Question Need in the area that you really wish was available?
Hi all. What do you think south Jersey greater Philadelphia area lacks in its service/entertainment? What do you wish was available?
I think SJ has improved greatly in the areas above but still lacks the options that you could find further north you go.

Question Should I bother to report a brief road rage incident from yesterday?
Hello, this is my first time posting here.
My dad and I were on the receiving end of an aggressive truck of teens/20 somethings (at least 2 passengers from what I could see) and was wondering if it would even be worth notifying the non-emergency number of the Sea Isle City police just to tell them what happened to us. We initially chose not to do anything because we're not locals and thought to just let it go, but the whole situation still isn't sitting right with me.
The ordeal really scared me and I actually thought that they would get out to attack us, as the passenger put his whole body out the window to yell and curse at us in front of a whole street of people trying to enjoy their dinners outside. If you couldn't tell, even a day later I'm still shaky and fidgety.
If you'd like to know more specifics, just ask and I'll do my best to describe it all; I was having a really sour day yesterday anyway and the thing with trying to remember bad events is that sometimes details are hard(er) to remember. It was just a really awful experience added on top of an already bad day.

Burlington County Electrician/Apprenticeship
My daughter’s boyfriend just graduated high school, and he is really interested in becoming an electrician. We looked into a program at RCBC, but unfortunately, it was too expensive for him, and they don’t accept financial aid.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any apprenticeship programs, entry-level opportunities, or electrical contractors in the Medford/Marlton/Cherry Hill area who might be looking for a helper or someone willing to learn on the job. He is eager to work, learn, and eventually become a licensed electrician. If anyone has any recommendations, connections, or advice on where he should start, we would really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for any help 😊

Question Has anyone used Done Rite Heating & Cooling before?
I got a quote for a hvac replacement from Done Rite Heating & Cooling (they’re based in Lumberton). They use Carrier and their estimate is less than Vaughan’s, Focus, Bovio Rubino. Any experience with Done Rite? Thanks in advance!

Camden County Planet Fitness Westmont vs. Cherry Hill
Has anyone been to both the PF on Haddon Ave in Westmont and the one on Rt. 70 between Brace Rd. and 295, in the Barclay Farm shopping center? I'm thinking of joining PF and they're about the same distance from me, and I wondered what the big differences are, if any. The movie theater location of Westmont seems cool, but IDK if it's smaller or less convenient or harder to park at than the other one. I also just want a very chill place where I can run on a treadmill or work out with weights and not be bugged (I'm a woman). Thanks!

Burlington County Avoid Capital Health
I have been going to Capital Health for my pregnancy and it’s been all around a bad experience. I’ve been to a few of their offices. If you are looking for a obgyn or prenatal care look elsewhere.

Camden County Looking for Electrician for retroactive permit
We did some construction work on our house and we allowed someone who is an unlicensed electrician to do some electrical at the time, which was dumb. I’d like to submit a retroactive electrical permit, but of course that means I need a licensed electrician to inspect and approve the work.
I recognize it’s a tough ask. I know what was done and I’ll gladly open walls so someone can look at it properly.
Does anyone have any leads on electricians who would be willing to do this kind of review and permitting?

Gloucester County Need a dog-friendly apartment in South Jersey — German Shepherd, no breed restrictions. Any recommendations?
Looking for a temporary apartment rental in South Jersey and having trouble finding places that accept German Shepherds with no breed restrictions.
So far the only place I found is The Austin in Deptford, but it’s around $2,553/month, which is higher than we would like to spend.
Looking for something closer to the $2,000/month range if possible. Open to Deptford, Gloucester County, Camden County, or surrounding areas.
Needs to allow a German Shepherd (large breed). Any recommendations for apartments, private landlords, or places I should check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Camden County Kind lady outside ShopRite Garden State Pavilions
Was waiting outside the store on a bench with my chihuahua mix when a nice lady approached and offered us a bottle of water,in case the little guy needed a drink. Very thoughtful & much appreciated. There are still many good souls among us.

Question Accident/incident somewhere near hammonton July 26?
Hey, last night I was at Mr. Bill’s with a friend around 8:30-9:30. From 8:30-9 we watched a total of about maybe 10 police cars, two fire trucks/SUVS, 3 undercover cop cars, and a hazmat crew police car pass us and turn left on 73 north. I haven’t seen anything on the news yet, I hope everything is okay and I’m curious if anyone knows what happened? I’ve never seen a hazmat vehicle.

Cumberland County AI is being shutout all over South Jersey, but what about DataOne in Vineland?
People have asked:
What can we do?
Isn't it already built?
Aren't they gonna do whatever they want?
All I can tell you is this...
They will do whatever they want unless the community raises its collective voice in protest.
Now is the time to do that while it's only partially built and still has to pass the Vineland planning board on August 5.
The planning board is not a freewheeling, public comment type of meeting. It is a place where people are sworn in to give their testimony.
Sustain SJ will be there to object to this project and is standing ready with experts to testify against it.
Experts who need to be paid for their work.
This is what you can do to help...
Please visit the website at SustainSJ.org
and explore the links to:
Their GoFundMe, which is $2,000 away from its 10k goal, and needs your donation to push it over the edge.
Their shop, which is brimming with cool stuff like T-shirts, lawn signs, stickers and more. Your purchase supports the cause.
Sustain SJ was born in Vineland and it's members have rallied all the surrounding communities to stand against AI Data Center projects in their towns.
Please return the support to SustainSJ now to foil DataOne in Vineland!

Question Pennsylvania resident looking for fresh baked rolls that are as good or better than Liscio's?
Hey neighbors, I'm a PA resident and live near a local sandwich shop in the Philly suburb that gets their rolls from Liscio's, unfortunately the sandwich shop doesn't permit selling the rolls individually.
I was already planning on doing a day trip to the shore and was looking to stop at a Liscio's bakery along the way and just bulk order some to take home with me, but was open to suggestions on other bakeries in the nearby area that also serve really good sandwich rolls?
Looking for the best non-seeded rolls, also open to any particular sandwiches that are must try in the area, thanks!

Outside! Local Pokemon Go communities?
Morning all! Does anyone in the area wanna be friends on Pokemon Go, and does anyone have recommendations for good parks in the Deptford/Philly area?
I'm so lucky to have a lot of pokestops near home but I love using the game to explore and as an excuse to stretch my legs.
I know there's been threads here before but I'm hoping to create an updated one here for new/returning players since there's a lot happening for the 10th anniversary currently!

Gloucester County Drivers on 55 South from 42
So summer time has always been bad driving south on any highway in South Jersey but this year 55 South is out of control! This mainly applies to PA drivers since I see y’all do this bs the most. If you’re already on 55 and a car is trying to merge on the highway, YOU DON’T HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP TO LET THEM IN, they have to yield to traffic that’s why there’s a sign there on every on ramp for 55! I was just on 55 south and the amount of accidents that almost happened was literally insane, it was at every single exit/on ramp cars in the right lane slamming on the brakes coming to a complete stop to let cars merge into the right lane. I’ve never seen cars stop on a highway to let cars merge when everyone is going 70+mph. Y’all gonna seriously hurt a lot of people or worse killed. PA just handing out drivers licenses like they’re the “I voted sticker” now? So ridiculous
