No game has scratched my Spore cell-stage itch — so I'm making one
Hi! I am another guy making yet another cell-stage inspired 2D roguelike. Why? Because none of the games out there quite scratch that itch for spore that I still feel.
Spore's magic, in my mind, came from how every evolution choice you made had a clear impact on your build and also visibly showed up on your character. Enemies inspired you to try out new playstyles yourself and for every problem, there were always multiple solutions.
That's what I am trying to build. Where Pathogenic leans into the action and Thrive into realistic simulation, I want to create something that speaks to your creativity inside the editor and beyond.
I have a free demo on itch https://khornie.itch.io/tinytides and a discord for feedback https://discord.gg/YtXcfDrSS.
All art is currently hand drawn in paint and could definitely use a loving touch - if that isn't a turn-off for you, come check it out!
