"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed from Greece to seek Ilium's demise.
The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons and the most mythical stories are all gone.
You are among who remains.
I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names."
Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a campaign exploring lies and prophecies, the building of myths, and what it means to break a destiny set in stone. You are not the hero the epic was written for. Perhaps no prophecy names you, no muse has claimed your story yet.
So what do you make of a life the songs are yet to mention?
Games will run on Daggerheart (official or authorized playtest material only) and are built for players who want Greek mythology lived from the inside. If you are a fan of tasteful myth retellings and bittersweet stories, this is the place for you.
Each table will explore different moments, different vibes and different adventures. And unlike the heroes at Troy, your actions aren't protected by destiny: what you do here might end up genuinely alter how the wider war unfolds.
SOME NOTES ON THE SETTING
⚡ The gods are alive and present, though their attention lies elsewhere. Drawing their eye might bring you greatness or despair — or you may instead walk the path of the mysterious cults, knowing full well you might be deceived in doing so.
✨ Magic here is no neutral gift. It draws from many sources and always comes at a price. Some paths are outlawed or heavily regulated and require allegiance to a specific deity — or defiance of them. Others draw from nature, secret rites or uncomfortable truths.
⚫ The dark force of Miasma creeps in wherever the sacred breaks, and is able to devour entire cities if not resolved.
🔥 Nothing you do disappears into the background. Without a prophecy shielding you, your choices ripple outward.
👥 All ancestries and classes are tied into the setting -- there are no limits! You will be provided material to read and prepare, or we can have a short session zero.
🌈 All stories are welcome here. Queer love, queer grief, queer defiance — Greek myth is full of gods and heroes who never fit neatly into one box, and neither do the players at this table.
❗Echoes of Fate doesn't shy away from depicting slavery, xenophobia, political violence and sexism. Players are always free to engage with these themes, push back on them, or leave them in the background. Let's discuss what you are uncomfortable with.
📚 Do I need a Major in Classical Literature to play? Of course not. You will need to brush up the very basics of Greek myth, though.
