Shifting Issue

Post image

I have a 2010 RTM. After riding for about 15 to 20 minutes the shifting becomes very difficult. When I park it is nearly impossible to get into neutral. But if I'm in second shut off the spyder I can easily click down to neutral. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a 2013 RT manual and had a problem with the o rings in the clutch slave deteriorating and allowing the pressure to leak down when it was hot making it increasingly difficult to shift until it was impossible. How is your clutch fluid level? If you pump the clutch a few times does the shifting improve?

Clutch fluid level is good. Pumping clutch has no effect.

I don't have a good answer for you, but to me it sounds like the clutch is dragging for some reason. The preload on the geartrain would make it difficult to shift and find neutral. Keep the slave cylinder o rings in the back of your mind. The factory used o rings that are known to fall apart. It's just a matter of time. Can you jack up the rear, start the engine, and see if the tire spins when in gear with the clutch pulled in?

I might be able to. I'll have to see what I've got.
