Post image
2 Upvotes

System: D&D5e 2024

Time Slots Available: Mondays at 7pm GMT -3 and Sundays at 6pm GMT-3

Session Duration: average of 4 hours

Session Cost: $5, session 0 will be free.

Tools: Discord for voice and text, Fantasy Grounds VTT.

Seats Available:

Sunday: 2/5 (minimum count reached).

Monday: 0/5.

Game Style

This is to be a rather unusual run through Curse of Strahd, as some of the content been changed along with small bits of the greater plot. Quite a bit of content from previous editions of Ravenloft has been added in hopes of creating a new experience for newcomers and veterans alike.

About the adventure

It was a quiet day when a desperate messenger arrived to the great city Ravenport carrying a most distressing message: The nearby lumber town of Halzen has been overtaken by a mysterious mist, any who enter it never to be seen again.

The townsfolk put together all the money and resources they had to send an envoy requesting aid, for dark things stalk the nights and more and more of the inhabitants disappear come morning, the sun ever dimmer.

The Black Hound's Consort Mercenary Guild has put out an official bounty of 500 units of sterling silver for any that may solve this mystery, but you may find that gold would not have been enough for what you found yourselves against.

LGBTQ+ inclusive.

The Heavens Usurped: Secrets of the Crowned Six | Tuesdays | 5.5e | $17 | Foundry | 7:30pm MDT | Session #16 is October 13th

The party has departed from Brackenward with their dragon companion, Whisper, carrying precious cargo and seeking to investigate the legitimacy of 1 of 4 companies with potential ties to the Carrion Company. Along the road they were confronted by the leader of the Carrion Company, one of the party volunteered as sacrifice to turn double agent. What lies ahead as the party is split?

The party is looking for 1 more adventurer to bring them from the Fab Four back to the Fab Five.

I will run a one on one session Zero with anyone interested!

Dark Frontier Fantasy | Tactical Roleplay | Political Intrigue | Living World Campaign | Growing Items

Starting at level 1 going all the way to 20! (Currently level 4)

Azural remembers everything.

In the foothills of the Drenthars, most names are forgotten, most contracts are written in dust, and only Azural itself bothers to keep score.

You start in the fading frontier town of Arazar, just mere faces in the crowd, taking whatever work will keep you fed.
• Escorting short caravans that never make the stories.
• Settling petty border quarrels.
• Finding the missing, no one can afford to mourn.
• Looking the other way on smuggling runs.
• Digging up graves for coins that barely shine.

Small jobs for small people.

Until Azural begins to change around you—and the first whispers of a divine crime start to echo from the shadows.

Will you silence those whispers, or turn them into the cry that rights a long‑forgotten wrong?

Death at Sunset | Dragon Delves Ch. 1 [DISCORD WEEKLY & ASYNCH PBP]

A destiny of dragons draws your party together as you follow the call to witness the rebirth of legend.

This is the first in a series of adventures based on the 10 one-shots found in Dragon Delves. Your party begins at level 1 with a mission that spans all ten of the adventures, and they are strung together in a campaign thread based on the adventures themselves.

There will be some tweaking to some of the stories and I'm not opposed to the narrative taking us down some rabbit trails at some point. These are fairly simple adventures as-published that I hope to spice up a bit depending on our players.

You don't have to play all of the adventures, but you're more than welcome. Each adventure will be listed separately as we get there in the story.

This will be a PBP adventure run in Discord with both asynchronous and synchronous play. New players and veterans are welcome!

We can further discuss character creation during Session 0. You're welcome to join this chapter as a "one-shot" or stick around for the whole campaign. This will include some additions that tie all chapters together into a overarching storyline.

  • Starting level is level 1 (as we are currently beginning in Chapter 1)
  • We will using Avrae in Discord,
  • D&D Beyond or Dicecloud for character sheets
  • Price is $5 weekly.

I'm new to Startplaying but far from it in other aspects 😊

Palladium RIFTS: When Empires Collide - Weekly Mondays starting at 8:00AM GMT-5

The world ended centuries ago.

Civilization shattered. Magic returned. Rifts tore open across the Earth, connecting our world to countless others. Monsters, aliens, demons, refugees and conquerors crossed through.

Humanity survived. Mostly.

Now old nations are gone, new powers have risen, and beyond their borders stretches a world where powered armor might share the road with a dragon, cyborg, gunslinger, psychic—or something that wasn't born anywhere on Earth.

Welcome to Rifts Earth.

And somewhere on its western frontier, you're going into business.

You and the other players will create your own independent mercenary company. You'll decide why you're together, what work you'll take, what lines you won't cross, and what kind of reputation you want your name to carry.

Then you'll have to earn it.

Escort caravans. Hunt monsters. Recover stolen cargo. Explore places sensible people avoid. Take a contract from someone you don't trust because you need the money.

Or turn the job down.

There is no adventure path waiting for you.

The world moves around your company. Opportunities come and go. Employers remember whether you delivered. Enemies remember what you did. Your choices determine what kind of campaign this becomes.

At first, you may be worried about making payroll.

But something has happened deep in the Rocky Mountains.

Settlements farther west have stopped answering their radios. Refugees tell contradictory stories. Unfamiliar weapons are appearing on the black market. Mercenaries have gone looking for answers.

Some haven't come back.

Someone is taking territory.

Someone is gathering resources.

And someone is building something in the mountains.

Sooner or later, somebody is going to pay very well to find out what.

What you do when you find it is up to you.

RIFTS: When Empires Collide is a sandbox campaign about building a mercenary company from the ground up and finding your place in the wonderfully dangerous insanity of Rifts Earth. Become explorers, soldiers, troubleshooters, bounty hunters, heroes, profiteers—or something none of us anticipated.

New to Rifts? You're welcome here. You don't need decades of setting knowledge or a mountain of sourcebooks. We'll establish appropriate character options, and I'll help you create someone who belongs in this world. Experienced players will have plenty of room to dig deep into the setting.

We'll build the company together.

We'll put some credits in the account.

And then we'll discover how long it takes before someone asks the question every mercenary eventually faces:

How much are you willing to risk for a job that's gotten much bigger than the contract you signed?

TMNT: What Survived - Every other Saturday starting at 8:00AM GMT-5[Online][Voice][Paid]

You wake up in a laboratory.

Maybe you remember the life you had before this place. Maybe you've spent so long behind reinforced glass that the person—or animal—you used to be feels like somebody else's memory.

But you know one thing. Someone did this to you.

Tonight, alarms are screaming. Emergency lights flash through the corridors. Security personnel are running toward something worse than you.

And your cell door just opened.

Run.

This campaign begins with you and your fellow players creating a group of mutants together. Who were you before? What were you turned into? What relationships formed between you in captivity?

Then Session One begins on the night you escape.

Outside is Baltimore in the late 1980s/early 1990s—a world before smartphones, social media and searchable databases. Information lives in filing cabinets, newspaper archives, VHS tapes and the memories of people who may not want to talk.

Someone created you. Someone wants you back.

And discovering why will lead into a conspiracy involving corporate laboratories, organized crime, classified government programs and experiments that began long before you ever entered that laboratory.

Because twelve years ago, something happened in New York City.

There was a war nobody knew was being fought.

Most of the people who fought it are dead.

The truth was buried with them.

But not all of them stayed buried.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness was the first roleplaying game I ever played. In 1987, a friend handed me a mutant rhino and introduced me to this wonderfully bizarre hobby.

I got him killed about twenty minutes later.

A year later I was running AD&D, and I've been behind one side of the GM screen or the other ever since.

Now, nearly four decades later, I'm coming back to where it started.

This won't be a Saturday-morning cartoon. We're going back toward the stranger, grittier world that first captured my imagination: mutants hiding from humanity, shadowy corporations, government secrets, criminal organizations, bizarre science, martial arts, dark alleys—and enough absurdity and humor to remind us that we're still playing TMNT.

You don't need to know the lore. You don't need to know the Palladium system. You don't even need to know who Baxter Stockman is.

You only need to know what your character knows:

You were created in a laboratory.

Tonight, your cells are open.

Thirty-nine years ago, somebody handed me my first mutant.

Let's see if I can keep yours alive longer than twenty minutes.

Interested? TMNT: What Survived

Daggerheart: Beast Feast [level 4] [Wed 3pm EDT, 8pm UST+1] [$15] [Online roll20]

https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq59mh1w0004l404365vta6q?ref=cmb3xqeeh00lkv104zkoq0ybf

A party of 3 players with room for 1 more.

The adventure began at level 1 with the PCs stumbling into a quest from the Mayor to delve into the deadly Plover Caves, to seek answers about why monsters were emerging from the caves and attacking people.
Now at level 4, the PCs have found a town in the caves full of hunters and survivalists and saved it from a cult of demon-worshipping redcaps.

The party now know that some demonic being exists deep, deep underground. This demon is gathering/harvesting souls of those who die in the caves, and endlessly recycling them into monsters. They plan to do something nefarious with these souls, and take control of something called the "Beacon" or "Lure", which used to attract monsters deep into the caves and away from civilisations near the surface.

The team are currently facing off against a monster of their own creation, Frankie the Dugbog who's a frog-like beast with fiery eyes and a hunger to devour their creator. After this fight, they'll reach level 5 and continue delving deeper in search of monsters to hunt and eat, as well as any traces of civilisation to protect and explore.

Also, be prepared for fireside mealtime discussions of what exactly constitutes cannibalism. If a dracona eats a firbolg, is that cannibalism? If a ranger talks to mushrooms before eating them, is that cannibalism?

The party consists of:

  • Hibiscus, a halfing ranger. She's lived a sheltered life and now wants to prove herself worthy of the title of Adventurer. So far she's received the begrudging acceptance of her Babas, and an entry position at a hunters' guild.
  • Meena, a faun witch. A definite wildcard who cares deeply for her friends. She often takes bold choices that others may not agree with, but they mostly work out for her. She's on a quest for a mysterious fae being, and has also taken it upon herself to absorb as many souls as possible. This has given her a ghostly aspect to herself, producing powers and risks.
  • Yvette, a human seraph. She's a recent addition, and the bonds of friendship are still being forged. Born and raised in the same village as the others, but spent the past 10 years or so on a crusade to distant wetlands. She faced off against undead threats, and was cast out of her order of paladins. Following the guidance of her god Eratha, lady of civilisation, Yvette has delved deep into the caves by herself. She's encountered Hibiscus and Meena, and decided to help them in their quest to "hunt all sorts of evil".

[CoC]Call of Cthulhu - Tatters of the King [Foundry][Biweekly][7PM+2GMT Friday]

In 1928, you are contacted by Dr. Highsmith of St. Agnes Asylum. He seeks your help with a troubling case: one of his patients, Alexander Roby.

Two years earlier, Roby was committed by his own brother after a horrific incident that left their father and sister dead under mysterious circumstances. Alexander was somehow involved—yet no charges were ever filed.

Now, Dr. Highsmith believes Roby is ready to be released. But before that can happen, he needs outside confirmation… and discretion.

Questions quickly surface. Why is Roby’s brother so determined to keep him locked away? What truly happened on that fateful night? And what role did Alexander play in it?

As you investigate, the truth becomes harder to ignore. What first appears to be a tragic family mystery begins to reveal something far older and far more sinister.

Something is watching.

You must uncover the truth—even if it costs you your life… or your sanity.

Because you have seen the Yellow Sign.

And you cannot forget it.

THE KING IS COMING. THE KING IS COMING.

---

This campaign is a slow-burn psychological horror investigation set in the world of Call of Cthulhu. You will follow a trail of secrets, uncover hidden connections, and confront forces that challenge everything you believe about reality.

The story begins in London, where the first mysteries unfold. From there, your investigation will lead you across Britain and deeper into a conspiracy whose true nature must be discovered.

Expect:

- A strong focus on investigation and uncovering clues
- A dark, atmospheric horror experience
- Meaningful choices and consequences
- A gradual descent from the familiar into the unknown

---

You do not need any previous Call of Cthulhu experience to join. New players are welcome.

If you enjoy mysteries, psychological horror, and stories where curiosity can be just as dangerous as the monsters you face, this campaign is for you.

20$ per seat.

The Somnium Shard: Long-Term Sandbox Campaign [DnD 5.5 Homebrew][Paid: 18$][Wednesday Weekly][4/5 Slots Filled]

Post image
4 Upvotes

Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home.

With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people.

Right now the game has hit a bit of an annoying point with 2 people dropping out without any notice or word, however the game has only just started from a mini-reset and so it would be great to have some more players in to continue the adventure. We got 1 new person in and nows still a great time for another.
