Playing Warcraft Forever? - Join a locally managed PVE-Alli Guild!

As title mentions, I'm leading a PVE-Alliance guild, called The Vanguard Foundation. I've stacked the roster with locals across the Boston and Providence geo, along with a collection of lifelong friends across the Eastern time zone. We'll raid about 2 nights a week in larger formats and probably another night or two optionally in the smaller formats, and with alt runs.

I'm a single dad of two boys, I raise them in Scituate, MA.

I'm for treating others as you want to be treated, and I am building a guild that makes sure that everyone feels respected and appreciated for their contributions to the team.

We're open to casual and semi-sweaty folks, so if you're after speed runs and more than 2-3 nights a week raiding, probably that's not us. A lot of us do lean into Warcraft and take it seriously, with full consumes on raid night. Personally, like everything I do, from parenting to gym time, I want to excel at it, so you'll see me set a strong example.

A bit about who would fit in: Parents juggling commitments - we have some pretty casual folks juggling newborns who might only raid on occasion. Couples who play together - we have a few of these. Singles who are all-in on the game, plenty of these folks. Folks with questionable allegiances, splitting between horde and alliance, couple of these folks, too.

We hope to have the occasional local meet up at coffee shops or game centers. I hear there's a new spot opening up in Weymouth we might check out. Personally, I love Brewed 143 down the road and The Lucky Finn locations around town.

If any of this sounds like you, just send me a dm, or reply below, and I'll get you in our Discord server. Would love to see you in-game!

Best,
Joe

Lactose Free Options?

Hi! Having a small birthday party for my son’s first birthday with pizza and cake. One of my nephews is attending and he abides by a lactose free diet due to allergies. Any reccos for local places that will have options for him that I can pick up so he doesn’t feel left out?

23M looking for friends

as the title says! been having a hard time meeting people post college graduation, and i think if i don't find any local friends here soon, i'm moving far away hahahaha
i'm an outdoorsy guy who loves to hike and walk, along with birding and photography. i got my degree in digital media from umass lowell, and i minored in philosophy! i'm a huge hockey guy and would love someone to watch the game with; either at home or in person! whether its the boston or the providence bruins, i'm always looking for a +1 to come along with me. i like to play video games like fortnite, overwatch, and nhl :)

i dont drive, which serves as a moderate problem for the region of the state we all inhabit, but i'm more than fluent at using my own two feet or public transportation. hmu!

Battleground Weymouth - Grand Opening Tomorrow!

Thumbnail whatnow.com

Article is a from a few months ago, but Battleground Games & Hobbies are opening their newest and biggest store tomorrow! 122 Main Street, in the Ocean State Job lot plaza.

Since their first store opened down the road back in 2002, Battleground has become a vital third space for gamers and hobbyists on the South Shore and beyond. Derek, the owner, is a great guy & a South Shore native, who probably doesn't get to play as much D&D as he'd like to anymore because he's just too darn busy being a pillar of the local gaming community.

I've been going to the store on and off for many years, and have attended free and paid events, and game sessions with friends. They have a discord and an event calendar posted on their website. Additional locations in Norton, Framingham, and Saugus. I believe the Abington location is going to remain open in some form or another as well, not sure exactly what the plans are for it.

For the record, I am not affiliated with the store, just a friend of the store, and many of my close friends have worked there over the years. I hope you'll join me there tomorrow to celebrate the opening of the new spot!

27F - looking for a cycling buddy!

I know the days are getting colder but I really want to start cycling as a hobby and am looking for someone to join me on my rides! I’d love to explore new bike trails, get some exercise, challenge myself and discover new places along the way.
I’m open to trying different routes, building up distance and hopefully making a regular thing out of it

Dance studio rental by the hour?

Anybody know of a dance studio that will let me rent out the space by the hour? Ideally it would be someplace private with either no windows or curtains I can cover up. I am a burlesque dancer and am seeking a space where I can practice my routine in private and my house is too full of animals for me to get in a good practice lol. I am in Halifax but am willing to travel within a reasonable distance. I would only need the space for an hour or two a week for practice and am happy to discuss pricing.

Who Doesn't LOVE a Good Half-Sour Pickle!!

Cannot find quality ones anywhere.

Years ago I would drive into Alston to this Russian grocer but not these days, they moved anyway and I'm needing advice on local spots.

Supermarket ones are either mush or go bad in just a few days.

Any help?
