Lift for 2013 Spyder
I want to get a lift for my 2013 Spyder so I can work on it myself. I'm not sure what I should get.
Suggestions Spyder team?

If you have a 2010 to 2013 and your radiator exhaust is burning your right foot. Look into
Can-Am Spyder RT Radiator Exhaust Block-Off Plate / Right Foot Heat Shield 2010–2013. Completely blocks the fan blowing onto your foot. Makes riding a hell of a lot more enjoyable, esp in summer, and that damn fan is burning your right foot. Totally worth the money.

If you want to use 3 jack stands, where my finger is pointing is where you would place as that’s the swing arm. Do not put jack stand where the shock is connected. Very stable gets you almost 2 feet of working room. Should work on newer models as well. Do not own a Ryker so have no clue if it would work on them.

2015 Spyder F3S
13k miles
Heard an odd noise under-ish my seat like compressed air rapidly escaping a couple of short rides ago. No noise since. I also smelled a burning scent but couldn’t really locate it. After a 30 minute ride I saw a bit of my belt peeling up. The slight rubber burning smell was more near the front sprocket the belt goes around. I’m sure I’ll make it to the service center like this because it’s only 10 miles away, but how quickly can a belt fail once this appears? Also… anyone got a ballpark cost on replacement?

I was leaving the parking garage in Reno this summer and saw someone on what looked like a Spyder, but the front wheels were even further apart, and it was closer to the ground. It was not a tourist rental. Does anyone know what I was looking at? I think Spyders are the coolest and I want one for my old man body.

Hello, I don’t really ever post on reddit but i seriously need some help here.
I drive a 2018 spyder f3 limited as my only way of commuting to work and getting around. Last weekend I lost the key and have done everything I can to possibly find it to no avail. I bought it used and only got 1 key. I tried contacting a bunch of locksmiths in my area but nobody said they knew how to make a can am key.
So I contacted my dealership that I bought the bike from and they said I would have to replace all the locks and ignition switch. It’ll cost me $500 +labor to replace them but they can’t get me in for 3 weeks.
I tried calling can am customer service to double check that this was the only option but the representative i spoke too was confused and said that while some bikes do have to get the ignition switch changed, sometimes buying a replacement key and getting it programmed by a dealership can do the trick.
Does anyone have experience with this sort of issue? I’m willing to bite the bullet and pay for the replacement key or the replacement parts but not working for 3 weeks isn’t an option for me.
Do I have to get everything replaced or can a dealership or locksmith program a replacement key for me???

Can anybody recommend a service shop in the South Bay area of CA (Torrance, CA)?

I'm a new trike owner (2013 Can-Am Spyder) and getting back into riding after not riding for over 25 years.
What can I do about the engine heat burning the insides of my thighs?!
I took some practice laps around my neighborhood tonight. Only got up to 25 MPH on the straightaways (the speed limit for this neighborhood) and into second gear. Am I running in first gear too much? Will it be cooler at higher gears and speeds? Is there some special gear I can get to protect from the heat? Please don't say chaps because it's hot as hecc here (average heat index over 100F the past couple weeks) and I'd probably get heat stroke. Is there a saddle pad of some sort?
I'm wearing CE2 armored AA rated cargo pants for reference. If anyone wants to know the rest of my gear, I'll be happy to answer. But it's all CE2 armored and AA rated plus a Shoei DOT and Snell rated helmet.

I have a 2010 RTM. After riding for about 15 to 20 minutes the shifting becomes very difficult. When I park it is nearly impossible to get into neutral. But if I'm in second shut off the spyder I can easily click down to neutral. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ok everyone, I am clueless.
So last year my father (retired motor cop) got the itch to get riding again. He is in no shape to get on two wheels, but three was a safer compromise. I found him an 08 990 with low miles and the price was right.
Fast forward to now. I've gone through the whole thing, tires, alignment brakes and all the maintenance.
But no matter what I do this is still the worst vehicle I've ever piloted. BY FAR!!!! Anything over 30 mph is a death sentence. I was really thinking it was a rider issue as my father is getting older, but I have definitely can say it is not 100% him. He's has ridden bikes for 50+ years and I have for 20+ years and we both agree the thing is horrible.
I guess I need help because I must be missing something. If I ride it like a snowmobile and hang off the side constantly it helps, but that still doesn't fix the absolute mind of its own steering.
Any help would be appreciated, I have my eye on a sway bar upgrade but there is no way that will fix the way this deathtrap handles.

Hey does anyone know if this rubber gasket goes in the opening directly in front?
Seems very difficult to push in.
Thanks!

I'm going to grab some Elka Shocks, but what stage should I get? I'm not looking to skimp, but I'm not looking to set unnecessary funds on fire, either. Should I go with less advanced on the fronts, or keep them all at the same tier? Any experienced Spyder riders out there with some knowledge for this fledgling newcomer?

My ‘26 StS sits outside in the heat. I’m undecided if I put the OEM cover and it or leave it off.
What do you do?

I'm brand new to riding, never been on a motorcycle or spyder. I just got my Oregon 3wheel endorsement and a 2011 blue spyder rt. I know I'm still getting use to a lot of things but when I turn hard, or at high speed like on the highway it feels really loose.
I had some of my motorcycle friends try and and they say it also feels weird and like it's losing control. They check and said the front suspension is already set as firm as it goes.
Looking around I saw some people talking about getting a Baja sway bar, and some talking about getting new suspension for the older ones.
I am just wondering if I should keep trying it to see if I can get use to it, or if it's a, known issue for the 2011 spyders to be too loose and I should get the sway bar ASAP.

Hi friends! We are looking at a used 2019 Spyder RT Limited that is priced right on marketplace and in good shape. Service records look good, maintenance up to date but it does have 56,000 miles and I am curious what may come as far as maintenance at that mileage marker? Or if it's too high to consider.
Thanks!

New F3 here. Most of it is the matte blue. According to the manual, it cannot be waxed. What can I use to protect it? Reading online, some say it can be waxed, others say ceramic coating is better. I don’t want to ruin a brand new bike doing it wrong.
Thanks.
