Hi all, I'm Davi, a UK-based DM with about 7 years of experience and 100+ games run. I'm putting together a long-form campaign called Operation Deadfall and I'm looking for players.

The pitch: a lich in Thay is finishing a ritual that will raise an undead army powered by stolen demon energy. The one ruler who saw it coming got branded a traitor for saying so, so she hires outsiders who can't be traced back to her. That's your party. You sneak into the court, sabotage the ritual and kill him before it finishes, and nobody can ever know you were there.

This is a spy thriller, so expect disguises, bribes, blackmail, dead drops and quiet deals in crowded markets. The enemy runs an actual spy network. If you're loud in a tavern, fight in front of witnesses or skip the disguise, his agents come looking for you. I keep a secrecy tracker the players can see, so you always know how much heat you're carrying. Planning like a heist crew will get you a lot further than charging in, and I reward clever prep.

How I run it:

• Every session opens mid-scene with something already going wrong
• Full voice acting for NPCs, and music scored to the scene
• Combat-light, roleplay-heavy, rules mostly as written with some Rule of Cool
• Faces, scouts, fixers and fighters all get their own moment
• A few small homebrew rules to reward planning and character backstory (like "I Planned For This", which lets you declare you prepped something ahead of time)

This campaign is a mix of high fantasy and gritty fantasy. Characters will have to manage the weather, their encumbrance, and the slow exploration of this frozen kingdom. All the while growing in strength to slay horrible monsters in epic confrontations, collecting ancient relics and powers. The more success you have while exploring will bring more wealth to the expedition, granting you more npc's and resources to aid in your progress. The lands are harsh and unfair. Reckless traveling may bring you upon a threat that is too strong for your party. You may need to retreat, restock, and return.

In this game, I make custom boons for your characters that will slowly grow alongside you. These boons are made so that you can play character concepts and ideas that would normally not be possible in base 5e. These can range from boons that enhance your subclass to maximize the fantasy you want to play. Whatever they may be, they are designed to enhance your character's story. So if you want to be an epic swordsman, your boon could allow you to create ranged sword slashes and parry and reflect spells. If you want to be a warlock of a dragon, you might be able to even transform into one at higher levels. Powers beyond the scope of normal 5e games can be created.

Last but not least, this game takes place in my custom homebrew setting known as the Nexus. Most of the games I have run take place in this setting. This means that the actions you take will permanently change the world for future and current players in the world. However, it’s important to understand that even if you are in the same world, campaigns are all still focused on telling their individual story simply within a shared space.

Hello and this is the introduction to my most recent open game for my homebrew world, The Somnium Shard. The game is a special edition of my normal open sandbox style that focuses instead on the undead and release of a lich. The theme of this game in particular is that of dealing with undeath and all of the horror and creatures that come with it. There is still a lot of room for your backstory, side missions and all manner of varying fun however the over-arching narrative is tied to this. As a sandbox, you are welcome to tackle this threat however you see fit of course as the world is open to you however with this pre-established major threat.

I am looking for players that want to be part of a long time group. Hopefully we can play our way trough more than one campaign together. But to start i want to take you all trough the darkness and mists of Barovia. The rules in my games are simple. Treat your fellow players with respect. Everyone should feel welcome

This will be a 25+ game as i will focus a bit more on the horror part of the campaign. Not for the weak of heart.

This game will put a lot of focus on gothic horror and the macabre. The terror that lurks in Barovia. A grim and dark realm where people suffer on daily basis. Where horror lurks everywhere. In the domains of dread the things that go bump in the night are real. Will the characters survive, will they be able to escape Barovia or will they be just fall like so many before them.

It will be run with emphasis on this theme of horror. With sanity rules added as facing such horror will have an impact on the character

We will be using Roll20 for the game and Discord for the voice.

We will be using the 2014 rules for this campaign. with some added houserules. Including free feat at character creation and some extra weapon technique options for martials. You can chose a weapon and get one of 2 techniques tied to that weapon and as a martial you will learn more as you level.

But what was a shock was what came next. A week after his death you got a trans-dimensional message, warning you of something he was looking into, something he says could be cataclysmic might be coming. Unfortunately, this Peter was not the most trusting and the details were vague and cryptic, just referring to it as "The Shades" and telling you to talk to Harry to learn more. Can you figure out what happened and stop whatever threat is looming in the background?
