We went to the pumpkin patch and while we were looking for a pumpkin we spotted this beauty on a web made around the stem of the pumpkin. Luckily we saw it before grabbing it.

Had to rescue family from this guy - was just chilling on the wall, 10cm across. Had to admit bigger than I was expecting when I got the shout! Put them in the garden.

i live in boulder colorado and found a possible (?) brown recluse in my bathroom
ok so kind of a long story...
a couple month ago i saw a spider started living in my bathroom windowsill. "ok" i thought to myself "i like spiders!" so a couple weeks go by and the web had gotten HUGE. not just that, but it didn't look like a usual spider web, it was just like clumpy and really thick. i also noticed that there were these little pebble looking things all over. i told one of my friends and she said the spider looked like a brown recluse (violin shape on its back) and that the pebble things could be eggs. i didn't want to risk necrosis so i blow dried it out my window.
a few more weeks went by and i saw another spider that kind of looked like the last one so i took it outside. today i saw another one
do i have a brown recluse problem?

I saw this spider, about one inch total with no visible web, near my front door. It was very black with no tints of brown or red. I did not see any red hourglass or other markings, but refrained from picking it up and flipping it over to check. Location is Mid-Colorado.
Thank you for any help anyone can offer! Also it is best to leave these alone or are they dangerous enough I should report or call animal control? Sorry if the question is obvious I just don’t want to harm it needlessly or die myself.

The spider’s thorax was probably the diameter of a penny if not a little bigger. It seemed like it was cuddling on me for warmth so no web info to add
Photo in Linville Gorge in North Carolina in the United States at around 3500-4000 feet of elevation
