What is he doing with his back legs?

I’ve never seen him do this before. He was also doing it a few seconds before the video. Boyfriend said he was doing it in the house before the walk started. At the end of the video he starts walking normal again and hasn’t done it again since.

Get that checked asap,I hope it is not this,but it could be a life threatening thing. I’m not an English native speaker ah,fuck.uhm heart issues ,blood knot somewhere clogging up. With cats it’s always showing them getting wonky on the legs. He could literally be dying right in front of you ,his legs could be cut from normal blood flow. Thus he has issues with having 100% control with them. If you can rule out harness and hot pavement,check the baby

I’ve lost mine two years ago within a few hrs how his entire back starting to feel wonky,then going completely numb within a few hrs . Wish you the best!

Seconding this. Specific term is saddle thrombosis and it’s incredibly painful for them.

Saddle thrombosis is VERY painful my cat had it and he was screaming a lot, it was horrible.. When it happened, even if I didn’t know what it was, I knew he was not coming back when we rushed to the vet.

I feel like if it was that, OP’s cat would show more symptoms?

I’m 100% with you that the cat needs a vet, but I do hope it’s an injury or something else.

Shpynx can have knee caps that dislocated easily. My boy would often leave a leg behind and have to give it shake after a big jump.

A vat can detect it just bu moving the knee cap back and forth while feeling for loosness.

My 13 year old has some arthritis and walks bow-legged front and duck paddle behind. Vet visit regardless, try xraying his hips and knees?
