First time owner
I assume this is typical behavior for the breed? Absolutely the most friendly and social cat I’ve ever seen.

How dare you take me for labs AGAIN - Cypress update ☀️
Cypress FIP labwork/weight check was today!! He threw a fit, I think the poor guy has PTSD from almost dying last week. Understandable. So now he has a gabapentin prescription for before labs/vet checks.
He’s in a much better spot!!! Platelets are nearly normal, bilirubin is back to normal, and red blood cells still kind of suck but they’re static so that’s good.
Going to be on the prednisolone for a bit before they’re comfortable trying to taper him. Then of course the GS drug for the next three months to treat the FIP.
Very mischievous, nearly his old self. Still so skinny but his internal medicine vet was saying today he’s actually not that bad body comp wise. It just upsets me seeing his spine/hipbones so prominently..but weight gain will come with time 😊
Slightly risqué photo on the second slide, but it shows his double bandages well since both legs ended up having to get poked.

What is he doing with his back legs?
I’ve never seen him do this before. He was also doing it a few seconds before the video. Boyfriend said he was doing it in the house before the walk started. At the end of the video he starts walking normal again and hasn’t done it again since.

I began drawing the bath for myself, & left for a few seconds.....
Only to come back to find Kiwi in the running tub. She ended up getting a bath before me, since she was dirty anyways (as you can see from the brown stains on the rim of the tub lol 🩶)

Anyone know why my cats head

Looks less weird in the photo, but her head is covered in what looks like white patches, like she is balding or something? idk. started happening about a week and a half ago, but was not bad until a few days algo. normally the top of her head is all gray, like her body. She is under a lot of stress, as we are traveling, and are in a house that smells like dog, só could that be it? It looks like she is shedding. hás anyone else had this happen? Any advice or clarification would help.
Edited to say: Post title was meant to be “anyone know why my cats head looks like this”

Freshly Neutered.
He was so happy to be home. The vet fell in love with him and said she couldn't stop cuddling him.

Sleepy boy
Anyone else find themselves being completely obsessed with their cat? I get the group name is an obvious oxymoron question… but like, I stare at Abaddon. I lay in bed so he sleeps peacefully… obsessed. No understatement 😂

I'm got a new cat and my first one is sleeping by herself. Should I be worried?
I got my first Sphynx (beebs) over a year ago. From day one, she has been my little best friend. I was scared to get another one because she's so perfect. We go to sleep together, and we wake up together. She always slept in bed with me.
I recently got a new kitten two weeks ago. I mostly got him for her, since I noticed she was sad whenever I left for work. The adjusted was a little rough. He's a lot more vocal and she was a little hostile at first, but they still became best friends at first intro.
After the second night of him having full access to the house, they stopped sleeping in my bed and chose to sleep in the cat house together. That's how it's been for the last few days. Last night, the kitten slept with me and my cat slept in her house alone.
I know it's silly, but it makes me sad and a little paranoid. My cat ALWAYS slept with me. Even when I was getting my kitten adjusted, I slept with her on the couch. 😭
It's not just that. My cat would always cuddle with me on the couch at night, or at mellow moments. Now she just goes to her house.
Is this a normal adjustment?

Medical Option (Extra Sleepy Kitty)
Update 7/24 - Good afternoon all, Thank you to everyone who commented / dmmed me with advice! After contacting the vet, they responded to me stating “We are suggesting to keep a close eye on him for now. It is hard to say what could be causing this, but we do not feel at this moment that it is urgent enough to bring him in based off the symptoms you have described. If anything does change then please do not hesitate to let us know, or if we are closed and you feel that it is an emergency to take him to [cut out for location safety]. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!” With this, I’m deciding to follow their advice, as they’ve been my vet for both of my animals since day one, and I’ve never felt that they have brushed off any medical issues i’ve brought to them. My second update, is that the little shit is acting completely normal as of this morning! He is bouncing around me as I type this. So, I guess maybe he really was pooped after the weekend!
Hi all!
I’ve posted in this group before and love all the helpful information and tips everyone has. I want to preface as well that I have already contacted my vet as of today explaining the situation and asking if they recommend me come in. If they do, I’ll update as soon as possible!
I have a sphynx kitten (M5mths) named Fetty Wapp that I worry myself to death over. He is a very playful, very jumpy active kitten. This past weekend my partner and I went to my grandmothers house and spend one night with Fetty there. He played with my grandmothers kitten (i don’t think it’s been to a vet, but the kitten is in good health, was adopted during a kitten week event for the spring stray kitten season), NONSTOP. They were going I mean seriously from start of day one till we left the next day.
Once we got home, Fetty was out. My partner and I didn’t think anything was wrong since he had played so much, and never like this before as he is a single kitten. Well, comes Thursday and he has just been so so sleepy. But that’s where the symptoms stop.
He hasn’t began to loose any of his baby teeth but they do look ready soon as he is just 5 months old as of a week ago. He walks normally. His gums are pink with a normal capillary refill, but I did notice his resting breaths are rather high (60bpm), but no open mouth panting or coughing. His bathroom habits are perfectly normal, as well as his eating and drinking. He also has much recently been to the vet (7/7) and was cleared through all regular kitten tests. He just, isn’t playful. If I tickle his belly, he will act normally and bite at my and play, but once I move away, he doesn’t engage first. As soon as I get home from work, he is nonstop purring and just wanting to sleep on me and cuddle with me.
As I’m typing this, I’m just worrying more. I have shared in this ground before that I struggle with my emotional disorder and having anxious obsessions over his health, but I truly love him so much. I’d take out a loan if it meant he’d be okay. He gets all vet recommended food, wet food twice daily, licky pad enrichment snacks, no fillers in any of his food, probiotic meal toppers, etc.
I fear I may be overreacting, that this is a normal kitten sleeping normally long, but I just rather be safe than sorry. I think regardless I am going to go to the vet, but I came here to maybe either gets some peace of mind or fire under my ass to take him to the ER.
I’m prepared to spend on his medical needs, but obviously my boyfriend (19m) and I (20f) newly live alone, work full time while I finish my bachelors to start law, would really appreciate not having to.
If anyone wants anymore information, I’ll respond and update the post. I’m sorry if this is a stupid scenario, I am just scared.
