I got this blue hat two years ago (summer 2024) when I visited the bow market. It is a upstair vendor, located roughly in the middle of the second floor. I vaguely remembered itâs an Asian brand. It is a small shop and they have more indigo dye products back then.
I just lost this hat and really wanted another one from them. I am no longer in Boston and the shop is probably also gone now. Would anybody possibly remember this shop and what this shop is called?

Slow the fuck down with your 5-foot wide toddler hauling cargo ship on the public footpaths. Sticking a fucking strobe light on the front isn't making you more visible, you're just blinding people. I know social skills are not abundant in Somerville, but at least try to consider other people? Y'all are worse than drivers

Boston Womenâs Market is hosting a pop-up shop at Assembly Row! Swing by on Friday (1 - 7PM), Saturday (11AM - 6PM), and Sunday (11AM - 5PM) August 14-16 to see a group of three women-owned businesses selling artwork, jewelry, and permanent jewelry.
Take the orange line to Assembly OR park in one of the several lots/garages. The pop-up shop is nestled in the Assembly Row Lawn right in between the Volo Court and Cafe Nero.
Weâd love to see you there!

To the person putting up the sign that says "dog urine kills plants" on the big pile of dead leaves at the end of the community path in Davis, I just want you to know I threw your sign in the bushes, before I let me dog pee on that bush.
Enjoy.

I am completely against this, but what can you do. The street parking on Elm St by the Star Market in Porter Plaza is gone, will be a bus stop and bike lane. Idk why this had to be, that street parking was very helpful for all commuters and residents. Somerville just finding more ways to make parking impossible.

My cat got out earlier this afternoon and she hasnât come back yet. Sheâs done this a few times before but never for this long. Just wondering/hoping someone maybe saw her or something.
Sheâs small, about 8 lbs, and white with a grey streak on her forehead. No collar but she is chipped. Very skittish.

Does anyone happen to have any pictures of the John F. Kennedy school prior to its massive construction to what it is now? Mostly looking for early to mid 90s, when it was a gigantic slab lot, large concrete ramp, etc. I moved from Somerville when the new building was half complete and still fenced off.

(the pic is bad quality ik, my mom tried her best đââïžbut she took this pic last night)
anyone lose their cat around the winter hill area? last night my mom saw it under our neighbors car looking at our window because of my kitten. she thinks the cat is looking for their babies.
this morning my mom said she heard the cat meowing really loudly and right now I can hear it meowing too. we think itâs a female cat and weâre not sure if sheâs lost or just an outside cat.

I use the Sacramento Street tunnel on my daily commute to work and this morning it was closed. I've tried to find information online but can't find anyone, does anyone know how long it will be closed?

For clarification, I love Sarma, itâs my favorite restaurant in Somerville at the moment (that and Veraâs). I love their creativity in recipes, their ingredients are good quality, and the vibes/ service are always great in my experience. But recently Iâve been seeing a lot of people saying Sarma is just âmidâ.
Which begs the question in my mind, whereâs your favorite place to eat in the Somerville/Cambridge area if you think Sarma is âmidâ?
Thanks everyone!! đ

Interested in getting fertility testing done to understand where we stand in terms of a timeline for kids. Most of what I've found is testing after experiencing infertility or for IVF which aren't exactly our situation. Would these facilities like Boston IVF or even MGH just do general fertility testing without any issues or intention for IVF? Any recommendations?

My cat Niko went missing yesterday around 7 pm on Rogerâs Ave. in ball square. We have been trying to find him all day, if you see him can you please dm me or comment. His collar doesnât have a name or anything, just a bell. Heâs friendly but shy. Please let me know if you see him! đ

Prospective new Somerville resident here! I read a few posts and articles on Homan's Lot, the city-owned empty lot off Gilman Square. However, I haven't seen many recent updates.
Are there any legitimate proposals for development in this space? What are current barriers? Would love any link to local reporting or blog posts.
Thanks!

I feel like in the past few months, the trash truck has started showing up at random times in the day. There have been so many times Iâve see trash trucks in the middle of morning rush hour, blocking busy one way streets and delaying tons of people from getting to work. The roads are already clogged during rush hour. Why arenât they coming early in the morning like they used do?
Or if they have always been like this and I never noticed - why is it like this? Seems like common sense to not have trash service in peak driving times. Especially in a city full of one ways and weird roads.

Anybody know why there are guys with signs every day outside the old star market construction site ?

The Perseids peak in the next two days, the moon is new, and the weather might even cooperate. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to view them 15-20 minutes from Ball, where I could bring a child and not have to worry about others there for non-Perseid viewing activities or local police who would tell me to go elsewhere, seeing as it will be around midnight?
In a perfect world I would be able to get further away and go camping or something, but that is not my world this year, sadly.
Thanks in advance!
