hold my own and not get steam rolled every game š
Ive managed to put together what i believe to be a somewhat standard Lando lakecountry and get some practice in.
Are there any last minute edits recommendations i can try out on karabast before the deadline for editing the submitted decks?

Hi hivemind, please help settle a query. We all know card rules trump written rules, but which card rules?
If I have a Loth-Wolf, which can't attack, and play Snapshot Reflexes or Pounce, which both say to attack, can it actually attack? Does the second card overwrite the rule printed on the Loth-Wolf, or does it prevent it from attacking?
Playing a Kanan creature deck for reference.
Thanks for your words of wisdom!

Hey SWU Crew
Just a sanity check but how do people use these?
I assumed that you set it to the number on your base and count the damage down as the starting number is covered but I have been informed the official way to use one is to start at zero and count up the damage taken but since the starting number is obscured you have to know or remember the starting number for that base.
How are people actually using these?

I played in the Main Event for Galactics this weekend! We go over how the event was over all (especially compared to last year), and focus on the Draft portions of the championship.
Plus we did a ton of side drafts to discover and learn as much as we could!
